Cartoons that will never get a DVD release

By the way, does Disney own this now? Or did they already?

What's the difference?

Anything owned by Disney. Aladdin, Wuzzles, Bonkers, Quack Pack, Mighty Ducks, Schnookums and Meat, Timon and Pumbaa, Jungle Cubs, The Little Mermaid, Tarzan, etc etc etc.

Also, any non-Disney cartoon owned by Disney like Muppet Babies, Peter Pan and the Pirates, Eek! The Cat, Life with Louie, Dog City, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Spider-Man (in region 1), etc etc etc etc etc.

>By the way, does Disney own this now?

If they do, it will probably never be released because it competes with their existing Peter Pan films. They buy the rights to properties all the time and shelves them so that they don't interfere with other properties that they're trying to market.

I thought this one didn't have a DVD release. Apparently it does, but only in Iran? What the fuck?

Disney only owns Fox movies, they're legally unable to own anything from Fox television because they already own ABC.

What's a DVD?

They've owned it since 2002, yes. And have no desire to use it, preferring their version.

The broadcasted Daria has a bunch of licensed music, DVD version had to replace all of it.

Mostly just pop music that MTV can't get the continued rights for.

Cant someone just edit it in and pirate it to people?

>tfw the best we have are those "HQ" rips on Youtube that are all zoomed in for some reason

>Attack of the Killer Tomatoes,

The rights probably reverted back to Saban, but I doubt it will ever get a release since the movie it was based on had only a dvd release.

>Bonkers

Was released on DVD. Apparently it’s out of print

>Quack Pack,

Was released on DVD, apparently only one volume. It’s 5 bucks on amazon.

Disney got it when they bought out Fox Kids, but then sold it to TMS.

>Jungle Cubs,

It’s on Amazon Prime and Region 2 DVD.

Not true. Bonkers was never released officially on DVD. It had three VHS releases each with two episodes, but the entire series has never been on DVD. All the Bonkers DVDs you see are just the known TV ripped episodes thrown on a DVD by a pirate. None of them are complete(even though they claim to be).

Just found out the guy who did the voice of the police chief is the same guy who plays Dr. Silberman in the first three Terminator movies. How I didn't recognize his voice, I have no idea.

Muppet Babies
Cartoon Planet
Both due to rights issues with all the footage they use for other sources.

why does it hage an enflish title ? its french

Apparently many Canadian shows, but especially anything from CinéGroupe because they refuse to release their shows AT ALL - even digitally
Seriously, fuck that company.

>The rights probably reverted back to Saban,
Disney bought Saban Entertainment in 2001, so it reverted back to themselves?

Not him but Saban Brands != Saban Entertainment

Muppets was due to all the footage from SW and Indiana. All of these now belongs to Disney, but I guess they don’t see profit from such an old show.

Exactly, so there's literally no reason why a show owned by Saban Entertainment would "revert" back to Saban Brands, which had zero connection to Saban Entertainment beyond Haim Saban's involvement.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is still owned by Disney.

I think there's a similar situation with Cyrano 2022.

Though unlike The Twins of Destiny, it apparently never got an English dub anywhere.

Stop being retarded, obviously he wasn't using "revert" in any legal sense. Just that Saban may have regained ownership of it in general.

Did this cartoon have a video game?

>Mighty Ducks
It hurts so much.

And what have they made?

garbage

never heard of any of the shit before

Fox owned it. J.m. Barry was not owned by Disney. Adaptations of his literature are to be settled with his estate, not Disney.

Use torrents and mega, nigga.

OP was probably posting in reference to Disney's purchase of Fox and its properties.

>If they do, it will probably never be released because it competes with their existing Peter Pan films.

Well that sucks. This was just a better and more fleshed out interpretation. The Disney version of the lost boys and the pirates were both quite bland by comparison.

I was honestly shocked to discover that the English version (minus maybe two or three episodes) was on YouTube.

>TMS

So now its owned by...Sega? Huh.

Torrent what? The same low quality TV rips we've had for the past 12 years?

Yeah, but that's just 3 episodes out of 39. When people say they want something released on DVD they mean the whole thing.
