I’m guessing in the first episode Batgirl is going to use her intuition and some detective work to figure out that the other girls are all superpowered, and then she’s going to propose they assemble the team. I mean, they all turn out to be good friends, they go to the same school, and they’re all superheroes. Of course they’re gonna form a crimefighting team.
I’m betting at some point Supergirl is gonna point out that Babs’s gadgets are lame compared to her superior Kryptonian strength and that she doesn’t even need any help, but then her hubris gets her into a jam and Babs saves her or something. Pretty standard plot.

Honestly, being vain and self-centered should be something that's played up more for Zatanna. I mean, WB wants to make a Zatanna movie, right? Well, bam, there's your central conflict. Zatanna's vain and selfish and only thinks about herself, and she has to learn to think about others on her way to becoming a proper hero. It's a classic plot, but it's classic for a reason, and would work well in a movie, especially if you go younger and make Zee only in her early 20s.
