Can't find a pic of it but there was a Supergirl outfit from the 90s with spikes going down her arms, that was really fucking bad.

Incompetent fucks.
Every single piece of concept art is better, more faithful and outright cooler then the design we got.

I appreciate the idea of turning the stereotype/satire of 90s comic culture into a stereotype/satire of 00s comic culture, but it's just too much of a stretch.

>90s comic culture into a stereotype/satire of 00s comic culture
Seeing as how none of that actually happened in any of his comics, I think it was just a meme and the only reason for this thing to exist is that DC wanted to push a movie-friendly version of Lobo.

It's not like the way Malekith looked was even in the Top 20 reasons why this movie sucked or anything.

this goes without saying

Lobo looks 14

I don't know if it was ever intended to be, but the character himself was/is such a parody of everything stupid about 90's comic, presented in a comedic fashion that also did what 90's comics tried to do better than they ever did.

Maybe it has nothing to do with the character's actually back-story, but I prefer this iteration.

Not... not the boy-band whimp version, the over-the-top meathead trucker version that gets his shit stomped in while taking the piss out of whoever's stomping his shit in.

Nubo was pretty much the embodiment of edgy OCs and I didn't think it was a bad idea for such a character. The actual bad idea was making him the replacement for Lobo. I'd prefer them being brothers or even him being the son of Lobo. The dynamics would be fun.

This isn't the design they went with though

That's not Abomination, that's Lobo.

This abomination?

There is not a single pleasant thing on that cover.

Sure it was. Dark World is really underrated.
It had 2 main issues.
1 - Malekith was a completely flat depthless villain and didn't look cool enough or wasn't badass enough to make up for it like Hela was.
2 - Earth bound humor from Kat Dennings was lame and intrusive during the final battle. (dear god it was a godsend compared to the unbearable endless "humor" of ragnarok)
That's it.

I don't know, it could have been good. Heath Ledger proved you can deviate pretty far form the Joker's norm and still make something incredible, and a punk-like iteration of the Joker doesn't seem too hard. The only issue with the design is that they did absolutely nothing with it and I guess expected it to be loved for absolutely no reason. If it had been a "classic" joker, then at least fans of the source material would've liked it.

It was okay for the story. Better if it had long hair and shaded

How the hell does that gun even work?

Focused too hard on visual. I think there's a scene in the movie where he's on the floor surrounded by knives. For what reason, who put the knives there, are they his knives?

I’m with you on this. He had such a “nothing” role that they could’ve pretty much written him right out and the story wouldn’t have deviated much.

Nah that was solid.
Armored but not retarded or "edgy".
Colors are good.
Nothing wrong with it except the red around the neck.

Why does he have baby pajamas?

I still dont get what is so bad about this.its lighty armored, the red/black is broken up

It's less that it's bad and more that he had a more-or-less perfect costume beforehand, and they changed it for seemingly no other reason than they felt it was necessary, even if it wasn't.

Her Nightwing design was pretty badass. I don’t know why they fucked it up with this shit.

Harley had a miscarriage, I think

>hello billy 2.0
They just keep casting gimmick actors to play Dr Who don’t they?

The comic address how crappy this looks in the issue it's introduced. Matt Murdock has all the fashion sense of some one who cannot see.

While not the worst designs of all time, DC You era had some ugly costumes, like the Flash and Wonder Woman.
