Pretty much everything here can also be applied to Undertale/ Deltarune and Toby, as well, which is relevant because the fandoms had similar roots. In fact, Toby making Undertale then Deltarune also did the same thing, having pop culture surface fans then weeding out a real fanbase that will probably be dedicated for life.
