Strawmen.
No one. Nu-Ghostbusters was the only one that got considerable backlash, and that had nothing to do with them being women.
Yea Forums
Well, some of Yea Forums. You can almost always find some of Yea Forums being mad at anything.
FTFY
I was quite mad at the casting desu
I don't remember a lot complaining about female Luke, but that may have been because it was drown out by the outrage at black Stormtrooper.
Did they all tank?
I recall a lot of complaining about Gal Gadot.
>Ghostbusters (2016) didn't flop, it just paved the way for the success of Star Wars and the MCU!
Well, I'm glad we settled that, I guess you ladies can stop whining about it now.
Well, nobody watched the Ghostbusters remake.
Yeah, the complaining about Rey only started once the film was out.
Ironically enough, the "feminists" and "woke" crowd were the ones more vocal about their hate for Wonder Woman. Leading up to the movie release there were a bunch of click-bait articles about Wonder Woman being shaved despite living in a closed-off magical island, about all the amazons having super-model type bodies and how bad that was, how Wonder Woman dressed to skimpy and how that was male gaze, how the movie focused to much on the male co-star and on the romance, how Gal Gadot had been a Israeli soldier and killed innocent Palestinian kids, and so on.
It was more because they choose a twig without any curve or any hint of muscle than anything else to play Wonder woman.
Wonder Woman showing feminine motherly qualities like finding a baby adorable and showing real compassion for her male counterpart went a long way to making her an enjoyable character. She showed legitamate care for those around her regardless of their gender and her feminine nature actually came out best because she wanted to protect everyone and not just be a badass. I honestly think a lot of female heroes would be way more tolerable if people approached them the same way.
>Got called racist for not liking black stormtrooper
>Because i wanted them to be Maori
Well fuck me i guess. Didn't help that they'd then completely waste the potential that having a former Stormtrooper as a main character would bring.
Iconic enemy was supposed to have an redemption arc, but since he is black all is forgiven when the helmet came off. People don't stress enough how fast he was forgiven, since he seems like a nigger escaping a plantation.
Did a literally retard make this edit? Like, why is 70's-00's listed, if Superman is there?
Fuck, why erase anything if you can't get rid of reboot ghostbuster feet?
I remember a bogus article that made the rounds before the movie release where it was said they had come in contact with an model who had worked with Gal during her model days, and that had suffered rape or something from a mutual married male friend, and Gal instead of being supportive of the model, doubted her claims and tried to pin the blame on the model for trying to ruin said friend's marriage by acting like a homewrecker slut.
Someone remember this?
/pol/ was extremely mad
>I wanted them to be Maori
Not much chance of that happening.
Tons of incels who didn't band together on youtube yet.
I kinda assumed that's why no one is drowning the guy out. Because so few people cared to defend the reboot.
I saw it on tv recently... it's pretty lame. Nothing is allowed to breath, and every ghost looks so goofy.
And because she was Israeli.
>why is 70's-00's listed
Because for all those decades girls didn't like those things and ignored them, because they were things that only gross nerds liked. How young are you to have not lived during a time like that?
>Hasn't seen the '78 Superman movie
The fucking state of yourself, user.
only wonder woman backlash i remember was over that retarded "women only screening"
Are you the literally retard that made this? Did it make sense to you when you did? I'm curious now, how does your brain justify taking time to do that?
I mean, shit, He-Man is a GAY ICON, so that alone is a weird part of it. I'm pretty sure Ghostbusters fared well with general audiences, it only became a "nerd thing" afterwards.
At least you didn't put Transformers in there.
Which everyone forgot about when WB came out and said they had no part in that, it was just a single theater chain.
Revisionist history
Many people before it was released and people found out it was actually a damn good film.
That's a pretty stupid time to pretend Superman started existing. I mean, he had shows and radio dramas long before then, even if we're not saying comics "count". Shit, if Cap only started existing with his movie, women LOVED IT because Evans was pure sexy.
The artist who made that comic went insane that people criticized her opinion that she deleted the original post and then changed her name and pic on twitter, she still complains what constitutes as a Mary Sue with the Yougioh abridged guy white knighting for her.
>Forgiven
We see Finn on a single "evil invasion" situation and he's immediately afraid to do anything and tries to escape, what's there to forgive?
>Having this much trouble understanding an edit
Jesus christ, where did you niggers blow in from? I'm not the guy that made it but it's pretty easy to understand without having it explained to you. Superman is there because he's in the panel that Wonder Woman was, and same with He-Man replacing She-Ra.
>nerds arnt gay
Fuck off you moronic meggafaggot.
>rebooting series that are perfectly fine backfires
>making new shit nobody cares about also backfires
>has to go back to comics and shuffle something from the big bag of "shit we haven't turned into a movie yet" until they get a female out of it
>thrice over
>finally get one right, maybe?
>it's still only appealing to niche audiences
I don't get this fucking logic and I don't care for it, these people somehow making mad bank out of it so they can go fuck themselves
>Because for all those decades girls didn't like those things and ignored them, because they were things that only gross nerds liked.
They ignored them because gendered marketing drilled into their heads that they couldn't enjoy it and that it wasn't for them. It's the same reason why boys back then probably hated Jem.
You're so obsessed with MUH SJWs that you ignore that these products were heavily researched and manufactured to be successful with a specific demographic at the time of their creation and more than likely still are. You're blaming Tumblr for shit guys in suits decide to fund.
>Who was even mad at Wonder Woman?
youtube.com
Just a heads up, but what you're doing is referred to as "gaslighting". It's a form of bullying wherein one attempts to leverage their privileged position of power (in your case, the privilege that comes from supporting large international corporations) in order to deny someone else's lived experiences and/or empirical evidence.
It's a form of psychological abuse, and frankly makes you look childish.
I find the fact that Gal Gadot was a willing and proud soldier for a genocidal apartheid state who has killed a double digit number of children in a fucking school, and bragged about it, for the sake of imperialism and yet fucking NO ONE, even the #WOKE crowd, said fucking ANYTHING about this, to be absolutely baffling. She's literally an evil White barbie murdering little brown kids just trying to go to school, but she ticks the box with "Jewish" next to it and suddenly being a living stereotype is okay.
>Never even mentioned sjws or tumbler at all
>"You're obsessed with them!"
user i get the feeling that you're the one obsessed with some particular phantom that you're desperate to argue with, my post had absolutely nothing to do with what you're talking about. Also i think that you're also pretty young if you really think that gendered marketing was actually some kind of brainwashing tactic to control opinions for decades.
>Hello, I used to be space Nazi 30 minutes ago, but I didn't like the commander, so I left
It's just a better Thor. Really don't understand all the hype.
>believes corporate marketing
if you are big enough of a tard to not want to watch or try something because suits want it to appeal to a certain demographic that's your own fault. Wonder Woman was advertised towards women but men still went to see and liked it
>I find the fact that Gal Gadot was a willing and proud soldier for a genocidal apartheid state who has killed a double digit number of children in a fucking school, and bragged about it, for the sake of imperialism
Lies. Post proof that she bombed a school.
Thor> Thor 3, lel Ragnarok>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Thor 2 the dumb world
>fabricating reality this hard
Wow
please user don't! there's some good bros in this thread it's not worth it.
>Wonder Woman was advertised towards women but men still went to see and liked it
We're talking about children.
>Also i think that you're also pretty young if you really think that gendered marketing was actually some kind of brainwashing tactic to control opinions for decades.
It wasn't brainwashing but it was deliberate. Companies and marketers love categories and broken up demographics. The more specific a demographic they have the easier it is for them to cater to it and make money off of them.
> if I kill people who disagree with me, the problems will go away
See, the fact that you assumed i take part in the "debate" is the dumb thing. No good discussion can come out of a retarded picture like OP's
>The more specific a demographic they have the easier it is for them to cater to it and make money off of them.
Yes, that's called smart marketing and literally no one gets hurt by that.
And the demographics were already there to begin with, no one came along and arbitrary decided who gets to be a nerd or sportsfan, that's the individual's tastes.
>Taking a reaction image this seriously
Fucking embarassing, mate. Did you drift in from facebook or something?
Fuck off back to /pol/, asshole. Only Rightists and Fascists can gaslight.

>Thirteen years ago, I shared an apartment with Gal Gadot for two months in Milan, Italy. Several young girls lived there together, all under contract with the same modeling management company.
>Shortly after we met, Gal invited me to share space in her room.
>Gal’s roommate Tamar (not her real name) was going back home to Israel. Tamar was 15, and only spoke Hebrew.
>Tamar was about to leave for the airport. Her bags were packed. The expression on her face was vacant. Tears were in her eyes. It was clear she was in deep pain.
>Gal calmly told me that the girl had been raped at a club, and that the experience had put the girl in the hospital.
>Gal said the girl was stupid — for going to the wrong club, and for trusting the man who brought her there. I felt sorry for Tamar, but I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t realize that meeting her would foreshadow my future.
It gets worse from there.
>who was even mad at wonder woman?
I was because they chose Gal Gadot. Bitch has the acting talent of a brick and is supermodel tier sticc. I was expecting a huge 6'2" beefy warrior woman.
>it's fascist and racist to make mention of Gal Gadot's military career
Man, Yea Forums has really gone to shit lately.
Show me a single proof she ever fired a gun
She was just a secretary like 90% of women in the IDF
Gal's my waifu. Never speak ill about her again. She loves children.
>fascist and racist
more like tumblr-tier sjw lunacy, which fits with your unironic use of the buzzwords "gaslighting" and "brown kids" please go back there
>Nothing is allowed to breath, and every ghost looks so goofy.
The script was so thin its embarrassing.
>Yes, that's called smart marketing and literally no one gets hurt by that.
I didn't say that it hurt anyone. I'm just saying that the issue is gendered marketing by companies not the children who consumed media based on it and are just learning as adults that "Hey, I'm a guy but I can still like girl stuff."
>rightists
no one says that, you faglord
but it's not an issue
i never recall any toy company putting a gun to my head and telling me not to play with dolls
Holy shit I like Gal even more lol, please post more
When's the second film coming out?
Even if this was all true, where was Gal wrong? All it shows is that Gal's very traditional and a realist. Which isn't surprising given the fact she grew up in Israel.
next year I think
A staple of liberal minds. Heck they are already acting like they've been reading Carol Danvers comics since they were children.
I fucking wish she shot down sand dindu spawn by the bushel like in your leftist delusions.
>Gal had been in Milan for a few weeks. She said she would show me the ropes and who could be trusted. Her confident strength made me feel safe, protected, and loved in a way that I hadn’t felt before. Gal taught me to trust her. I was 18 and she was 19.
>Gal told me about men who followed models around to casting calls. They were paid by clubs to convince models like us to join them at these clubs in exchange for expensive food, drinks, publicity photos, and VIP treatment. Gal told me to never trust these men, because they rape.
>Gal’s previous roommate had been tricked by one of these men, and the underlying message was clear: trust Gal. I felt safe with Gal. I did not realize then how little I knew about rape, predators, and the culture that supports them.
>Gal and I spent most of our free time together. We shared food, clothes, and makeup. We went to the gym. We went shopping and tanning together. We went on photo shoots together. I made her a mix CD. I sang her to sleep. I watched her smoke constantly out of the window. We shared body insecurities, and she shared sex stories. She made sure to appear confident, knowledgeable, and successful — even then. She fed me information about Israel. Whenever she discussed Palestinians, she showed deep hatred.
>Gal set us up on dates with men who expected sex in exchange for the lavish meals they fed us, although we never slept with them. She would pick smaller men, and threaten them after dinner. They complained and she chased them off with more threats. She would laugh about it later. She used sex as a weapon.
No, user, it's not an issue at all. You seem to have this bizarre idea that gendered marketing is a wall, when actually it's just a path next to a whole bunch of other paths that you can crossover into any time you like. If a guy is interested in girl stuff, then he'll be interested in the things targeted at girls, and vice versa.
What sad excuse would read every Captain Marvel book, what its like her 12th reboot in the last five years?
How could the woke crowd say something about an event that happened in your own imagination?
Well Wonder Woman is thousands of years old so technically...
Those that really want a banner carrier into geek culture so they can invade it. Because all those other properties weren't enough to really push them through.
Wow so Gal is just a regular thot. So what?
Hold on, is this article blaming Gadot for not having sex with those men, as if they were entitled to it?
kek, is Gal Gadot /ourguy/? keep em coming this only gets better.
It's praising her for getting free lavish dinners from them.
>>Gal and I spent most of our free time together. We shared food, clothes, and makeup. We went to the gym. We went shopping and tanning together. We went on photo shoots together. This sounds like my yuri animus with Gal playing the role of the confident and predatory lesbian.
Wasn't that the point of the post... To point out how those other anons were acting like Tumblr. Ok, genius.
>Whenever she discussed Palestinians, she showed deep hatred.
>Benny on his way out getting caught jewing it up.
>Gadot is next PM of Israel.
Oh lordy. Wonder Woman gonna wreck shit would be a riot.
Saying that Gal Gadot didn't literally murder dozen of random children is acting like tumblr?
if this was like my futa animus this would be the part where Gal shows that she has big meaty cock and fucks the shit of her friend and make her Gal's bitch [/spoiler}\]
THE PLOT THICKENS...
>Several weeks into my stay, she took me to meet her Israeli friends including her best friend Ayala (also not her real name). Ayala and her boyfriend Yaniv seemed very close. He appeared to dote on her, and they seemed very much in love.
>Gal, Ayala, Yaniv and I went out each weekend, sometimes with other friends. The four of us quickly became a core group. We went to clubs to spend time in the spaces reserved for celebrities. Hidden behind the historic exteriors of Milan’s ancient architecture were sensory-overwhelming nightclubs, decked out like palaces. These places were teeming with swarms of people feeding off of manufactured prestige. I was a sheltered child from a small town, and was utterly unprepared for the dark side of the modeling and nightlife industries.
>A short time later, Gal and I spent a weekend at Yaniv and Ayala’s room inside another shared apartment. Gal and I shared a pull out couch while Yaniv and Ayala slept in their bed.
>The room was close and intimate. We spent the evening laughing, watching movies, smoking, and drinking. Yaniv commented on how I could not hold my alcohol, fully aware I had no experience getting drunk.
Not so much mad, but *everyone* thought Wonder Woman was going to tank. The previous DC movies had something to do with that, for sure, but it was also because Wonder Woman just doesn't have the same pull as a character as Batman or Superman.
You're probably aware of how successful Aquaman's made, right? And you're probably aware of what a joke Aquaman is among the general public. I don't think anyone expected the former in the face of the latter. Wonder Woman is the same way, except replace "joke" with "oh, yeah...I've heard of her."
The way you said that, yee
am i missing something here?
how come this comic keeps getting spammed
I seriously don't know if I should tell you to go back to /pol/, tumblr, or the mental hospital you've escaped
no u
>2 out of the 4 examples are dogshit
Well done
This is all about how Gal is a terrible person. This piece was released right before the WW movie release and ran though several clickbait articles.
>A week later, Ayala left for a modeling gig in Greece while Gal was in Ireland for a weekend shoot. Yaniv invited me out to dinner alone. Over dinner, we talked about our significant others, his travel around the world, and his time in the Israeli Defense Forces. I didn’t realize that his intentions were anything other than honorable. After dinner, his friend invited us to a new club.
>Yaniv asked if I had ever drank wine, knowing I had not. He bought me several drinks with dinner while telling me that I needed to try different varieties. It’s hard for me to remember what happened after that. I assume he drugged me.
>To this day, I have never been inebriated in that particular way, especially after only drinking wine. I was in and out of consciousness, and my body felt limp. I kept falling over. My brain felt like it was shutting down. Yaniv called his roommate >Ofir to help carry me home. I couldn’t walk. I was dead weight. I remember odd pieces, like him repeatedly asking me in a sick, almost playfully malicious tone of voice if I thought I was smart.
>I remember thinking that we were going home so that I would sleep on the couch, as Gal and I had before. I woke up in Yaniv’s bed, naked. He had removed my clothes when I was unconscious. I remember him climbing on top of me. I could just barely say “no”, and “this isn’t right”. Then I blacked out.
>I woke up again while he continued raping me. He was restraining my arms so I couldn’t move. It was violent. There was pain. I will never forget how he looked in that dark room. I will never forget the absolute panic I felt. It was terror. I thought he would kill me next. His rape was full of hate. He did not look at me.
>1 out of 4

>the 3rd example was widely beloved by normies, critics, and even internet nerds
>the 4th example was a niche cartoon that normies and critics ignored for reasons not related to feminism
I could beliwve this is how these people opperate.
>I woke up the next morning, groggy and delirious. I asked Yaniv what happened. I wanted to hear him say it.
>“We had sex,” he said, and shrugged. “I thought you knew.”
>“I told you no,” I said, quietly.
>“You told me no but your body told me yes,” he said. That line still haunts my mind, 13 years later.
>I couldn’t get out of his bed, even though I wanted to leave. I was physically sick; not only still intoxicated from the aftereffects of whatever I consumed, but also bruised, shocked, and traumatized. As I lay in his bed, I listened to Yaniv call a friend and brag about having sex with an 18 year old. His conquest; an accomplishment; a notch on his belt.
>He told me that no one could know, because Ayala would be too hurt. Soon, he began ignoring me.
>I was disoriented and traumatized. I had absolutely no context to process what had happened. I had no sex education, and certainly no understanding of predators or the culture that supports them. I had been taught a woman should be a virgin until marriage.
>I thought sex was about love. What I experienced from him was not love. It was hate and disgust. I didn’t have the language to call this rape. Rape was something to fear from strangers while walking alone down the street. Rape was not committed by a friend.
>I thought he was my friend.
>I was used, discarded, and alone.
>Almost alone. At least I had Gal, I thought. She came home two days later. She knew something had happened by looking at me. I wonder if I reminded her of her previously raped roommate.
Here's when Gal turns out to be the secret villain all along.
The only accurate panel is Ghostbusters as there’s no one around except the guy saying no one wants this
>Gal immediately began interrogating me. I could see no compassion in her eyes. I told Gal something had happened between Yaniv and I.
>She took me down to the basement. It was cold, mechanical, and frightening.
>We were alone. Then her anger exploded.
>She stood over me, intimidating and loud, blaming me for what happened. Her eyes were fire. I had already felt small and violated, but she shamed me into feeling obsolete. I felt extremely dirty. Already in shock, I disassociated from my body. I can’t remember most of her words. I remember being in utter terror of her anger.
>She was furious for Ayala and “what I had done to her”. Gal pointed her finger in my face like a weapon. She asked me how I could do this, and that I needed to make this up to Ayala. She made me feel ashamed, and that the whole event had been my fault, and that I had brought it upon myself by being so naïve.
>After that, I feared Gal. I spent nights out as long as I could hoping to avoid her.
>When I did see Gal, she would speak of nothing other than her conviction that I needed to speak with or write to Ayala. She would not let up. She was obsessed. There was absolutely no understanding from her. I don’t know how she could not have seen how the rape changed me. I was no longer the same person.
Gal was Yaniv wearing a mask, got it right
