Bart wasn't born in 2009, he was born 10 years ago. It's a subtle but important difference. In the early seasons Bart was born 10 years ago, which is why everyone was talking about M*A*S*H's final episode (February 1983) in the Flashback episode with Lisa (Lisa's First Word) and in 5 or 6 years or so they'll make refrences to How I met Your Mother ending in another flashback episode.
