This show deserves more than DC's shitty streaming service. If it were on Netflix it would get the treatment it deserves and a higher Budget.

You're not wrong, but DC wants its own cut of the pie and thats it.
What? DC, making dumb decisions?
Like, they're trying for some sort of long-term plan I guess where their stuff is in one corner, but Netflix is just doing it better, and so is Marvel.
Watch them make a Runaways series on Netflix and no one will remember what the fuck anyone was talking about.
There's nothing dumb about DC starting it's own streaming service because that's the direction the streaming business is heading. It makes no sense to leave their content on Netflix when 85% of the content people use Netflix for gets pulled to go on the original license holders' streaming services.
When WB releases it's streaming service, DC+ will be absorbed. That'll probably give it more exposure.
>Watch them make a Runaways series on Netflix and no one will remember what the fuck anyone was talking about.
Wasn't there already one in Hulu that recently released it's 2nd season?
>Runaways was so bad that user forgot that it existed
Kek
>There's nothing dumb about DC starting it's own streaming service
What's the point if no one except die hard fans will subscribe? You would think they would try at least to reach to normies.
Marvel wasn't dumb enough to create their own streaming service and release their MCU shows there, that's why they put them on Disney+.
The low budget adds to the charm
Because no one gives a shit about Hulu
REMINDER
No Marvel was dumb enough to give their characters to a rival service which fucked them all up apart from Daredevil. And through contracts and still holding rights to developed seasons has made those characters unusable for Marvel
but I just finished fapping
I wonder who can be behind this post
damn she hides them really well on the show
kill yourself ladderbro
Did it even got at least one thread here?
That reminds me, Daredevil and the Defenders not appearing for two years seems like an strategy to make people forget until they recast them for the MCU.
Why aren't there like galleries upon galleries of this woman? She's clearly got the goods but there are so few photo sets of her, and the paparazzi only ever seem to catch her in one piece swimsuits. Like what is going on
They won't be using those characters any time soon. I feel bad for Charlie Cox since it's highly unlikely he will be cast in the MCU now. Maybe DC can give him a role in Suicide Squad or something
She seems to be really modest
>Netflix capeshit
>higher budget
Dude, come on. How much do you think Marvel's capeshit had for a budget?
>If it were on Netflix
Titans is on Netflix outside of the US. I would wager this will get the same treatment down the line once it's done airing.
Precisely 200 million for the first five seasons, Punisher isn't counted.

>If it were on Netflix it would get the treatment it deserves
You and I both know that's bullshit. Look at what just happened to Umbrella Academy. They gave it a budget and promotion and you know what happened? They sucked all the charm and whimsy and made it into "Quirky Show for Normies #102". When you have more money invested in a project, you're going to have more hands on your project telling you what you can and can't do, what's more marketable and how it should be done. At least on the DC service and with the budget their working with, they don't have to concern themselves with making a show that's palatable to the mainstream. They know they're going for a niche audience and they're okay with that (they even joke about it in the show).
Netflix isn't some savior. They're a business and would chew up Doom Patrol and shit out yet another bland product for crowds to eat up. Doom Patrol is right where it needs to be.
I hate how companies are killing the entire point of streaming by trying to get their own streaming services up and running by pulling their licenses from the ones that people actually want to use.
That's what you guys for kill cable. It's your own fault
Frankly, after watching the horrendous Sharknado-tier CGI that Titans had, I wonder how shitty Doom Patrol's visual effects will be.
But I pirate everything
That's like barely 400k per episode when you divide that up by thirteen episodes across for five season. CW's The Flash has something like 3-4 million per episode in comparison.
No, 200/60 you get 3.33 which is about the same budget
I see where I fucked up. I meant first seasons only. I forgot DDs2 came out before Defenders which is only 8 episodes. 13x4+8=60
Oh right, duh, I did the division the wrong way around. But that's just more embarrassing, given how CW can still do full CGI King Shark and Gorilla Grodd episodes but fucking Iron Fist of all things can't even get a CGI dragon. Or how Jessica Jones' powers are nearly entirely depicted as her just breaking locks, where as the Flash can have people running on walls.
If you don't understand the point, then be glad you don't work in television.
Remember when Jessica Jones tried super speed? I'm not surprised the budget is so small
>flies
>it's a George Reeves jump off screen
I didn't say they had a good budget, was just that it was 200 mill
since when is cyborg on the doom patrol?
I basically only know her as the trashy thot from Orange is the New Black
The whole point in the show is that he's not part of the team. It's nice because he's the light in the dark and the only one having fun despite having major problems of his own
>that amazing speech about using his mom's death as motivation
>his dad says it verbatum showing that he's actually using his wife's death to guilt trip his son into achieving his own selfish goals
>If it were on Netflix it would get the treatment it deserves
Which means what, more people watching?
>If it were on Netflix it would get the treatment it deserves and a higher Budget.
Oh yeah. I remember marvel shows with a higher budget and comic accurate costumes.
That's the risk, and they took it.
Am I crazy or does Doom Patrol have a crazy good budget?
You're crazy. They just do well with what they have
This show deserves nothing after they pulled this stunt.
Patrick Warburton for Flex Mentallo!
>Fles, flexing "Hero of the Beach!"
>Subtitles: Hero of the Beach!
Hey they cut his face so he looks like he does in the comic, that's cool.
He looks nothing like he does in the comic.
What? Draw a line down his face, it matches the hook face from the comic.
Well you just have obscenely high standards.
Maybe if you got of that high horse of yours you 'd enjoy this show.
Be more than a reddit troll with a DC subscription.
Gamble a Stamp
He's not supposed to have a human face or weird Tron lines.
If they had translated Cliff to live action this poorly you'd all be just as mad as I am. They put more love into Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man than this.
Holy shit, you should be happy they made him even slightly resemble what he looks like in the comic. It'd be impossible to do what you want.
Roger Rabbit.
Well with Nobody you could say "There was an attempt.".
And even if it isn't fully accurate to the comics, you can see why they went with it.
Believe it or not they don't have a limitless budget to make every single visual perfect. A green suit is far cheaper than having someone animate him on-screen. Don't get me wrong, Mr. Nobody animated would've been perfect, but it's not like this is even close to the worst design choice we've seen in comic adaptations.
>I can't enjoy the entire show because he's not a cartoon character running around
I'm literally autistic and even I'm not this autistic
It's not the worst, but they picked the worst character to do it to as far as I'm concerned. They could have still easily edited his face out of the thing.
It's shocking how many people don't agree with you.
I agree.
Sidenote: given how Flex originated, I want him to look like a CGI rendition of a muscleman with a digital reconstruction of Warburtons face.
No, then we'd be reaching Uncanny Valley with the big cartoon eyes plastered on.
To clarify, I agree that it's shocking how many people don't agree with me. It's a very disappointing design to me. I don't see how it's any less bad than if Cliff had his human face intact, or Negative Man didn't have his bandages.
That would be in line with everything Mr. Nobody is about.
where the fuck are my goddamned scissormen
Because they got literally everything else right. One character not looking right is a small price to pay, but for you it's ruined the whole show.
As is upsetting people who don't want his current design. Very in-line with his character, and all the more reason the person complaining about it should really learn to just relax, chill out and read a comic or something.
>nb4 Larry isn't supposed tp be gay
The one character they got wrong is my favorite character, though. That makes all the difference.
I'll give you that.
And I got Rick Jones namedrop in The Incredible Hulk and haven't gotten him in the eleven years since. In fact, given the current state of the MCU I hope he never appears at this point. The fact that DC is pushing out such a fantastic show with all the absolute shit coming out of themselves and Marvel I thank god that I can enjoy something cape related for once in a blue moon
I'll forgive them if they adapt The Painting that Ate Paris.
On the list of "things that should be adapted from the comics." this, the Brotherhood of Dada and Flex Mentallo rank pretty highly.
Also with the Brothehood, it should be made from both iterations of the group, with Bobby and Other Malcolm played by the actors behind the Winchester Brothers.
Agreed. Wasn't Flex confirmed? There was an audition video in a thread here.
That's as confirmed as we have. Not a definitive thing though
I honestly don't know myself.
I tried reading the Flex Mentello miniseries a while back and it made so little sense to me that I gave up after the second issue. Am I just stupid? I couldn't piece together any coherence in what it was showing me outside of the panels Flex himself was in.
>higher Budget.
Then why do all of Marvel capeshit series except for Daredevil look cheap and uninspired?
I'm confused how the meme "Netflix = quality and budget" came about
Or, possibly, changed his memories to fit with programming that he has envisioned. Making Silas Stone shady givea Cyborg more interesting stuff to do.
The choice was Tudyk acting vs Tudyk voicing a cgi model
More like you butt pirate everything, fag.
I mean, the dude primarily does voice work, and he's very good at it
>Am I just stupid?
You need to start reading novels and more challenging stuff if it seems incomprehensible to you and get your reading comprehension to a new level.
Probably due to House of Cards looking so good in its original season.
That whole thing sure came down like a...
>Netflix
>high budget
