The MPAA cannot force anyone to do anything. Reting is voluntary and, if they wanted to, Disney could very well release Endgame unrated and most theatres would show it anyway. However, since rating is actually a useful indicator of the target audience, this would not benefit them in any way (unlike the earlier break from the Comics' Authority, which was much more stingy with their approval), therefore it is just not happening.

That said, Marvel Studios (before being acquired by Disney) decided to make implicit, instead of its focus, that alcoholism was a big part of Tony's problems leading to Iron Man 2. That was never an angle they were willing to approach openly, leaving it transparent to kids and obvious for the older demograph.

You also fail to cite any source to these so-called "news" or any reason for the outrage we should be feeling, considering Iron Man is only one of the many characters in the film and any extra focus given to his arc will detract from the development of the others', in who many of us are more interested.

The last sentence in the OP, however, makes it abundantly clear what we are really dealing with here. It is just a minor /pol/ infection. Apply sage consistently and it will be gone in a couple of days.

MPAA is a government organization. They can absolutely force them to not release domestically, which has the highest profit ratio of any territory. Please educate yourself before posting.
