At no point there as a "mob" because for that to happen, it would have been public, and directly against him. I don't think you should judge the severity of an action based on the lack of consequences. He still went and posted full addresses for the stores that weren't gonna stock his book, as if THAT was a good strategy to get other stores to do it. Think about it for a second: a retailer who happens to see his tweets about how all the mean retailers don't want Jawbreakers isn't gonna feel compelled to do it. Meyer had a large follower base that received those messages, there was a responsibility to carry there.

this the problem with comics is how close the pros and indies are with the comic news sites.
DC told EVS to delete his youtube, he refused as it was the only way to defend himself without having to rely on comic sites that wrote the hit pieces on him.
Gaiman said he thinks Dnc and EVS are wrong, when people told him not to read bs he said he read 4 different articles!
but all the articles are biased
since then EVS and Meyer helped boost right leaning comic book sites so even if they left the pros still have to deal with comic sites that don't blindly support them and will document their spergings.
