Only after extensive breeding can you have a race of dog which exhibits constant genetic traits from one generation to the next. And that's the problem with humans in this regard, you can't "make" a new race in its own right. Mulattos for example do not have mulatto children if they decide to marry exclusively black partners, for example. At some point, the offspring will simply be black. Until the progeny shows consistent, replicable, and predictable characteristics with each generation, it is not purebred.

That is why the artist who made this comic is much akin to a pug. A bad idea from the start, and if she ever has children (highly unlikely as it is with her being a lesbian) the child would likely much more asian or much more black depending on her partner. As someone who is mixed, if you grow up in a diverse community, you do hear people act surprised that you don't know how to do X despite the fact that you look like one race; or that you do know how to do Y. It's rarely meant to be negative, more incredulous or surprised than anything, but it can leave you with a feeling that you're different from the norm or that you're missing out on some key aspect of what should be part of your identity.

This comic also didn't seem to be about self-victimization or whining, just a relation of experiences. Sharing experiences is what we as humans do, and I think you're only classifying it as being "whiny" because it's about race and you might be tired of hearing about that topic in today's climate, so you're painting it with a negative brush rather than actually looking at what this person is trying to say.

What's funny is that you're telling this person to get on with their life, which is what this is helping them to do. Some people do, though not everyone. A lot of times, people who are isolated, lonely or have low self-esteem/self-worth tend to cling very hard to things like race, gender, sexuality, etc. If you live in a community that's not welcoming to your identity, that can be exacerbated.

What Kiana is getting at about this is that sometimes mixed people tend to feel isolated since American society hinges a lot on what racial group you're in, and if you're viewed as an outsider by both identities, it's a pretty lonely thing in some regards. "Most hated" is not the same thing as "what one considers the definitive worst". I think one is more inclined to "hate" a mediocre product that gets rave reviews rather than a slightly worse mediocre product that flops. In the opposite way I think one would be more forgiving when judging a product that flopped and might examine it closer if it finds miraculous success. I don't think there's anything necessarily contrarian going on with these opinions.

I don't think that there's anything really abnormal with people examining their gender as they are exposed to the idea (through those around them) that gender conformity isn't mandatory, and it feels right to someone to be called they I don't think there's anything really horrific going on.

But now it's been used so often, it doesn't actually matter when having conversations with people and only English teachers or someone trying to get something published might care.

Examples:

"Is that Cindy on the phone? Tell them I'm not here."
"I found Jimmy's red ball in the backyard. I'll bring it over to them right away."

These are all sentences that you would understand and probably wouldn't question when you heard it, but again, if you write it like that in an English class, your teacher is going to correct you because it's considered informal/incorrect.

I was reading this argument and I have an alternative take.
I dont think the genderfuild crowd are faking anything, I think they put far to much weight into group identity, conflate that with there personal identity, and are suffering from a very close minded and sexist perspective in an ironic effort to get away from sexism.
The biggest problem with the pronoun crowd is that they think people use pronouns as a sign of respect or that anyone cares what you personally identify as.
My only solution with these people is to embrace my NJ roots and refer to everyone as “you” and point.

But, as is with the case of depression, analyzing the person's life and environment can also give you insight as to whether or not it's chronic depression, sadness, or self-imposed. And someone who recently lost their dad might be depressed, but because of recent events, not all the time.
