To be fair: hundreds of other planets got away with attempting to conquer, destroy, experiment, colonize and breed with Earth. Some even succeeded to an extent. Others are still living on Earth; waiting for a chance to take it over. In fact, the Avengers and the X-Men were created thanks to extraterrestrial meddling.
Ultron is 100% Pym's fault, but no Earth government told him to create a robot. Meanwhile, alien invasions of Earth are usually supported by their own planetary government.

There are still the aliens from the early Kirby comics. Plus the Kree as a species were perfectly fine until they actually got fucked in Black Vortex.
In fact, most of these invading civilizations got away with screwing away with earth. They might get fucked if some hero on earth wants vengeance from an invasion; but for the most part, their civilization is fine, and the most any intergalactic government will do is give them a slap on the wrist.
Meanwhile, those same intergalactic government want to destroy and/or punish the entire Earth for the actions of a single group of individuals instead of just arresting said group.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a massive cosmic comic setting where everything is actually mostly quiet and the superheroes mainly do interstellar hostage rescues and deal with moon bank robberies and stuff like that.
