...Does this happen often?
>villain disposes and makes an example out of a failure of an underling
>misogynist man meets misandrist woman
>they fall for each other
This is the only example I can think of.
youtube.com
>joke/obviously shallow and petty character
>consistently denys the existance of any of the main characters shenanigans, if they're not normal
>turns out to be one of the main reasons behind them, and one of the most lore heavy characters in regards to wierd shenanigans
This was damn good in both Gravity Falls and Skulduggery Pleasant
>You my friend, are a man of culture
>tropes
It will that, user. Have fun not going to Heaven.
I fucking hate this shit. It's completely played out. It's just a cheap excuse to show you that the villain is EEEEEEEEEEEVIL and that you shouldn't have any sympathy for them.
That’s garbage though. It just makes the villian look like a bumbling fuckwit who can’t properly lead or preserve his resources.
>Character from another universe or time period learns how to fit in with our modern society
It usually shows off the villains powerset and that they have the bite to back up their bark.
Also I like the idea that the villain has underlings not because they were hired, no the villain does not need them. They willingly go into servitude just so that they would be on villain's good graces in order to avoid being a casualty in their path of destruction.
>antagonist helps protagonist to spite another antagonist then goes back to being an antagonist
>no morals mentor is challenged to become a better person by good natured student
>person dedicates their life to a cause learns that cause is terrible and then fights against it
Didn't something like that happened in China IL?
>good guy runs into one of the bad guy's lackeys
>"im off duty, go ahead, i dont give a shit"
A single Simpsons gag isn't a trope.
Are you trying to steal Rolf's soul with your film box?
Ed Edd n Eddy did it too
pretty sure he says pill box
men in black animated series did it too
>the Chaotic Evil villain isn't some eldritch entity or mindless killing machine, it's just a sociopath
bluepilled, yet based.
>hero is constantly doing worse things than the villain
not Yea Forums but happen in valkyria chronicles 3
>the supposedly primitive natives are more tech savvy than the first world tourist expects
any examples of this
>Hero is actually more evil than the villian. Hero is scummy and an asshole and only does good things for profit.
Kazuma I love you so much!
Why are wanderfags do autistic
>Characters have a conversation through a one-way medium like a speaker or television
>Extra points if it's pre-recorded
>Secret Bonus points if it's themselves
Not Yea Forums but I vaguely recall Angel having an old school vampire/demon freak out when they had a picture of themselves taken.
>henchmen are scared shitless of the hero
