This thing is seriously hilarious. The entire comic is just two girls being bitches to each other. Marvel needs to reboot this shit NOW.
Every other page lists who sent in the design for their outfits, it's all just so great.
Definitely recommend taking a look at it.

The fact that they ever turned Patsy into a super hero stunk. They had so many of those already.
Agree. We need more Marvel Bitches.
god these women are bitches
So the joke seems like their dates both turned out to be faggots, but I thought the gays hadn't been invented yet.
Holy shit, this is just Panty and Stocking.
If nothing else the 34 would be truly outstanding.
>god these women are bitches
Isn't it great? And I had no idea that Hedy was Hellcat. She's a nice character but is right, some slice-of-life involving two catty hos is the superior way to go.
Two Catty Bitches is exactly what Marvel needs to revitalize their brand.
What a waist
Back then women knew they had to squeeze their uterus and kidneys together to get a good man.
Hedy should be Hellcat's Joker, except only in her non-hero life.
They essentially already have that dynamic. But yeah, it would be like an inverse of the Spider-Man/Peter Parker dynamic. Instead of her being a heroine fucking up her civilian life, her civilian life is fucking up super life.
Old "fashion comics" are the most underrated thing. Marvel did a "modernized version" of these in the 80s called "Misty", which is legit one of the most 80s things ever made and just utterly fantastic in general.
When did Marvel turn her into Hellcat? It's weird they try and keep her romance origins the same with it
What's really weird about it is that her romance comics started in 1944, so she should have roughly the same birth year as Captain America.
A lot of her pre-Hellcat stuff shows obvious influence from Archie, and one of her early artists, Al Hartley, would later go on to work at Archie Comics. By the time she became Hellcat in the 70's most Archie ripoffs were dead or on the way out, so it might have just been Marvel trying to keep the character alive the only way they knew how.
Marvel is incapable of doing anything other than capeshit nowadays, outside of a couple of Ennis war comics.
It's hilarious how they fit these characters into the Greater Marvel Universe.
It's sort of the opposite of what happened with Archie, where a small side series became wildly more popular than MLJ's superheroes and wound up becoming the face of the company. Years later they would try to make those heroes fit into the same universe as the Riverdale crew.
Englehart is why.
Englehart wanted a love interest for Beast in his solo strip and decided to use Patsy, since her solo book had been canceled by that point, since Jean and Lorna were not usable and no one gave a fuck about Vera.
When Beast's solo strip was canceled and his character folded into Avengers, Patsy came with him.
Also, Englehart turned Buzz into a PTSD spousal abuser who was willing to enslave humanity for Roxxan and then turned into a half-man, half-rabies infected wildcat creature in order to kill Patsy when she started dating Son of Satan.
Ugh, everyone knows that Beast belongs with Nightcrawler uwu.
How so?
Wait... was Hedy raped on a yacht by rich people? Or am I reading too much into this?
You know, her last comic did kind of de-emphasize the superhero stuff in favor of a slice-of-life-adjacent approach and you guys all hated it.
They both received a telegram saying they want one of them to model some clothes on television. They could only take one, but the other would get an entire spring catalog of clothes as consolation.
Patsy couldn't get the money to go to the yacht, and Hedy could, so Hedy went. Then it turns out that the television program was closed circuit, so she paid all that money in return for none of the fame she thought she would get, while Patsy paid nothing and got a lot of clothes.
Good. Hedy's a bitch!
Patsy is also a bitch, but her name is first on the cover, so I like her!
>Panty and Stocking
>Kei and Yuri
>Patsy and Hedy
we just love watching bitches bitch each other
I kinda wish they had either done more, or less, wtih the superhero stuff. It didn't help that the art was super rushed, and not as good as the artist tends to put out. Like I think the "temp agency for powered people" thing needed to be focused on more, with some more weird odd jobs and such. I only read a few issues, didn't her two weird ex-husbands really only show up once? It was weird that they even gave the book a Civil War 2 tie-in, just so Patsy can see She-Hulk in the hospital, and replace her with Jubilee.
Could be because the art was ugly as all hell and the writing was spotty at best.
shh user the answer is sexism and toxic masculinity
>no Beast road trip maxiseries
it was funny and used Jubilee, I loved it
...
You don't have to turn the character into a womanchild to do slice of life.
