Perhaps the most spectacular bit is that it was intended as a transmedia operation in conjunction with the then-upcoming Wakfu MMO, except the MMo actually came out 4 years after the series' first episode, so meanwhile they had to hastily retool the whole thing to vaguely sync with Dofus instead, another MMO which takes place in the same world but 1000 years prior. That transmedia thing is the reason they'd dumped so much money on the first two seasons, and it incurred them big losses despite the series being a success. And then for S2 they made a toyline except the toyline came out too late to sync with S2's french airing and too early for the english dub (also the toyline was kinda crappy), so once again the whole thing was a bust. Combined with a number of other cancelled Ankama projects this is why S3 had to be kickstarted instead, only features half the episode count and is overall a step down from the first two despite them having tons of money back when they started making S1.

The Dofus era started about 1000 years ago. The Dofus era ended about a couple hundred years before it shifted to the Wakfu era. There's not a 100 year gap between the two.

Completely different teams

Two card games. Wakfu TCG, which Ankama thought would be their second main source of income after the Dofus MMO, was ultimately a failure and folded in 2011. Krosmaga, the digital one, hasn't had a real update in months and an Ankama employee asked about it at Paris Games Week (a french game convention) said the game was for all practical purposes dead due to lack of players and they're focusing on Waven now.

I can't understand how Ankama keep consistently fucking up. Literally all Krosmaga needed was a more f2p friendly model.
The gameplay was the most fun I had in any digital card game, and the game was really visually appealing.
So sick and tired of them throwing away so much potential.

I just finished this show today. All 3 seasons of it.
What the actual fuck was that ending.

I watched the OVA that was set between S2 and S3 and Dofus.
The OVA where ok and Dofus was great.
The show is dead now, right?

That's a retcon, established when they realized there was no way they could get the Wakfu MMO out in time for even S2, so they could more easily put Wakfu stuff in the Dofus game.

Pretty much, you missed out on the Nox and Ogrest OVA though which are great. Also if you haven't watch the Dofus movie.

So I found out about wakfu from Yea Forums and watched all of season one like I was 12 again, then my assholes neighbor cut me from his internet. I recently got it back after 3 years without it and saw wakfu was a title on netflix. Wow.

finnaly after years i rewatched season 1, 2 and ovas
then i watched season 3 for the first time
i feel empty inside, i need more
it's time to rewatch dofus i guess

i got whole first season in polish and almost half of all Dofus episodes in polish
but after a while i found anons bluray rips so everything is gone and i cannot find my polish dubs anywhere for fuck sake

he's not eternally young, you could see he was growing into teenagers after doing like 20 steps in time-trap in season 3
if consider each step in trap took around 25 years or something then he would need to wait around 500 years just to make sure people would not call Amelia shotacon

dude looked like he was starting to go into his early 20s towards the end of those steps, which i'd still call eternally young

well it's not like he will age in season 4 if it will even happen
i wanted him to be in good relationship with Amalia but season 3 almost ruined it

I don't generally care about the relationship drama between the midget and the plant thot
the relationship highlight for the season (to me) was Ruel and his wife. I thought the two of them were kinda cute together in an elderly couple kinda way
