Not OP but I did a free trial of VRV just for Lastman. Apparently there are two English dubs: The Blu-Ray, which is terrible and was made to meet deadlines that Mondo Media couldn't meet for the physical release, and the Mondo dub, which is on VRV and is FANTASTIC. As soon as I saw it was directed by Michael Sinterniklaas (who plays Dean Venture and is one of my favorite voice actors) I knew it'd be solid, and it didn't disappoint.

Tl;dr if you're going to watch it dubbed make sure it's the Mondo dub.

If memory serves, the storytimer (who totally wasn't the translator) said to expect ~3-4 months untill v8, which should be around now-ish. Personally I wouldn't expect anything before June/July at the earliest.
The guy using a shitty SD imgur rip for a raw, instead of the HD rips that were readily available, doesn't bode well either.

I will love you in the gayest possible way that still leaves wiggle room for a "n-no homo" if that happens. I'm counting on the official subs being part of that rip. The drunksubs are... well... drunksubs, and the VRV rip only has the dub which sucks ass, as far as I know.

If I'm not completely wrong, one of the old guys on the Mangastream team was involved in some of the Freaks Squeele scanlations (think it was Funerailles). Possibly Prostyle, Plumjuice, Dzydzydino or some guy with a handle I swear that starts with Q. Shooting them a mail might yield a result.

In the same vein, Metric System Scanlation and Baguette Scans did the Freaks Squeele scanlations. You could try to look for some way to contact them. As far as I know, MSS got a C&D which is why he dropped the series so don't expect to find anything there, but the other one might be viable.

Come to think of it, scratch the Q handle. I'm fairly certain it was Kravmaga.

The VRV rip came out really fast, and it's ~400 MB 1080p mp4 files so I'm fairly certain they're not dual audio and if they are, I doubt they have the Mondo dub. But I'm grabbing now to verify.

As for raws, there is an italian rip of 8, but I can't for the life of me remember if danke also ripped it in french or not. He loves the series and will be happy to provide digital raws if asked, but I guess a scan will do for this.

As the puritanical faggot I am, I usually prefer subs so I'll put this on hold for a while, while hoping the rips happens eventually.

If user wants to go above and beyond, and has the knowhow obviously, the Mondo aurio could be muxed into the BD rip if they didn't add it into later printings already.

Do you have premium vrv? Maybe thats why it doesn't show. I will do research and try my hand at putting the subs and dubs and stuff.

There really is no need to make this more convoluted than it has to be.
If you want to translate a tome, that cool. If you don't want to typeset, that's fine as well. Just post the script in a franco-belgian thread, or the win-o. If you want to be credited in some way, then you should add that as well. Then I, and probably others as well, will save it until someone volunteers for typesetting and HD raw has been obtained.

Personally, I don't give any fucks about credits, I just like helping projects like these with proofreading.
