I don't care about bad CGI cause it makes her blue, and while she blue i am happy. "Apocalypse" Mystique was just Katniss Everdeen and that was real shit.

I just hope that Mystique in the new Marvel Studios X-Men films will just be a minor villain. She's had WAY too much focus in the Fox films, as if it wasn't bad enough that Magneto, Xavier and Wolverine were eating up everyone else's screentime too.
Also, don't make her naked and scaly like that, it's a real turn-off. Her comic book look is way sexier.

Because they did it in the other movies first. Same reason little baby crawler has the "Angellic symbols" scars. Despite the fact that he only has them in the original because he did them working for Stryker. Which I'd assume he wasn't done yet at this point.

Why did those movies have it? Because it covers up mystique's naked tits and vagoo and the texture makes it feel less fake spray painty. I think the way they used the the scale like pattern in the shape shifting was nice. It's also the character designers/make up artists showing off.
