More american cartoons needs tits and ass, Specially on today's cucked world.
In other words I fapped to it.

I liked the Loc-Nar. He's a grade A bastard.

I dont know about you fags, but I came. Good enough for me.

OP here. Anyone seen the sequel/spinoff?

Yeah it's....ennnnnnh. Perhaps a little underrated by its harsher critics, but also very hard to defend.

once giant music video and that's a good thing

I read the comic, was weird how they made that guy travel with her where in the comics he is almost instantly killed.

>soundtrack was based
>first story was pretty cool
>major boobage

That being said the last two stories sucked and overall it was pretty lame. I watched it as an adult though. I'm sure if I saw it on VHS as a kid back in the '80s I would have loved the fuck out of it.

>it's... full of stars...

>none of it makes any sense
>hanover fiste part is entertaining
>bomber scene is cool, but way too short
>naked warrior chick is surprisingly lame, doesn't even kick that much ass

They made an animated movie about a buff warrior woman that takes off her clothes and murders people and somehow made it boring.

Absolute fucking kino.
This and Fire and Ice are my shit.

It's a anthology. And even at that it cheats since the unifying theme is artificially shoehorned in. Some stories are better, some worse. In my opinion it's still good overall.

It's fun and worthwhile. Would've been better and more timeless if they didn't make it so pulpy and campy, but then again, their goal was to be pulpy and campy, so they certainly succeeded at the movie's purpose.

some really bad cgi in there.

I remember learning that the creator made a longer adventure with Captain Sternn, and I was pumped to see more of that sleazy bastard.

It's so weird that he turned Sternn into a totally hokey good guy with a heart of gold who goes on an environmentally-friendly adventure to stop a generic evil executive. I guess some people get an inspired idea but have a hard time living up to that standard.

I love every part of it except Taarna's segment. Unstoppable super bitch waifu cheesecake denied me that sweet elusive BAD END, after the entire rest of the movie teased me with it. Kid me was tired of the hero always winning at the end all the damn time. Most of Heavy Metal was a refreshing subversion of my expectations and here comes Deus Ex Fapbait to steal defeat from the jaws of victory and kill the Loc-Nar. At least Sternn got away.

But yeah I liked it a lot when I was like, nine. It speaks volumes that I remember specific parts of it even when I haven't seen it in roughly two decades.

wow i was just seeing that movie, talk about hive mind

>unstoppable
Yo, nigger, did you miss that part where she kicks the bucket and the girl takes up her mantle?

I saw this movie when I was 11. I was far to young for it, but it did awaken my sexuality.

I wanted to be Taarna.

Speaking of that, I think even her weird pteranodon thing makes it at the end somehow, despite dying earlier? I'm pretty sure that happened.

Point being I wanted Loc-Nar to win in the end, like the earlier segments. Heavy Metal was a nice change of pace but returned to the typical good prevails story structure at the last minute.

They didn't "survive", they were reincarnated, the guardian and steed always exist to oppose the Loc-Nar. So that also implies that the Loc-Nar is only defeated for a time and will come back. As it does in HM2 just to get Kars'd.

Has anybody read the Taarna mini series?

I like it as a novelty, and 1 or 2 shorts unironically
and the soundtrack is amazing
youtube.com/watch?v=monoU2a8_Mg

but overall its not very good from an objective standpoint

>Big boobs
>Skimpy armor
>Alien pterodactyl pet
>Swordfighter
>Dosn't talk

Whats not to like?

This might as well have been a Saturday morning cartoon for how bland they made it compared to the comic. It barely looks any better than Mortal Kombat.

Hey now, let's not go that far. Mortal Kombat Time was a fucking travesty. HM2 was competently animated, it just had uninspired designs and a shitty story.

The problem with HM2K is that it has less violence and nudity than the first HM and that came out in 1981.

#4? I've got 1-3.

I vaguely recall being disappointed with it.

I absolutely love that movie. youtube.com/watch?v=NQE1Q1NILfQ

I seen that one too.

Fucking amazing.

Yes, and I can say that the original is the best one.

It's not a good movie, but it is an interesting one
Great soundtrack too

We need more cartoon cheesecake fantasy in this world.

I don't think it's as bad as people say it is, but it is forgettable.

Great movie i remember watching it quite a few times as a kid, its really cool seeing all the different animation/art styles.
My only complaint with it is that stern didn't get ripped into tiny little pieces and buried alive

i remember it being really meh compared to the first one.

>I remember learning that the creator made a longer adventure with Captain Sternn, and I was pumped to see more of that sleazy bastard.
Didn't the comics come up BEFORE the movie was made?

THE FIEND!!!!

Yeah, Captain Sternn debuted in the comics in 1980

Attached: 005.jpg (1154x1600, 557K)

It was a vanity piece for Julie Strain paid for by her husband Kevin Eastman.

Now Strain is dying of Alzheimers which is terrible since she isn't that old.

The nerdy dude who get reborn as a badass was my favorite. My second favorite was the segment with the large breasted woman saving the day from evil monsters. That one also had Devo playing in the bar scene, that was really cool.

Heavy Metal made me question how androids get circumcised

issue 4 never ever

I liked the isekai segment

Attached: den.jpg (1024x528, 48K)

The West invented that shit. Which is why it seems absolutely retarded that with today's isekai boom, not a single studio is rebooting or adapting any isekai stories.

I love this villain.

>I've got an angle

Less tits and ass, more Ultraviolence. You can’t beat straight up porn in a lewd contest so don’t waste time trying.
