Also, I want to get started in animation using Krita [spoilers] or Clip Studio Paint [/spoilers], but I don't know the set up and best tutorial to do, draw, and make animation effectively on Krita [spoilers] and CSP [/spoilers] in 2019.
It's truly amazing how far blender has gone so far. I use the program daily, now i have been trying their new Grease Pencil. I fully recommend blender for 3D and 2D projects. Shocking that it's all even free.
Luis Fisher
The irony part is I'm good with that program, but too burn out from 3D modelling, so I want to get started on 2D animations involving Krita.
And the things is, one of my certain struggling to draw is how keyframes work and how it doesn't register the drawing each by each automatically.
This is a good gif to break down and learn from, whether animating or just drawing a comic. If the animator had used a rigged model, or maintained realistic proportions, or constructed the body from the bones up, it couldn't have worked so well. Instead, he puts the hands where he wants them first, and the arms follow from that. And he draws the mouth and eyes how he wants them, and the rest of the head follows from that. It's construction in reverse. But it gives the best cartoony distortion that looks natural.
Everything is very well-drawn but the timing is completely evened out
Sebastian Young
What do you mean?
Jose Jackson
While every drawing by itself may be technically perfect, the collection of drawings one after the other move in a pace that is timed badly. Momentum is lost, the feeling of weight and motion is stilted.
>When 2D successfully imitates 3D I still cannot believe this was made in the 40s. Did Dreamworks/Pixar base all of their 3D faces on this specific character?
Adam Myers
>I still cannot believe this was made in the 40s wait what
That's cause it wasn't, you dipshit. That's from Fantasia 2000.
Christopher Lopez
The evened-out-timing pendulum and the evened-out bouncing ball have been a standard way to demonstrate timing to animation students for decades.
I think I need to congratulate you, though, 'cause whenever I get into a discussion about anime animation and I mention that anime timing sucks and post that webm, the weebs never make the connection.
