8 reasons that spider-verse is a masterpiece and must see
>1. High Ratings and not only the Academy Awards. >2. The Spider-Men are attractive, I am in love with the cute Peni Parker. >3. The Quality is amazing, the texture is like the comic books. >4. The people who made the Lego Movie. >5. The Japanese dubbed version is the best! Aoi Yuuki is amazing. >6. I wanted to watch it multiple times. It was funny, I cried with laughter. >7. The story is amazing and the love of comics is evident. >8. Steve Ditko and Stan Lee, thank you.
New fan art coming in around ~8 days when the movie releases fully
There's one thing that's been really bugging me. How did Gwen get to Brooklyn to meet Miles, when the collider scene didn't take place until after they met? Was there another collider test before-hand?
Liam Perez
aside from the fact she mentioned traveling "to last week"? she literally arrived in the city a week BEFORE the collider event because spacetime
Dominic Kelly
Ah, I somehow missed that. Thanks!
Leo Cook
>first 9 minutes are up on Sony's YouTube channel >check it out haven't seen it yet and can't be assed to download it >start enjoying it >Miles doesn't seem so bad... >get introduced to Gwen >I-I TOTALLY DIDN'T LAUGH AT YOUR LAME JOKE, B-BAKA Fucking christ. They really couldn't help themselves, could they? She didn't even have a minute's worth of screentime and they already shipped them. FUCK.
spider-verse still isn't as good as 2 though it had its moments but was to unfocused and dependent on references
Logan Wood
Once you hate something, you never stop hating it.
There are some people who still hates Kyle rayner.
Justin Brooks
Yeah but it's a strong second place
Cameron Long
Yeah I'm so jealous of waifufags.
Alexander Stewart
I'm going to re-watch the first raimi film and get back to you, I suspect that spider-verse is better but spider-man 1 is so campy and unapologetic about it I can't help but have fond memories. It even has that old movie feeling with its horribly aged CGI fights but also has a few solid action scenes
Ryder Nguyen
>no one has edited this to be peter holding miles yet actually surprised
The only part that aged poorly is the scene where Norman kills those people at the parade. Other than that the movie is amazing, especially the end. >I had a father, his name was Ben Parker But Spider-Verse understands what makes Spider-Man a great character and pays homage to it in the best way
Lincoln Howard
OMG, that's great. Explains quite a bit.
Cooper Rivera
Because of everything he stands for, we don't get to get new IPs made with love a creativity or unique interactions and character growth we just get the same shit with a new coat of paint, Miles only exists because his creator fetishizes black people, he only gets the push he does because of the franchise he was stapled onto, he is the opposite of a creative endeavor just a finely sculpted marketing tool made to be whatever niche the work needs him to fit he's not a character just a vacuum of potential. The movie being fine will never change these facts
Nathan Phillips
Glad they didn't use it, I dont want more naked males on cartoons, Give me some female butts for once.
Josiah Watson
Except it will. None of the kids watching this are going to remember that shit comic, or even the Ultimate Universe and it's utter failure. No, they'll remember that sweet ass spider-man movie they saw and that Miles kid is a cool spiderman. That Bendis guy? Must have been cool too, his comic did get made into that great movie after all. And none of them will actually read it so they'll never think otherwise.
This movie will wash away Bendis' sins for a whole generation. It's not just, but it is certain.
No one will know Bendis had a hand in this. When Jessica Jones came out no one knew who Bendis was.
Levi Smith
It the band in the japanese ad the same one that did Psychopass's season 2 OP?
Cameron Diaz
A new Christmas album
Adrian Moore
hang rapists and pedophiles
Jordan Brown
can't wait to download the jap dub
Eli Turner
yes, few of them will actually know this unless they read the credits. But the point is that Miles himself is redeemed now.
Christopher Powell
we'll see the movie and the game were both relatively equal in terms of success and both had Miles as vastly different characters. In spider-verse he was a misunderstood kid trying to find his own way and PS4 had him as kind of an every nerd kid hoping to live up to his fathers memory. Pete was prettty similar in both just showing the same guy at different points in his life (though I don't like the RIPeter being batman but since it took the whole of NYC, including his own wife. 2 days to forget him I assume they didn't either)
No, Miles is shown that he had potential. That in the hands of an actually talented writer and team the character can be interesting. If anything this is a bigger shit on Bendis because when you go back to the comics you're greeted with the same dull "character" Bendis crapped out. Imagine how disappointed you'd be as a kid who just saw Spider-Verse then went to get a Miles Morales comic only for him to be nothing like his movie counterpart
I don't think the japs will like Peni, honestly, she might just seem stereotypical and boring to them. It's probably like if the YGOTAS version of Bandit Keith was a hero in a japanese movie, like a multiversial-version of BNHA or DBZ as an alt-universe All Might or Goku, that American audiences could see or something. I think they'll flock to Peter B, Noir and maybe Miles if the sheer amount of fucking Black Panther yaoi I see is anything to go off.
Julian Scott
>Practically no Penimiles art or fic >TFW not skilled enough in either writing or drawing to remedy this myself
Thankfully, the comics almost always take their cues from the successful movies, so I fully expect all the good shit they did with Miles in Spider-verse to bleed through to his comic character from now on.
yeah that's what I was asking, I just didnt pay attention to it before. what does it mean animated on twos?
Dominic Barnes
I'm glad they kept it out. Because I don't need to see the pig's butt.
Anyway, Spiderverse is kino.
Logan Baker
They only draw every second frame 12 fps instead of 24 fps which is film standard. 12 is often used for 2D animation but 3D uses 24 when it has any kind of budget because no human has to physically draw it.
Kayden Hill
It'd be funny if there was a scene where Peni was naked haha.
Hunter Green
man I love the smear
Angel Cruz
>New fan art coming in around ~8 days when the movie releases fully This gonna be good
And if she gets an anime it will be boring crap like those awful Marvel Anime.
Owen Ward
>Peni shower scene >thick steam just barely obscures her private parts (steam gets less thick in BD release) >suddenly Miles barges in >"Oh sorry it wasn't lo-" >IYAAAAAAAAAAA >knocks Miles out with a karate kick to the face
Carson Reyes
Wouldn't Peni just spider sense her way out of stupid ecchi anime situations like these?
James Sanchez
I don't know, does she even have a spider sense herself? Her spider is linked to the robot, but she's just a normal girl.
Tyler Scott
>implying all these anime thots don't actually want to get caught naked in a bath by the clueless protagonist
Xavier Brooks
Tommbstone was robbed of this scene
Oliver Bennett
We are talking about Japan, logic doesn't exist when there's fanservice
Anthony James
The end credits are nice, funny, fun and cool, but I don't understand why Peni isn't in it.
She is there but the robot doesn't mesh well aside from the intro. I saw some face lineup designs they have for merch, and peni is the robot face with peni poking out from the bottom.
Wyatt Lee
>being this jaded I wont completely spoil you, but prepare to be pleasantly subverted because I thought the same thing.
Jackson Brown
Peni is in Sp//dr mech.
Jacob Foster
No, is a really bad bad movie, the only good thing is Liv, and Prowler, good characters, but the entirely movie is really bad
Jaxon Flores
Yes, but why isn't she dancing or doing something cute?
Jordan James
They were doing test fires of the super collider before the story started.
In the beginning of the movie when Miles is walking by his old school one of the students says "Hey Miles, you feel that earthquake last night?" "No, I slept like a baby."
Investigating the earthquakes is most likely how that universe's Peter Parker found out about the whole project.
Asher Roberts
Forgot the image, this is the student who asks it.
I honestly don’t know why they had to add all that extra time-hopping bullshit with Gwen, we know the collider went off that Sunday night before Miles went to school, so why didn’t they just say she came after the first test run?
Everyone in the credits is "in-costume", so to speak.
Carson Wilson
Oh. Ok, I see. Makes sense.
Asher Fisher
>Tfw you’ll never jizz on Peni’s Feet Also, sauce on the artist?
Jose Evans
Because spider man getting dunked into the beam is what brought the other spideys to that universe, it's why they needed a strand of hair to bring kingpin's family back. They explicitly show green goblin's foot not entering the beam to explain there not being 5 other goblins running around.
Sebastian Foster
Because Peter getting caught in the beam is what drew the Spider People.
Tyler Powell
It was a different time.
Caleb Gray
Wouldn't it be funny if Peni's clothes were destroyed after a botched science project haha
Ayden Morales
NNNOOOOOOO BASED JAPS ARE SUPPOSED TO HATE BLACKS THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING
>Based Jap hated Blacks What are you talking about, dude?
There are like many of black skin character in anime and also this movie is animated, also they don't care what color of their skin, only when the stories and the overall are good, not to mention cute stuff or something that eyecandy for them Japanese.
Controversial opinion: Miles and Peter was the best part of the film. The other side characters (Peni, Porker and Noire) while all funny were not as engaging as the main story element of Peter's and Miles relationship and giving them more screen time would lose focus on that.
Gwen was okay but she didn't do much and should've been another Spidey side-character alongside the other three instead of awkwardly thrown in between Peters and Mile's mentor/student relationship.
Cameron James
I don't think that's too controversial. I agree at least
Why was the school showing a video of a mad scientist talking about science? Like, shes about as reputable as a homeless guy's rambling at this point, she's lost her mind and kinda does only criminal work now.
No, because Miles seeing her naked serves no actual danger to her physical well-being.
Jonathan Adams
This was well and truly his very last cameo, right? We'll no longer have to wait in dread for the inevitable moment in every single super hero film where the tension or humor is utterly shattered?
He has cameos filmed for the next couple of mcu films I think, which is a shame because this one was perfect as a final one.
Logan Wright
That'd actually be an interesting AU if Matt was adopted by the Kingpin, it'd be ironic in a cruel way
Ayden White
He has a cameo in spider-man, and avengers that are confirmed. The rest are speculation, most likely his very last cameo we'll see him is in Avengers
Jaxon Brown
They don't know she is crazy. She is probably like bill nye in that universe.
Jacob Wood
Well then where the fuck does she fight spider-man? She obviously has fought him before and knows who he is, and her disguise isn't really that great, to the point where Aunt May knows who she is.
Why Miles needs to be Spider-Man? Why he needs to be related to Peter? Can we get some Spider-Man media without his presence? Imagina a Spectacular Spider-Man reborn. Would be great. Until they shove Miles into it.
Jason Cooper
It’s also really visually clever. I loved how the spider sense could lead to sensory overload and depicted it with the increasing aberration and half muffled/flat audio.
Nicholas Lewis
It's evoking Spider-Gwen covers.
James Ward
Yes, that fag, Bendis.
Michael Wilson
The Boy Band Communists did npt have any involviment with this picrure
Man, this movie was so gorgeous. I'd kill for a decent torrent of the artbook.
Nicholas Gutierrez
>It's implied Aunt May has a history with her Given her complete lack of surprise at not only Liv but the other Spiders and villains having a slugfest in her living room, plus the fact that she knows all the ins and outs of Peter's hideout and even makes Miles custom-fitted web shooters, I think it's a fair guess that she was acting in an Alfred capacity. Probably it wasn't that she had any particular history with Liv, but rather was pretty familiar with all of Pete's villains just because she seemed to have been closely involved with his vigilantism.
I loved all the comic effects. The thought boxes, the little accent lines that would briefly flash to accommodate certain actions, the spider sense.
Isaac Gomez
>"My friends actually call me Liv, my enemies call me Doc Ock" >"Oh great, it's Liv."
Combine that with Aunt May's greater tech savviness and it's easy to assume they know each other beyond simply that.
Gavin Price
Yeah, I get why people are inferring that. It could certainly be true.
Jace Nguyen
Surprised nobody has said it. It's because he is black
Lucas Hill
Peni was cute, but didn't really have any funny moments.
Reminder that spiderverse returns to theaters this weekend. Who is going?
Zachary Anderson
>Heelys still exist in the year 3145 Wow
Robert James
Where did Gwen sleep in the time she spent in that dimension before she went to May? Where did she get clean clothes?
David Robinson
I know I've mentioned this before, but can we also talk about how Aunt May clobbered Tombstone with a baseball bat? Tombstone is supposed to have skin like stone and be strong enough to trade blows with Spiderman, and May bodied him so hard he went flying out her door and tumbled a good six feet. I know this version of Aunt May was tougher, but damn. If Miles and the gang hadn't shown up, she probably would have beaten up Kingpin herself.
>Yusuke Kozaki drew May, Peni and Gwen Has Murata drawn anything for the movie?
Kevin Foster
In the school? It does have a dorm and she probably just "borrowed" a spare uniform
James Stewart
It's not fair bros, why does Spider Man get so many chances at having a good shit? Spider Man 2 and arguably Spider Man 1 Spider Man Homecoming (works in universe) Spider Man 2 The Game Spider Man PS4 Spiderverse All good.
Nathan Ramirez
The same studio is a broad term, it certainly wasn't all the same staff. That's like saying wheat thins are the same as oreos since they're owned by the same parent company.
Jace Fisher
Saturation. Spider-man has had a lot of bad and mediocre stuff too, the good just shines brighter.
Hudson Perez
The part that confused me is why the fuck Miles uses QQ for his text messages. Even in a different dimension where Shawn of the Dead 2 got made how the fuck does QQ be the primary app used for that shit?
Aiden James
>All this Japanese fanart and the movie is still a week away from coming out Any hope that this will be as popular among nips as Frozen was?
>Red Man Group >Planet Inglewood >Blake Griffin is a pro baseball player >Stephen Curry is a pro golfer >Mr. Tomato Head >Clone College >Bridesmaids sequel as well >Rapper The Weeknd is called Kisslnd in this world >RedEx >Koka-Soda >EA Sports Water Polo game Also this movie takes place in the month of "Decembruary", and in the early trailer they showed the bill for the burger Peter ate was several thousand dollars. It's possible that this world is so weirdly different than ours that QQ could actually be a good app there.
>Guy on the far left >Panics and drops his coffee >Forgets where his phone-gun is and checks the wrong pockets >Finally pulls it and holds it like a scared rookie >Meanwhile >Lady at the same table grabs two laptop-rifles >Akimbo poses with them like she's Duke fucking Nukem That lady was waiting for a chance to use those. It's obviously not her first time shooting at a superhero.
>Nervous guy drops his coffee, has trouble finding his gun >Woman dual-wields rifles in an action movie pose >Dude Max Payne's into frame >Woman spins her rifle like Revolver Ocelot, causing her to not have her gun pointed at Spider-man until a full second after everyone else >Guy in background doesn't have a gun so he just holds up two coffees and hopes no one notices while clearly aware that someone's going to notice and he's going to get yelled at >Center guy grabs a gun normally because he's the center and it needs to be clear what's happening >Woman groans and looks at her coffee >Balding man is nervous and shaking >Woman facing the wrong way is slightly behind everyone else >Background dude casually finishes his coffee >Slouching dude has a chair gun
Man, there's a lot of jokes in this two second shot
Ryan Hill
Tombstone pretty much spent the entire movie getting ass whooped.
They recreated his anime style "NYAAH" while he was stuck to the light perfectly.
Seriously, watch the movie. Even in the English version, Miles nyaahs like a catgirl in that scene.
Jose Hernandez
Wherever Aryan Parker bought his from. Miles sings about how he has to buy his own web fluid ingredients in the Spidey Christmas album then plugs his gofundme at the end.
Colton Ward
I'd like to work for a company that would issue its employees transforming laser weapons.
Xavier Watson
>Aunt May decides to do it herself and goes rage mode >Smashes her way into Fisk tower by force with only her bat >Cracks each of Spidey's villains over the head, KOing them each in one shot >Breaks into the collider control room and destroys the whole system >Kingpin tries to stop her himself >Gets clocked so hard she home run's him right out of the building
We'll see that box office cause Japan doesn't give a damn about Spider-man normally
Adam Fisher
>Giorno's VA singing in English 2cute
Aiden Young
>The Spider-man toku show single handedly kicked off the concept of Sentai in Japan including helped inspire Kamen Rider and other shows >Spider-Man have proven repeatedly to be successful in Japan in virtually every incarnation >Spider-Man 2018 was one of the highest selling games in Jp even going toe to toe with darlings like Dragon Quest and Splatoon Don't talk out of your ass user
It still trips me out that Stan Lee wanted Marvel to acquire Super Sentai long before Saban did.
Jonathan Diaz
>show single handedly kicked off the concept of Sentai Now it's been a while, but I'm pretty sure he kick-started the idea of Sentai teams getting giant robots, not Sentai itself.
Tyler Sullivan
Let me rephrase that then, the 'modern concept of Sentai' I mean you're not wrong, there were other shows before you could classify as "sentai" but Spider-man was introduced so much to genre that it became standard
Jack Williams
This is correct. Leopardon predates the first Sentai mech by a year, which was Battle Fever Robo in '79, and the first transforming Sentai mech by two years, Denjiman's DaiDenzin in '80.
The names in Miles' contacts list are: >Benjamin P >Billy P >Cindy M >Dal >Dan Rock >Dinah E >EZ Ekiel >Hal >Hank Mboy >HH >Hudson Akitou >Jessica Drew >Jordan >Karn >Katty K >Lance >Larry >Levardis Bur >Liza >LL >Monica C >[Favorites] >B Bendis >Dad >Mom >Sara Pichelli >Rayshaun >Jason Reynolds >Pierre S Recognize any names?
Why is Peni so popular on Yea Forums? She barely says or does anything and doesn't really stand out in any way. Her anime-esque design could have been handled a lot better too, it doesn't look all that good.
Tyler Walker
Yea Forums loves anime gals.
Blake Lopez
>>Jessica Drew Hah.
I guess it's not Spider-woman and just an Easter egg.
to me it looks like BG fatso does have guns, he is just aiming to the ceiling rather than to the spiders, im sure Kingpin would still fire him anyways.
Nolan Garcia
Yeah, he's definitely got two of the cell phone pistols. He's just aiming at the ceiling because I guess he's never shot at a superhero before.
It was pointed out to me earlier on Reddit that Miles mimics this move at the end of the movie, when Peter B. and Gwen are talking about "we didn't teach him that."
I thought that was cool.
David Campbell
Ditko was in his dad's phone. Jefferson's contact list is >D. Cowen >C. McKenna >T. McFarlane >AJ Potack >K. Corriveau >S. Barron >Richard L.R. >Steve Ditko >-Favorites- >Brooklyn Visions >Miles >Gloria Morales >Aaron Davis >PDNY 71st >Rio
In the credits, it lists Post Malone as a Brooklyn bystander, meaning he has a line in the movie. Is he the one that says "I think it's a Banksy"?
Mason Taylor
So in a way, Peter did technically teach him that. Sort of.
Landon Watson
>that john mulaney billboard nice
Robert Ramirez
So I took a look at Prowler's motorcycle, which appears to be an old Ducati, and spotted a Gonzo Garage sticker on the tank. Gonzo Garage is an actual real world company that makes custom aftermarket motorcycle parts. That's quite a detail to put in literally one frame of animation that most people will never notice.
Also, it seems weird that Prowler would advertise his bike part brand loyalty on his super villain crime committing bike, but maybe that's just me.
Just watched this recently, had amazing visual effect throughout and great action scenes. I did feel a tang of sadness between Miles relationship with his family throughout the movie.
However, I felt the jump between Miles being a loser who can't control his powers to an absolute badass was way too short. I understand the gap due to it being a movie but when you have the majority of the movie focused on how much Miles sucks at being his own universe's Spider-Man and then in the last 20 minutes he becomes cloaky mcfreefallbadass it just just doesn't feel like it had any impact. And ontop of that, I felt like outside of the relationship Miles had with Peter, his family, and his Uncle there was no impact or build-up with any other characters introduced in the movie with the exception being Kingpin and his motivation for trying to hop dimensions in the first place.
Overall I'd rate it a 9/10 for execution and entertainment value alone, hope they expand on it in the future with either a TV series or sequel.
Wait, did Gwen have the symbiote suit in the movie? I don't remember.
Isaac Reed
Nope. Probably just making it sexier
Grayson Fisher
The potential to be Spider-man was in him all along, he just needed to believe in himself. He could have been cloaky mcfreefallbadass from the moment he got his powers, the only thing holding him back was his own self doubt.
It's not a super deep movie, this is afterschool special tier stuff. It's superheros, dude. Don't think too hard about it.
Jack Wright
I understand the message but he was literally on the same level of superheroes who had been doing that shit for a long time thanks to "the power of belief" Gurenn Lagann type shit.
Nathaniel Taylor
According to this paper, they left Spider-man's body in front of the Daily Bugle. How the hell did they manage that? The Bugle is usually in the Flatiron building, which is right in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in Manhattan. Second of all, why? Why wouldn't they dump his body in like the river or something, why leave him somewhere he'll be found immediately and cause an instant shitstorm? It wasn't Fisk trying to send a message since no one knew it was him. Was it just a gift for Jameson? Did they figure since he hated Spider-man, he would simply appreciate the gesture?
>She is probably like bill nye in that universe. LIV LIV LIV LIV LIV LIV
David Baker
It's superheros, I aint gotta explain shit.jpg
Landon Hill
>The only part that aged poorly is the scene where Norman kills those people at the parade. And even then it only adds to the charm. It's supposed to be dark, but it's so goofy it doesn't conflict with the overall tone at all.
Oliver Bell
Because as far as the general public knows, Liv's company is completely legitimate and not full of supervillains
Lincoln Cook
Shame she got run over by a bus. Cut down in her prime
Cooper Williams
Maybe nobody knew it was Fisk, but everyone knowing Spider Man is dead is good for business
Plus, maybe Fisk circulated the news in criminal circles. Like, "watch the news and I'll prove to you I killed spider man. I'll dump his body right in front of the bugle."
Brayden Bell
Been wondering this too.
Brayden Wood
What a waste.
Grayson Perry
I literally did not notice that until you pointed it out, too busy looking at spider noir and the rubiks cube.
Xavier Harris
Could be Scorpion trying to say, "Look, I finally finished that job you hired me for."
Dominic Sanders
Can you stop shilling this trash here? I thought Yea Forums supposed to have some kind of taste and this shit is perfect example of everything gone wrong with western animation: >cheap >15 fps >disgusting artstyle >capeshit >shitty characters like gwen and miles Sony thrown bone to capeshitters and they started to shill their generic flick everywhere.
Carson Perry
lol
Isaac Brooks
I hope that one day you can allow joy into your heart, user
Levi Garcia
>I thought Yea Forums supposed to have some kind of taste Yikes.
Sebastian Perry
I don't have the digital version of this but I remember a Clone High easter egg on one of the billboards at night, anyone have a shot of that?
I can just imagine the two nervous guys who clearly don't know what they're doing talking to each other after this scene was over
>Holy shit man, I actually shot at Spider-man! I didn't think I'd actually have to shoot anyone. I mean I watched the orientation video but I didn't think it would actually happen... >Just between you and me, I wasn't really aiming for him. I was just shooting into the air so it looked like I was participating >I've never shot a gun before, and now I freak out every time I answer my company phone because I'm afraid I'm gonna blow my head off with it. They don't prepare you for this in nanoengineering. >I'm only here because no one else was hiring theoretical physicists. Well, I mean it was either this or Oscorp.
Ian Martinez
They didn't remove it, that was just for the trailer.
Cooper Long
>No one else sees this. Nobody ever looks up. Trust me, it works just as well in video games if you want to hide secrets.
That's because Glover played Uncle Aaron in Homecoming
Alexander Cox
>wheat thins hweat thins
Easton Cruz
I mean we never hear the Post Malone bit so maybe Swae Lee collab'd with different artists
Anthony Garcia
I hope so. I'd killed for Into the Spider-Verse Nendos. If they happen I could see Miles, Gwen and Peter getting ones. Maybe a 50% Chance of a Peni and 30% / 20% on Ham and Noir. I could also see Noir coming with a Rubik's cube
It's like watching Harry Potter turned into a Spider-Man.
Owen Cooper
I think this is a pretty good critique of the movie's flaws. It isn't perfect or entirely consistent but it is entertaining and fresh so its flaws are forgiven.
Connor Reed
Hi Gwenshipper.
Isaiah Rivera
Miles did get his ass beat by Kingpin (only thing saving him was his unique secret spark ability) so while he does have the natural super spider reflexes he doesn't have the combat experience of the others.
Julian Howard
>has one of the most memorable scenes in any superhero film And that would be?
Ryder Garcia

Juan Powell
>>Guy in background doesn't have a gun so he just holds up two coffees and hopes no one notices while clearly aware that someone's going to notice and he's going to get yelled at holy shit i never noticed him
Nicholas Morales
Just curious is Yea Forums love or like Harry the protagonist in Harry Potter?Or Yea Forums thinks that Harry is bland or something.
Caleb Gray
>Blonde Peter Parker Is that Ben Reilly aka Scarlet Spider?
Okay so a lot of people in japan are talking about wanting peni figures, but are unhappy that the only one that exists is that one from Hasbro that looks nothing like her. If only there was a way to manipulate this into them pestering the right people for better merch.
>However, I felt the jump between Miles being a loser who can't control his powers to an absolute badass was way too short
Even in the final fight with Kingpin, Miles tries to venom strike him and it doesn't work, and then when he's losing he tries to turn invisible to escape and that shorts out as well. It's not until "Hey" that Miles truly gains control of his powers, which is triggered by him seeing his dad root for him.
Juan Bennett
I mean, every superhero movie is like that. Tobey Maguire mastered all his powers by the end of the first act. Miles had a training session with Peter in the woods and then got to practice in the city, and anyway he has a spider-sense that's sometimes used to explain away that kind of thing.
Ian Rogers
Which is, itself, because Miles was created in response to Donald Glover auditioning for the Amazing Spiderman and there being a shitstorm about how Spiderman can't be black.
Aaron Gutierrez
>It´s like she´s wearing roller blades
She....is wearing roller blades. That's the joke, she has heelys, a type of shoe with wheels in the heels so you can skate around on them.
The real question is if that's part of the uniform and the whole school in Peni's universe is required to wear wheeled shoes
She didn't come from the first test, she came when Spider-Man entered the collider like the rest of them, it's just that she was shot back into the past by a week.
Dylan Nelson
How come so many japanese twitter posts talking about the movie are waifuing gwen over peni?
Cooper Murphy
Before Spider-Man it was just known as Sentai. After they started including robots it became Super Sentai.
Nathaniel Rodriguez
>Spider-Verse Miles is Giorno >Spidey PS4 Peter is Jonathan
Fitting
Lucas Campbell
Despite Peni being actual otakubait, nips still love their alt rocker girls
Because Gwen is closer to being an actual character and is not just there to look Kawaii desu
Robert Hill
I bet her nipples are heart-shaped too.
Kayden Mitchell
They must have some excellent benefits.
Wyatt Evans
wtf Penibros, why do Gwenchads always win?
Nathaniel Russell
It may have something to do with the fact Peni girl version of a male character while Gwen is an actual girl.
Xavier Hall
Lets send this clear cut list of Miles comics to our japan bros in case they would like to read his books this should cause no confusion to any one involved
Japan fucking loves spiderman. It's not a surprise
Colton Hall
I assume the Japanese VA who voiced Miles also voiced Harry in the HP movies.
John Hernandez
Is there an outrage drama in Japan, where Japs make an unfateful source material of Spiderman, and the people of Japans fans of Spiderman angry and mad because of how disrespectful that the Japs industry make it happen.
Jonathan Brown
It's more like a final fuck you I like to think he was either dropped or impaled,in a gargole or something. Like they put it in there over night and noneone noticed And when they openned the windows next morning Jameson saw Arian Peter's mangled, broken, lifeless body on his window and called the police Very Epic.
Luke Hughes
No, it's his cousin Ted McFarlane,he sells sports clothes in Arizona
Alexander Sullivan
Probably not, they seem to look back on Tokosatsu Spide-Man fondly, and he strayed pretty far from the source material.
Matthew Ortiz
Comic miles is a whole other character from film miles.
Elijah Butler
it sucks bro, maybe after the japanese release.
Logan Scott
I finally watched it and loved it. But one thing irks me... did the rest of spider-people have to be so mean to Morales at first? Kinda threw me off, was such a nice buddy-movie before, and suddenly, everyone hates the main character. What about trying to help him learn, instead of bombarding him with criticism.
Jonathan Hernandez
Nice, keeping this one
Easton Davis
>did the rest of spider-people have to be so mean to Morales at first? Glad someone else thinks this as well
Jace Barnes
The villains knew they were coming anyway. Spiderman showed up the first time they turned it on.
Christian Torres
Need more miles shota
Matthew Mitchell
Wouldn't be surprised if that was actually Ben and the real Peter will be coming out of retirement in next movie just like Clone Saga.
Also, Ben cucks Peter.
Jacob Turner
poor lady just wanted a moment to relax with her coffee
Asher Gonzalez
I didn't like Miles and his uncle in comic. I like Miles and his uncle in movie.
There were only a few hours left until they all died and they didn't want Miles to get himself killed. You can see later when they were outside his window when Peter was talking to him that they wanted him to succeed.
It was his first day on the job and they worried that he would die and not end the threat to their universes, sure they were dicks but lives were on the line.
Justin Wilson
I guess when the fate of multiple universes is on the line, you don't quite have the luxury of codeling someone. Peter B did handle it the best though
Adrian Cox
>now I'll teach you a lesson for stealing >sits on your face
Levi Garcia
>now I'll teach you a lesson for interfering >bites your clitoris off
Isaac Clark
Imagine traveling like 5 years into the past and trying to convince Yea Forums there's going to be an academy award-winning Spider-Man film featuring Miles Morales, Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker and Spider-Gwen.
It's still hard to believe this is the realite we actually live in.
I love the movie too, but are we just going to ignore the Gwen plot hole >arrives before the other spidermen >miles' spider sense doesn't react to her at all
Chase Allen
Time fuckery tossed her a week earlier than everyone, and Miles spidey sense takes a while to kick in, well after the hair incident
Caleb Parker
She doesn't view miles as a threat.
Ryder Sullivan
Oops, I misread your comment.
Jose Cox
Could be he just chalked it up to his general apprehension and nervousness around girls when they show any interest in him established earlier on in the movie.
Connor Harris
What special features do they have on the bluray. Do they go more in depth with the art and making of stuff? I know they have deleted scenes.
Dylan Jackson
My favourite scenes are when hobo spidey thinks about MJ. When he picks up her photo in Peter's base, when he meets her at the party and of course at the finale when he's scared of screwing up again. I dunno, I think they're just done really well. I really felt something, it was kind of suprising in this lighthearted movie. Maybe it's just my age but I just cared much more for Peter's fucked up life than Miles' standard coming of (superhero) age story.
A shame there isn't a Kensho Ono(Miles Jap VA) version of Sunflower
Xavier Sanders
>Ah fuck's sake it's too early for this
Jayden Diaz
Because Comic Miles is just a carbon copy of Peter.
Joseph Lopez
Sunflower is sung by swae lee not miles' va. Ono sings parts of the song in engrish as miles if that's what you meant
Christopher Baker
How come Mary Jane didn't want kids in Blonde Spidey's universe?
Benjamin Carter
I still can't fucking believe they did that.
Ian Ortiz
Who says she didn't? Also keep in mind Blonde Spidey and MJ are younger than B Spidey and his MJ, maybe she just didn't want children yet.
John Long
Considering how fine she was with going to a spider themed party thrown literally two days later by his killer she didn't seem that invested in the relationship
Doubt she knew he killed him, we dont know how much Blond Peter told her
Andrew Jones
We don't know anything about Blonde Spidey and MJ's relationship. Besides he was a grad student. They were only 26. Not like Peter B and his MJ who were in their 30s already
Asher Perez
King Pin was a respected socialite who threw a party in honor of NYC's fallen hero. He even mentions inviting Spider-Man's wife
I kinda wish the jacket would stay part of Miles's outft. It looks cool
Asher Phillips
So all female movie will have gwen and silk. Probably return of peni aged up. Mayday will show up to show peter and mj had a kid too. Also gwenpool for comedy relief. Any other ideas?
No, the actual Gwen plothole is how the fuck she managed to enroll herself in Brooklyn Visions without a single teacher asking her who the fuck she is.
All the fanart with Peter B and MJ having a baby in a Renew Your Vows type of deal is cute as fuck, but aren't both Peter and MJ in their late 30s by this point? Isn't it a little late to be having kids?
Nathan King
He's at least 38, so yeah pretty old
Kayden Reyes
Equipment is still good until mid to late 40s.
Nathan Price
Don't let your parents brainwash you into thinking you have no choice but to pump out kids right out of goddamn college, dude. You don't immediately get wheeled into a retirement home as soon as you hit 29.
Grayson Adams
Nah
Levi Rogers
Is this all leading to this cross-dimensional force of spider-men trying to keep everything stable?
Joshua Perry
A y scenes with Spiderham?
Benjamin Bell
It helps when Marvel itself has no issues with it either, I wish they would release Blu-Rays though
Gavin Thompson
The odds of complications and disorders such as autism slowlt begin to rise after 35, but people are perfectly capable of having happy, healthy children well ino their 40s
Carson Edwards
Yup, my aunt got pregnant unplanned and she's in her 40s, and my new little cousin is a 100% normal little boy
Jacob Jenkins
Lineup sounds good but I dont know if gwenpool is allowed for obvious reasons. Her inclusion would bring entertainment to the board since half will cheer and half will seethe.
Ethan Flores
Oh dang, that's way less funny than just holding up two coffee cups. Stop it.
Aiden Young
Probably
Joseph Wilson
There isn't a straight degrade in the quality of a human being produce after that age.
Statistics show that children born from older couples have longer lifespans. They are just different.
Jason Jones
Considering almost everything around them is secretly a gun, it wouldn't surprise me if Alchemax also considered transforming coffee cup guns as an option.
Christian Peterson
According to wikipedia, egg cremes were allegedly created by Jewish immigrants.
>this movie would have been good if it weren't for the central characters user that makes no sense. It would be a different movie altogether.
Zachary Morgan
....The guy's hair in the back changes colour.
Ian Jones
Dimensional anomaly.
Angel Howard
Everything about this looks so, so wrong.
Eli Bennett
>MEME SCENE SENSE I don't know if I love or hate this, but I can't argue it's a good band name
Owen Carter
This will never be resolved. They need a reason to have a Miles and Gwen romance
Jaxson Collins
God damn it it's great but Miles very existence means it'll never happen
Cameron Bell
user that's Peter B and MJ's baby
Mason Bell
From another universe, peter is dead in Miles universe so this actually is impossible for every one of those characters to meet. God damn it all, I know what this sounds like and I know that we all already know but I'm sticking with it. It would be cool, I guess, if we could get a Miles in later in peters career to take over the name during child rearing, It honestly would've been better than the clone saga but Miles is but its the way it is I suppose.
John Morgan
Hey user, relax, it's fanart
Lucas Cruz
It hurts bros. Why can't I live in that universe?
Ethan Perez
How does Mile's existence terminate the existence of May?
Cooper Young
times square is trash in every universe don't let the waifu fool you
Dylan Torres
I think user is talking about Clone College
Alexander Evans
>Peter Benis Parker
Nicholas James
Honestly this strikes me as sony pictures trying to save a little bit of time instead of just modeling two old timey trains and never using them.
Because peter dies in order to make Miles work, its how two of his three origins have worked(so far). Bendis never intended on peter and Miles interacting since he killed his peter so early into his career. Sure the alternate dimensions thing is something but we all know its not the same. The way it goes is peter establishes the name costume and relationship with the villains than Miles comes in to take the glory, why do you think people hate him so passionately? Besides the complete lack of creativity that goes into every aspect of his writing from the lack of villains to the lack of love interests?
Oliver Martinez
Miles got three love interests.
Barbara, Kate bishop, and maybe kamala.
Austin Gonzalez
two of those love interests have nothing to do with miles and everything to do with spider-man. Not sure where the first girl is from though, is she the one in the recent run?
Connor Cook
Okay, How? How's. Ulitmate Kate bishop got to do with Peter parker? Or Kamala? She was only a fan of him.
Zachary King
Or jesus so one of the characters lists is an alternate universe version of a legacy character that been "dead" for 5 years? God Miles is sad, and Kamala doesn't care who her spider-man is and if they are going to push them together, an interaction we've only ever seen in team books or events, what does that have to do with Miles himself and not his life as a super hero?
Jack Carter
>Yea Forums approved miles morales >Yea Forums approved miles morales x gwen fucking stacy good god
Did you remember to do your duty and kill 5 niggers today? If not, fuck off you faker.
Jason Powell
you give the people shiny colors they don't care about the thought that goes into it. Half of these niggas just want to see people get mad because they think it accomplishes something or that it changes the fact the Miles is simply a marketing tool that worked and has no actual heart involved with any of his inclusion into the franchise
Jaxson Russell
dipshits i was saying how amazed i was to be in a reality where nigger spiderman x gwen was EVER done well and/or likeable
Isaac Price
you push something long enough with enough writers eventually someone is going to find a way to make it "work"
Ryder Wright
Dose anybody have a link for The Spider ham Short called Spider Ham Caught in the ham?
Daniel White
Overrated movie.
Luke Johnson
it's not other people's fault that white people don't find themselves attractive enough to continue fucking each other. cope
Carter Howard
You say love interests not people who stays with him to very end.
Only thing I know that Kamala and miles both like to hang out when they are not superheroing. And miles loves to write fanfics like her.
It seems more like a connection reminiscent of his one to Peter, latching him onto a more popular character for the appearance boost. Does the into the spider-verse kid seem like a dork who writes fan fiction?
Shits weird when you have the capability to think further than right now. Not saying your completely wrong but it’s also the way pregnancy is treated in a first world society as a burden both financially and environmentally when it should be seen as a miracle, it’s all of the above obviously but we’re told that participation and progress means rejiggering the already rigged system into others favor rather than creating something new, but you’re right I suppose just cope
Robert Long
Don't let Alan Moore's bullshit fool you. All those sperm and eggs that attempt to copulate during impregnation - and their product fetuses - are completely interchangeable. There's absolutely nothing miraculous about birth.
Ryder Bell
The birth part isn’t the miracle the person is. And yes I know how childish it is thinking that after roughly 6000 years of recorded history hundreds of thousands of years of hominids and eons of existence in creation but life is still a pretty rediculous concept, even those of us shackled to the underbelly of s Tibetan throat singing forum is a mostly unquantifiable asset. Do we live up to (or even have much of) that potential? Oh Lordy no, but it is a wonderful idea to keep perpetuating I think
Jackson King
Has he ever even talked about writing anything in his solo?
Wyatt Ward
Yes, he got comics and toys of his heroes. And he pretty expression.
Nathaniel Nguyen
He does write a journal in his solo. But, that was force on by his teacher.
I see what you mean and while I still assume it was a trait grafted onto him to connect him closer to Kamala they may try to write it in. But at that point it seems weird for a dude to write stories about him and his friends going on adventures (with sexy results) it does almost sound better than fan fiction. I just want miles to be shunted to the ultimate universe where he would be forever separated from Peter, if they’re not going to write the connection organically than don’t write it at all
William Hughes
It's crazy hearing his voice out of his grown ass body. He sounds like a teenager but he's definitely an adult
My parents had my brother in their early 40s. Maybe they won't be having like multiple children, but 38 is hardly too late to start entirely.
Andrew Collins
Because miles still has never been properly quantified in peters life, how long has he had his powers in relation to Peter? Where did he get his costume? Why did he never think to make his own name? Him using spider-man makes sense when Peter is dead but not really when he’s alive working in the same city
Joseph Morgan
Pretty sure that's just lighting. It's just a darker shade of brown. Still a bit of a continuity error since he presumably hadn't moved but still
Colton Clark
I'm still sad that Sam gets the short end of the stick. He may not be Rich but he's grown on me, but he always gets shafted compared to Miles and Kamala
Xavier Thompson
It's totally lighting. He's in light in the first part and in the shadow when it cuts back to him
Luke Wilson
He’s pretty much everything that Miles wishes he could be, a great and understandably strained relationship with his mentor a great justification to why they share the same name and a cool cast with a spunky personality
And most importantly pete has the supporting cast villains relationships and history to be able to handle four books. Miles needs team ups and corssovers to fill out one book
I always find this an odd point of contention here since Disney didn't make the movie but they get the bulk of the merchandising revenue so its like we had to prevent a way for Disney win yet they still won hard
Adrian Anderson
>Was Disney's Oscar campaign too smart to win?
Justin Thompson
>Here's How Disney Can Still Win
Dominic Gray
Their nominations were atrocious this year, I liked Incredibles 2 but it was the same plot as the first movie so it didn't deserve the oscar and while I didn't see wreck it ralph I'm fine with knowing a Disney movie about Disney characters learning how much fun there is to be had at Disney.com wasn't award worthy. Isle of Dogs was alright but it won't be what nets Wes Anderson his oscar and Mirai didn't have Myazakis name attached so there was no way in hell the academy even knew what it was. Spider-verse was fine but it won primarily due to politics and terrible competition
