Did this show ever go to shit at any point?
Did this show ever go to shit at any point?
no
King of the Hill has consistency but when episodes are shit, they're REALLY shit.
Worst it got was the last couple seasons where you probably weren't laughing *quite* as much, but the show never turned into anything you could call bad.
What is the worst episode of KOTH? Lost in Myspace is pretty terrible but still watchable. Just felt like lazy writing.
It got worse in the later seasons, more or less around the point of the digital animation switch even though I don't think that has anything to do with it, but I think it ended before the entire thing could be called "shit." It was more just less funny/memorable than a typical episode from earlier in the series, even kind of safer plotwise, than outright bad.
There were some episodes I think were shit from that period though, but that doesn't mean whole seasons were that quality. I do definitely prefer the earlier seasons and would rewatch those before the later stuff, but I don't have a point of "the show DIED/should have ended here."
Episodes that were centered around Bill seem to be mediocre. Except the episode where he discovers he was a lab rat, that was good.
I hated the episode where he made Bobby miserable so goddamn much
I remember there being bad episodes, but I can't recall them. Some of the show's characters became slightly flanderized in the last few seasons The show was getting a little stale by then, but there were still a few good episodes from those seasons.
The last few seasons were terrible. At the point where people stopped acting like people the show lost its charm. Like the co-op people freaking out because they made money or Enrique freaking out because of salmon tacos.
The show just stopped being down to earth.
It stayed good. I think the last couple season werent quite AS good (usually) but they were still good
A lot of people don't like Lucky because he doesn't have any current faults, all of his mistakes and such are in the past and he's trying to make up for that.
Every other character had their strengths and faults as characters on the show, but Lucky was just all-around a nice guy. Viewers couldn't relate. Personally I liked him, since he was voiced by Tom Petty.
It was more what he did for Luanneās character. Her whole arc was her leaving her trailer park roots and she ended uo marrying the embodiment of that
Off the top of my head, not really, maybe about 3 or 4 probably involving Peggy and/or Bill. Usually, they are mediocre or a conflict isn't interesting or meaningful at all. Like when Bobby lived in a dog house or went to comedy school, idk, it's been awhile.
First episode season 4. I hate everything about that episode
boring cartoon about an even more boring boomer being always right.
You mean when he gave him bad advice on purpose after he was over connie? Yeah, fuck him. It's not like it's the only time you can actually see him for the piece of shit he is
There are a few shit episodes, but there is never a point in the show when quality ever is in a state of permanent decline. So no, it never went to shit, it had some bad episodes, like any show, but maintained its quality over the course of it's lifetime.
The one where Hank makes Bobby sleep in the doghouse.
after season 9
>Both Luanne's and Lucky's VAs are dead
>Dusty old bones full of green dust
That episode were Hank hates a guys job picking up poop because it's "gross"
how do you figure?
The one where Peggy ruins Thanksgiving
>how do you figure?
How do I figure what? He clearly only hates that job since Bobby didn't go right to his booth.
no. it just gets a liiittle worse.
when Lucky became a regular
>and she ended uo marrying the embodiment of that
She lived in a nice, clean house across the street, they were the kind of good religious folk who care more about their fellow man than just worship, they gave their baby lots of attention and love, they were able to afford the bills every month, had a good truck. Lucky was even willing to get his GED before marrying Luanne.
I don't know, seemed like more of the point of his character was that just because you look like trailer park trash on the outside doesn't mean you're inherently a shitty, trashy person. And that there's nothing wrong with being a little hillbilly-ish.
the second lucky showed up is when it definitely jumped the shark.
No, but Hank is aware that Bobby isn't as good-looking and confident as the poop cleaner guy, and wants to spare him the constant ridicule he'd no doubt receive for cleaning up shit and barf.
People also forget that they made Luanne retarded like 3 seasons before Buckley was in it
What are you taaaalking about?
What are you talking about?
No, but the last seasons weren't as funny or consistent as the early + middle ones.
The last few seasons had some zombie episodes where the charactization of characters would bend pretty far for a joke but I wouldn't say it was shit.
Plus poop-cleaner guy's whole business is based on being a luxury service rich people pay a premium for, I doubt he was doing nearly as well post-GFC.
Anything involving Luanne
