Who do you like more?

Steven has an underrated character, to me. Struggling with his own identity as Steven and not Rose, feeling pressured to live up to her name at his own detriment.

But his personality is awful, especially later seasons, and he's the catalyst for a lot of the dumbest parts of SU. I want to say I like Star more but the revelation that she was putting on a "ditzy" act in S1 really just turned me off from the character. I think there's a bit more to her character to unpackage than meets the eye too, though.

Star wasn't used well in S3 but I'd still put her above Steven. Some of that is partially my dislike of the larger SU fandom being projected on the character but welp that's just how it's gonna be.

Since Jackie is gone from the show, all they do is bash Star and the show non-stop. They constantly harangue about how the quality has 'dropped' since S2, yet the show has stayed the exact fucking same since S1. Not exactly smartly written, not exactly as awesome as you want it to be, but it's still nice. Steven is inconsistent, sometimes he is innocent and idealistic while other times he is willing to fight. He is childish and mature depending on the episode and somehow he hates Kevin more for being a jerk that the Diamonds for attacking earth.
