Now that this decade is coming to a close I think we can all agree that this has been the worst decade for cartoons since the 70s?
>Problem Solverz >Secret Mountain Fort Awesome >Fanboy and Chum Chum >Ben 10 Ultimate Alien >Korra >Beware The Batman >Teen Titans Go >Ben 10 Omniverse >Ben 10 2016 >The Powerpuff Girls 2016 >Breadwinners >Bunsen Is A Beast >The Loud House >Sanjay and Craig >Summer Camp Island >Annoying Orange >Total Dramarama
Not just for cartoons but for video games and film in general
Bioshock Infinite and Infinity War are the only games/films I liked this decade
Julian Hill
>I think we can all agree that this has been the worst decade for cartoons since the 70s? I agree, Every show feels the same now or at least the ones on TV do, This reminds me of what Hanna Barbera used to do with the Scooby Doo clones...This is similar, But with bean mouths and and random humor instead.
I find it so weird no one ever lists the streaming cartoons as well
Samuel Baker
>I think we can all agree that this has been the worst decade for cartoons since the 70s? No you fucking retard. And Beware The Batman, Teen Titans Go and Ben 10 Omniverse are good. Summer Camp Island is decent.
Any argument that OP makes is instantly invalid due to them using those images. Not even in Reddit they are that stupid.

Stop spamming your shitty e-celeb opinion, the 2010s were great. We got pic related, 2012 TMNT and RotTMNT after that, Young Justice came, went, then came back again, and Clone Wars is coming back as well. Netflix gave us Castlevania, Hilda and Bojak Horseman. We've gotten some of the best animated movies this decade as well, one just won an oscar.
I actually liked Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, it had some decent writing. I personally would replace it with the likes of Big Mouth or Bordertown.
Christopher Hill
Quality content >Fanboy & Chum Chum >All Ben 10 things >Korra >Breadwinners >Bunsen >Loud House >Sanjay and Craig Rest is shit. I would have added PPG too but the RRB have been relegated to cameos and I got pissed off. Fight me.
Based as fuck and super redpilled.

There is some mighty fine cherry-picking going on in this thread.
/r/ing your best Cherry Pie recipe?
Jace Adams
There is a few shows that shouldn't be there, namely >Sidekick >Flapjack >Scaredy Squirrel >Not gonna lie I want to say BTR too but hell no >Same for Shake it Up, Dog with a Blog and Sam & Cat >Victorious was hella good fight me >Total Drama >Sanjay & Craig >Ben 10
Big question.
Based. You mean all of them minus Motorcity

Animation in the 2020's are going to make the 90's look like a fucking joke. Animation golden age soon, bros, screencap this.
I think the thing that comes to mind is that a lot of these examples, you've given, ended poorly or fell below expectations. Which is what we remember of them and why it adds a bad tint to the decade. There is a problem with homogenisation. But, that's because T.V is dying.
Although some of your examples are just straight up poor. Steven Universe? Star Wars Rebels? That's not far off giving Star Vs as an example.
Jeremiah Rodriguez
Why do the "dark age" threads only mention things that aired in CN, Nick or Disney? Op, are you suggesting that you only watch cartoons that aired in those channels?
>bean mouths i'd like bean from disenchantment to use her mouth on me!
Hudson Lewis
>he doesnt like Josie & the Waifucats
Jordan Cox
>ended poorly or fell below expectations. Which is what we remember of them and why it adds a bad tint to the decade You could say the same thing about Dexter, Johnny Bravo, PPG and other 90's and 2000's cartoons

>We got pic related, 2012 TMNT and RotTMNT after that, So we had only garbage. Got it.

I think this has been a pretty amazing decade for cartoons. Not only are there so many more outlets for it (cable, streaming, hell even just on the internet), but it's been pretty groundbreaking in terms of representation for the LGBT+ community. I honestly don't know how great it would have been if I had shows like SU, Loud House, AT, or She-Ra when I was a kid. Looking forward to seeing what kinds of shows the kids growing up now will create.
What a shitty fucking decade. Still, the late 00's were worse.
Ayden Gutierrez
I feel like cartoons are either recovering from the damage from the late 2000's, or it's just declining even slower.
Jose Cook
(OP) I completely agree, I think it has to do with the fact that most modern animators (and the corporations theyre working for) believe that kids entertainment requires no effort or thought. It's quite sad because future generations will likely grow up to be fucking morons because they never got to experience any clever comedy or complex emotions. But at least we still have Internet animation.
