I wasn't going to see it anyways before learning she was a complete shitcunt because it's poor story writing. No one wants to see some super OP character with no flaws the same way Batman films always do way better than Superman films.
>spend the last 11 years since Ironman/The incredible hulk building up a marvel universe >the core phase one characters of Avengers all still together fighting the ultimate big baddy Thanos >some pretty strong characters like Thor and Hulk and Doctor Strange who beat world ending gods still job to Thanos >Doctor Strange has a plan to beat Thanos after looking into the future and realizing what happens and there's only one timeline >everyone is thinking "hey they're going to come up with some genius plan to beat Thanos with their given powers even though no one is completely overpowered and they all have different strengths and weaknesses" >introduce someone they call "Stronger than Thanos" who is basically superman without kryptonite and give her her own fucking movie a few months before the endgame and announce she'll be the main protagonist, despite the audience not having any connection to her and her completely tipping the balance scales in a way no one wants to see
That's the laziest fucking writing I've ever seen. That's anime tier asspull right there.
lmao imagine being mad at fanfic you wrote in your head
Chase Lopez
Try actually reading the articles instead of falling for misleading clickbait, you triggered faggots. Feige never mentions Thanos or compares Carol to him
Parker Long
>Captain Marvel is a character in our comics and in a mythology whose got one foot on Earth, one foot in the cosmic arena. And now that we have made a number of movies that take place on Earth, and now a number of the cosmic adventures with Avengers, and with Guardians of the Galaxy and with Thor, we thought it was the right time to finally introduce Captain Marvel to the world. She’s one of the most popular characters in our comics, she’s one of the most powerful characters in the comics and will be the most powerful character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
David King
Thank you, posting the actual quote is a very useful way to show he never mentioned Thanos
Adam Adams
Most powerful character in the MCU. Thanos is in the MCU.
That means more powerful than Thanos. How is that hard to comprehend?
Julian Perry
>one of the most popular charactets in the comics I can't believe they are this tone-deaf
Thomas Miller
Thanos isn't that strong without the stones. Dr Strange or Thor could beat him. With the stones, he is more powerful than literally any being within MCU. A single stone can push back the advances of an elder god, all of them together make you invincible. The most ass-pullish thing in the entire MCU was the rag-tag team ALMOST defeating him by pulling the glove off.
Evan Myers
Thanos beat Hulk in brute strength with no stone. He's pretty OP.
The most asspull thing was Dr. Strange NOT being able to beat him with the timestone the way he did a little world eating god.
Leo Ward
Am I going to be the one to say it? Okay; fine. What's with the Hank Hill ass? Did Holland hog it all?
James Ross
It's what happens when a feminist brags that a 225 deadlift is more than men can do and unironically believes it.
Henry Wilson
Thanos has a semi-omnipotent, reality-altering gauntlet, he's not in a power levels chart as of Endgame. And he's clearly talking about the superheroes, not the threats they face, or are unironically arguing that this quote is supposed to announce that from now on there's never going to be an Avengers or MCU movie again because Carol can defeat the baddie in the first five minutes by just existing?
No matter how hard you push this meme, no one in their right mind believes Carol is the universe's new deus ex machina. The Avengers movies are always very specifically about team efforts, to the point that "they have to learn to fight as a team" sort of became a meme. Introducing new super-powerful characters not only isn't new, it never ended up being the end-all solution. Vision or Wanda didn't singlehandedly defeat Ultron, Strange put up probably more of a fight than anyone but he didn't defeat Thanos, neither did Thor with a brand new fancy weapon created for that purpose specifically, that pattern isn't going to break now just to fit your conspiracy theories about how women ruin everything by merely existing
All this bitching makes as much sense as when for the previous Avengers movies anons were swearing up and down that Widow would lift Mjolnir, or that Hela was going to replace Death, as it doesn't make much sense at all
He had the Power Stone when he beat the Hulk, though. Given that Hulk himself is powerful enough to flatten Thor, it's reasonable to assume that having that stone is what enabled Thanos to win that fight. Hell, that's probably why he went for it first, despite it being heavily defended on Xandar- with it in his possession, he could at least be sure he could physically overpower anyone else.
>incels are this invested in a movie they don't want to see yet Can't wait for the Oscars to come back
Jeremiah Taylor
Hows that supposed to placate a bunch of morose incels addicted to the social media that eroded their souls away?
Matthew Barnes
>that's not how good movies work fixed
it is exactly how shitty apathetic propaganda for the moronic underclasses works. which is all superheroes have ever been, in every incarnation.
Landon Gray
>225 deadlift
Glutes are weird. If someone had sticks for arms instead of biceps I'd generally be right to assume that they can't lift anything. 225 is genuinely impressive for someone who by their picture had me questioning if they could even run like a normal person.
Juan Watson
The best part is she's not remotely popular and not even that powerful. Oh Feige.
Nathaniel Cook
>Maybe if I call everyone incels I'll be right. INCEL INCEL INCEL
Bentley Ward
Thats all Carolshills can do
Lucas Ramirez
That’s what happens when you have strength and know how to use it, you don’t need to be the strongest person in the room if you know where to hit and when. Hulk is a big dumb monster that has no idea how to actually fight, he just throws haymakers like a child throwing a tantrum.
Nolan Collins
>one of the most popular characters in our comics Has she ever been popular like ever?
Christian Rodriguez
>Don’t believe the news, they are fake news! Sure thing, Mr. President.
Joshua Smith
the time stone trick only worked in dormmamu’s realm because Dormammu didn’t know what time was as time doesn’t exist there
Jaxson Hernandez
>He had the Power Stone when he beat the Hulk, though.
Except that the stone didn't glow once during the fight?
Julian Taylor
Caral Danvers was an amazing character as Ms. Marvel, she had problems and imperfections as well as being hot headed. But she had heart and went through a change in character through out the comics. But now as Captain Marvel she is just a feminist cunt. I will always look at Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel.
Brandon James
> she’s one of the most powerful characters in the comics Lol no
Joseph Thompson
Your wall of text still fails to hide your SALT from the fact that you cannot handle a female character you cannot jerk off to. Grow up, sexist pig.
Wyatt Peterson
Why are you here?

Women are for sex, user. No sexual appeal, no use.

Powerlevel faggots deserve all the pain and disappointment they get

>you cannot handle a female you cannot jerk off to. Stop making this about you.
Michael Sanders
Y’all are taking this way too seriously but I agree with the point that Carol is a new character in the MCU, and having her be the one who will defeat Thanos and save the day is terrible writing. Specially because there was no foreshadowing whatsoever at her existance until the end of IW
Asher Gomez
Considering this is Yea Forums i'm going to guess this is a serious post.
Brie Larson being ugly wouldn't be such an issue if she wasn't also a huge bitch with a rotten personality as ugly as her appearance.
Jayden Collins
How will Wonder Woman fans cope? Captain Marvel will actually be a true feminist movie. Not some stupid romcom where the male love interest does everything.
