It's easier than it sounds. Unlike Chinese and Japanese, Korean uses an alphabet. Years ago I learned it, so I could read it but didn't understand the language. And I could write names.

Something i liked about this show is how it didn't portray Hilda's mom as an useless sidecharacter, but instead made her involved in all the paranormal stuff. Usually in cartoons adults have no idea about anything, and kids want to keep everything a secret, so I'm glad this show didn't do that.

On the other hand, i dislike the show for a couple of reasons, but i still think it was good.

Yeah, same, the relationship Hilda-Johanna is one of the best things in the entire show. If you liked her, you should read the comics. They relationship is far more interesting and more developed in the comics.
