Easily, BEN 10.
Fuck off , been 10 was the shit
>Fuck off , BEN 10 was shit
FTFY
Ben 10
Yeah, I mean if I had to pick one, it'd be Ben 10. Don't know if I'd consider it Golden Age CN though. Same with TT.
I love Ben 10 but it is not better than the other ones. If Billy and Mandy was on there instead, this would not be possible to choose
I could live without Ben 10
Honestly? Fosters. Frankie waifu-ing aside it's easily the most forgettable, with there only being a couple episodes I actually remember.
Is Yea Forums finally wising up to the fact the Ben 10 was just OK? Gwen was a godsend but the show itself was never all that memorable in any of it's forms.
Dexter
KND
Ben 10
The execution is wasted potential of a great concept
Ben 10 doesn't belong what utter trash shit
Ben 10 really was just bad guy of the week unlike Teen Titans, Powerpuff Girls, or KND where although they had similar formats, the types of episodes felt very different. It used bad guy of the week as a way to explore Slice of Life stuff but Ben 10 was an action cartoon through and through and it showed with Ben having little to no personality.
Underrated choice. Dexter is decent but overrated
All terrible
For me, it's because I wasn't a kid when the original Ben 10 was on. Show came on when I was like 15 so I don't have as many found memories watching it.
Drop dead, casual.
1) Ben 10, ben was an insufferable piece of shit and spawned a franchise akin to squeezing blood from a rock, except now NC got blood again and where can expect another decade of this shit.
2) Teen titans, just so I can prevent the endless bitching about teen titans go from ever happening.
3) Fosters, a solid shot but I feel like if it came down to it we would loose the lease from canning it.
Everything else in no touch ESPECIALLY Ed Courage and Jack.
Fosters Home. Is this even a choice?
Ooh! Everybody! Look! We got a edgy 12 Yr. Old over here who thinks he's special because he hates things just because they'e popular!
Ben 10.
I prefer the original to Foster's, but really Ben 10 needs to be nipped in the bud. Its on what, its 6th remake/spin-off, each worse than the last?
Not to mention not even that was really memorable, the villains sucked and the plot was as formulaic as Scooby do without the charm of a dog
easy. kill ed, edd and eddy (such a dumb show).
can also kill foster's home for imaginary friends, pretty irrelevant and not talked about anymore.
Lastly, kill Dexters Laboratory because it's also dumb
(KND is skating on thin ice and 4th on the chopping block)
TT>Jack>KND>PPG>Ben10>Dexter>Fosters>Eds>Courage
Teem Totams. Ben 10, and Foster's
Take all 3
I can easily get rid of Ben 10.
Ben 10. Cant stand it.
>Courage as the worst cartoon
>Teen Titans as the best cartoon
Teen Titans is fine but it's overrated as fuck by this board (and let's be real, it's due to it's porn). It isn't the best cape cartoon of it's time because Justice League Unlimited exists and it's not the best take on DC's young superheroes because Young Justice exists.
Fuck Foster's Home. I never liked it.
>Ben 10
That Fox Kids bullshit was considered anything other than a toy commercial?
Courage. It's so forgettable that even CN themselves forgot it happened.
>Teen Titans
It's overrated and without it TTG wouldn't exist but nah.
>Ed, Edd and Eddy
Nah
>Courage
Nah
>Dexter's Laboratory
Nah
>Ben 10
Yeah, you can go
>Foster
It's not worse than Ben 10
>Samurai Jack
Nah
>Powerpuff Girls
Similar situation to Teen Titans but nah
>KND
It's not worse than Ben 10
So, Ben 10.
>and without it TTG wouldn't exist but nah.
Technically Teen Titans GO! is adaptating a comicbook, so it might still exist, just in another form.
Knd no regrets
You contrarian fucks. Literally what is the problem with OG Ben 10?
It was worshipped by these faggots in the past, so now it's time to pretend it sucks. It's just the Yea Forums life cycle
Compared to everything else on that list, except maybe KND, I'd get rid of Ben 10. I never really liked it that much anyway.
Ben 10
You absolute fucking retard OP
Teen Titans is NOT a Cartoon Network show, it is a DC show. Same parent company but completely separate line of shows that had more to do with Kids WB than anything
Remove Ben 10 and replace either Foster's or KND with Billy and Mandy.
Dexter maybe KND.
CN included Teen Titans on their 25th Anniversary Video and they didn't acknowledge some shows OP listed.
>Golden Age
>Has shows from the 00s
Just because nuCN is retarded doesn't mean you have to be too
Teen titans. This is the objective right answer.
The 2000s were the golden age of cartoons in general you moron. See also
>shit taste detected
Not OP tho, also no u.
I'm pretty sure Ben 10 started some time after everything else, possibly after some of them finished. So it's the odd one out.
Ben 10, it has the same novelty as Teen Titans with the american anime style but not as good. Why keep it?
All that 2000s ever did was produce creatively bankrupt knock-offs of already creatively bankrupt anime
If it weren't for Rolf, I'd say Ed, Edd, & Eddy.
Actually, even with Rolf this show is unredeemable.
Yeah, I recall with clarity enjoying Dexter's Lab, Samurai Jack, etc. as a child but having an image of Ben 10 being for little kids and appealing to their immature sensibilities.
>The whole world knows anime >>> cartoons, and the only time cartoons got genuinely good was when they gave up trying something different and decided to copy anime.
If anything is creatively bankrupt, it's what passes for "cartoons" this decade.
Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Done.
The 2000s were the beginning of the death of good animation
The 90s were the last good era, with the 30s and 40s being the only true golden age
Early 90s were literally 80s toy commercials part 2, late 90s were a very poor prototype of the 00s. Not even gonna comment on that 30s/40s nostalgiafag delusion
Until the mid-2000s cartoons just got better and better, then they suddenly fell off a cliff. Late 2000s was the beginning of the death of good animation, but nothing earlier than that.
Even the 80s was better than the shit that were the 2000s
The Secret of NIMH and The Land Before Time both say hello
>Late 2000s was the beginning of the death of good animation
No, that would be 2002 - Treasure Planet
It was finally and irreversibly dead in 2004 with Home on the Range
>movies
Hate to break it to you user, but animated movies have always been the same creatively bankrupt, overproduced, mass-marketed shit. TV series are where it's always been at
see
>late 90s were a very poor prototype of the 00s
No, late 90s/early 2000s (i stopped counting on 2003 where Teen Titans premiered and the American-Anime era started) was a great decade for cartoons.
>Ren And Stimpy
>SpongeBob
>Ed, Edd and Eddy
>Batman TAS
>Dexter's Laboratory
>Powerpuff Girls
>Superman TAS
>Rocko's Modern Life
>Justice League
>The Angry Beavers
>Johnny Bravo
>CatDog
>list of literal shit
Now would you mind naming a single good show from the 90s user? Here, I'll even help with an example: Courage
(Also arbitrarily including some 00s series is cheating but it's not like it helps your case)
Never really liked Ben 10. Always found it kind annoying.
But,oh boy....Foster was a terrible, stupid ans fucking ugly cartoon.
>TV series are where it's always been at
yeah, sure
How the fuck did you get from TV >>> movies to all TV series are good?
Jesus Christ, the cartoon part of Yea Forums is awful.
I will go back to the comic part, at least it's fun when something is bad (see the Heroes In Crisis threads). MAKE THE SPLIT, MAKE THE SPLIT, MAKE THE SPLIT.
KND>Samurai Jack>Teen Titans>Dexters>Powerpuff>Courage>Ben10>EdEddEddy>fosters
3 good, 3 bad, and 3 childhood tier but didnt turn out that great on rewatch.
>having such garbage taste
Ben 10 was like a decade after all of that.
TV animation can never be as good as theatrical animation
You are delusional if you think otherwise
TV animation from any era will forever be inferior to theatrical animation from the 1990s and prior
And yet there is not a single good show made after the 90s
While the average TV cartoon may indeed be a bit worse than the average animated movie (thanks Canada) TV series' peaks are so much higher it's sad really. There are virtually no good animated movies, let alone great ones.
nice b8
Not bait, Ed Edd & Eddy is legitimately trash.
I have a theory that KND influenced modern cartoons to have the "wacky and silly kid's cartoon now has a serious overarching plot". So if one had to never exist maybe it would be the best choice.
>There are virtually no good animated movies
pre-90s Don Bluth and Ralph Bakshi are laughing at you
I think Teen Titans had more influence. Especially on how Steven Universe/Adventure Time/Star Vs try to have a 50/50 split between comedy and drama.
you'd have to erase Teen Titans, Ben 10, and Samurai Jack as well for that to work
>And yet there is not a single good show made after the 90s
>W.I.T.C.H.
>Avatar
>Teen Titans
>the 2003 TMNT series
>Megas XLR
>Samurai Jack
>Kim Possible
>Duck Dodgers
>The Batman
>What's with Andy?
That's 10 cartoons that are better than ANY before or since (with the partial exception of Gravity Falls).
Face it user, the 90s are overrated as fuck. Early-to-mid 2000s were where it was really at.
It has very lively animation, really great dialogue, and cool plots. It's the greatest cartoon of all time.
>weeb garbage
>weeb garbage
>weeb garbage that is also an insult to classic American comic
>edgelord shit
>hipster weeb shit
>weeb shit
>inferior to most Disney shows that came before it, only remembered for being fap bait
>inferior Looney Tunes incarnation
>infinitely inferior to Batman TAS
>Canadian shit
you need to go back
>golden age
>i.e., when I was a kid
Personally I'd choose Foster's Home, never really appealed to me when I was younger
>Batman TAS
>X-Men TAS
>Animaniacs
>Freakazoid!
>DuckTales
>DarkWing Duck
>Gargoyles
>Rescue Rangers
>The Tick
>King of the Hill
>TaleSpin
>The Real Ghostbusters (first 3 seasons)
>early Simpsons
>The Incredible Hulk (1st season)
go to hell
what else would you expect from a brainlet?
Foster's Home or Ben 10.
Ben 10 or Fosters. I never liked Ben 10 and Fosters ended up getting pretty grating later down the line, although it started off strong. Surprised that Billy and Mandy isn't in that image, even though the last season kind of wore thin I'd say it's better than either Ben 10 or Fosters and it'd make the list a bit harder.
To the spergs in this thread, the period of animation from 1989 to 2006 was the golden age, golden ages can span more than one decade and don't fit neatly into perfect 10 year boxes. The early 90s had a lot of 80s carryover, and 2004-2006 was a slight dip down in terms of new shows, although old shows that were still premiering new episodes were good, but it didn't really end until 2007. That's when the economy imploded and made animation more cost-prohibitive, so TV networks either tried to push shitty cheap live action shows or spam Canadian flash animation. Everything that wasn't Pixar started to adapt garbage 3D revivals of classic franchises too, which turned theatrical animation into a dumpster fire.
>2004-2006 was a slight dip down in terms of new shows
2004 was the peak of Western animation, particularly in terms of new shows. 2006 doesn't even compare in that sense.
Agreed on basically everything else though
Dexters lab is shit.
kys
How about Foster's Home and Ben 10
>2004 was the peak of Western animation, particularly in terms of new shows
What new shows?
W.I.T.C.H., Megas, and The Batman all came out in 2004. ATLA was the last great cartoon of the 2000s, and it started in early 2005.
2005 was the transition year, when you basically only got great new seasons of existing shows. So 2004 was the peak.
>contrarian
Nobody on Yea Forums ever cared about ben 10 until the last few years when the zoomers like yourself who watched it when they were little kids started posting.
fpbp
knd. i could never really get into it
I could easily drop up to 7 of these shows and never look back. But if I had to choose only one it would probably be Ben 10.
Foster's. Way too many annoying characters, and Bloo was a dispicable cunt.
You know, for a show so fondly remembered, Fosters has tons of episodes that everybody fucking hates.
Literal brainlet taste.
Ben 10, KND, Fosters, Courage, Dexter, Edd, Powerpuff, Teen Titans, Jack.
In that order.
See I don't mind people saying Ben 10 cause it's a 7/10 show compared to a lot of 8 or 9 out of 10 shows but when Foster's is one of the options how can you not pick it?
Most people agree that Foster's started out pretty great, then became increasingly hit or miss and eventually torpedoed in terms of quality. In contrast, Ben 10 is a show where a large number of people just outright don't like it. IMO between the two it's kind of a tossup.
If I were doing this purely based on my enjoyment and not based on my own subjective views of relative quality I would choose Ed, Edd, n Eddy since it was the show enjoyed the least of anything here. But for whatever reason still think it's higher quality than Ben 10.
Ben 10 < Dexter < Fosters < PPG < TT < KND, Samurai Jack < Courage < EEnE
Honestly, though, I could just off the first four and be fine.
>he didn't enjoy EEnE
That's just sad, user.
Ben Ten or KND. The former was bland, the latter is hard to rewatch as an adult and find the similar enjoyment in.
I mostly just remember it being weird and gross and mean-spirited but not in the ways I liked as a kid. I also remember really hating SpongeBob. I just wasn't tuned into the same wavelength as my peers.
This
I could've lived without Fosters. I liked it and watched it quite frequently, but I wouldn't say it shaped my life in a way where I'd be a different person without it. Each other show I have a personal connection to at different point in my life. Fosters, it really only helped establish the early bearings for my hots for redheaded girls.
Mr Enter?
>Technically Teen Titans GO! is adaptating a comicbook
No user.
The Teen Titans Go Book was nothing like GO and based off of the original show.
EEnE is pretty objectively higher quality than Ben 10 in some areas, and I'm not just throwing around the term "objectively". Animation-wise in particular it's leaps and bounds ahead.
Old cartoon network was piece of boring unwatchable crap. It was a torture to watch it as a kid when I got nothing better to do. Samurai jack was the only tolerable cartoon during that time.
KND.
That show never did it for me.
I appreciate knd more for it's world building and creativity. Ben10 can go die.
I think we can all agree that Dexter, or Fosters are the best choices to let go.
No because I still loved mean-spirited cartoons. I just felt EEnE wasn't worth my time. I loved Duckman. And a lot of the short-lived adult cartoons that ran on broadcast networks at the time got all their humor from shitting all over the MCs and I liked those a lot too.
I don't know why I didn't and still don't like Spongebob. It just doesn't click for me.
not to mention there were some absolutely terrible episodes
This
Started out great, but Bloo was written to be even more a bitch. Fuck his immunity, he doesn't learn a thing
Fosters was legit terrible. At least Ben 10 had some decent moments and Gwen.
There was episodes that wasn't absolutely terrible? It was such a boring and stale show with horrible ending
Go check literally any site for the animation ghetto and renaissance. It’s widely accepted that mid nineties to mid two thousands was a golden age.
>Gwen was a godsend
I honestly don't trust the opinioms of people who mostly see a cartoon as fapping material, even more if the person is a pedophile.
Fuck off you moral wizard, a good dicking has never hurt anyone yet.
Well it’s hard to see Ben10 as anything else because that was all it really had to offer lmao
Ben 10 or Foster's
I hated having to watch Ben 10 just to make sure I wouldn't miss the new episodes of actually good cartoons back when I was a kid
Teen Titans fags are legitimately delusional.
>picking TT over Fosters or B10
Cry some more, Frankiefag
What coincidence! I don't trust the opinions of the morally outraged.
Personally, I'd boot KND, but from a somewhat objective standpoint it should probably be Ben10.
It's far from the best thing in the image but still ahead of Ben 10 and Foster's.
People are unironically implying it's better than the legitimately daring Courage or more iconic than Dexter and PPG. It's not, it's a middling DCA cartoon, not comparable to the greats roughly on par with fucking The Batman.
Don't give a shit about either.
and roughly on par*
Oh you're talking about the people that are listing out all the shows in rank, yeah some of those orders are retarded.
fpbp
Imagine being incapable of understanding people have different tastes
Generic toy action shows have always been lame as hell unless you’re 8 or uber autist
with unlikable characters
FPBP
The only reason anyone could rate TT as highly as some people in this thread do is nostalgia. Other than the bad anime art-style, the show didn't do anything new or interesting. The DCAU was doing everything TT did earlier and more earnestly.
>DCAU
Now THERE's something overrated by nostalgia!
Newsflash user: the DCAU is shit, especially compared to TT.
Dexter is mediocre at best. PPG is shit. A show doesn't even need to come close to TT level to beat that crap.
Courage is pretty good but doesn't even crack the top 10, unlike The Batman btw.
Is that you WITCHfag? You’re hiding behind slightly less insufferable opinions today
t. born in 1997
I only like Ben 10 for the alien monsters. Besides that, I don't like the show.
I want to have sex with Four-Arms.
Easily PPG. I'm suprised many people on Yea Forums don't like Ben 10. It was my favorite show when I was young
>posting a reddit meme
That's when CN's golden age was, you absolute retard.
ben 10
Teen Titans was a mediocre wannabe anime that people only really give a shit about because of the waifus.
Fosters easily
The Golden age was already over when ben 10 debutes
Thank you, I'm glad I'm not in the minority. My little brother and I were both in the target demo when it started, but he liked it and I always hated it.
Literal brainlet. TT is the worst show on the OP on aesthetic alone.
I fucking hate this shit.
(One has to go)
Seriously fuck off. Probably made by some 30 something ooga booga woman
I was let down by JLU so I assumed Teen Titans wouldn't hold up. Then I started watching it again and it's not flawless, but way better than I though it would be.
Trying to compare them to Young Justice is apples and oranges.
Why don't we just decide when the golden age was?
strawpoll.me
strawpoll.me
strawpoll.me
The golden age stretches from checkerboard to the middle of CN City.
Your Poll is a bad mediator for opinions and is meant to cause argument.
cringe
Samurai Jack I guess?
He's right though. If you're primary reason for liking something is because you can beat off to it, your opinion doesn't mean shit.
Why?
>What's with Andy?
>not Kids From 402
The latter was far superior and you know it.
The 2005-06 school year was basically the end of Late Millennial culture, and the start of Early Gen Z or Zoomer kid culture.
Naruto and Ben 10 debuted, High School Musical and Hannah Montana debuted during the second half of the school year, Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans ended, Kids WB and Disney Channel went through dramatic changes, Cartoon Network city ended, Yu gi Oh ended, Original Pokemon voice cast left(Veronica Taylor, Eric Stuart), XBOX 360 debuted, 6th gen gaming's prime was ending.
Overall a lot of things changed regarding kid culture that season.
Because you're not being reasonable, literally thinking with your dick. Lol. Why do you think porn is considered the lowest genre? I mean, it has its function and it fullfills it, but that's about it. This is not a jab at porn by the way. It's just, you can't exactly blame a chimpanzee for not being able to evolve to a human level, you just recognize it as a fact.
>All those retards picking Ben 10 over KND
Courage, Ed, Edd n Eddy and Dexter was trash for young edgelords
You didn’t explain why liking shows with your dick is less valid than any other reason at all. How come you don’t ask anyone else why they like the show before determining if their opinion is valid? What if I only like Ben 10 because it has the best toys, for instance? Why is my opinion only valid if I like the show in the right way, and who decides what the right way is?
Eds is fucking garbage
Generally, there are no objective criteria for rating works of fiction, but there are some widely accepted ones. In this regard, the quality of story (once again, not really objective), the quality of drawing, the quality of animation, the way characters are written, the VA work, etc. If a person doesn't really care about any of that and likes something for purely emotional reasons ("I cap fap to it", "the toys are cool", "it's epic") then they're, of course, entitled to their opinion and they have all the right to have it. Hell, a lot of grown-ass normies like the MCU for these seemingly childish reasons. It's just that this opinion is not really going to be seen as particularly constructive by people with less emotional criteria.
Yeah but isn’t saying that you like a show for the waifu essentially saying that you enjoy the art and characters? If it’s a whole fap show like totally spies, then it’s also an endorsement for the premise, setting, and writing as a whole.
Ed Edd & Eddy is and always has been white trash shit
Replace Teen Titans with Billy and Mandy and Kill Ben 10, FAG
this
Fosters. Done and done.
Easily Ben Ten, I never considered it part of that period, it was post
Kids from Room 402 has about one funny joke per episode.
What's with Andy (season 1 at least) has about one unfunny joke per episode.
That's to say nothing of the episode plots and even characterization (to the extent you can have the latter in shows like this).
There's a reason that despite its enforced obscurity (thanks USA) WWA still has scattered DVDs in various countries, while 402 got jack shit.
Not everyone who disagrees with you is baiting you. Ed Edd & Eddy is annoying as fuck to watch. Couldn't stand it when it was still new on the air, or any time since then. My retarded cousins loved it, so that says something.
Shit taste. WWA was formulatic as fuck, while Kids from 402 often was borderline social commentary and had diverse cast of different character archetypes that each were given time to shine.
I'm not hiding behind jack shit. Of course W.I.T.C.H. is the best cartoon in existence by many light-years, but other shows deserve some love too (well only a few actually, most of them are overrated and deserve more hate).
The ONLY thing "formulaic" about WWA is that every episode features something that could vaguely be termed a prank. In the same way that every episode of 402 features something you could call baby's first social commentary (with huge emphasis on "baby's first").
There is literally nothing else predictable about WWA. You could not tell if Andy would "win" an episode until the very end, you could not tell what type of prank it would be or any of the details, fuck it you could not even tell what characters/setting the episode would feature. Different combinations every time.
Only caveat is that this applies to season 1 and mostly 2, but even WWA fans know season 3 is shit (thanks Canada).
By comparison, 402 is vastly more formulaic, in fact the only major thing that changes is the exact nature of the "kid-friendly adult problem" that each kid in the class faces in an episode.
You're letting your nostalgia fool you user, the majority of episodes began with a flashforward of Andy running away, leading to a "you're probably wondering how I got here" narration, so oftentimes, you already knew Andy was fucked.
>By comparison, 402 is vastly more formulaic, in fact the only major thing that changes is the exact nature of the "kid-friendly adult problem" that each kid in the class faces in an episode.
Not exactly. I admit a lot of episodes were primarily about Nansy or Jessy, but it still found the time to focus on different kids in different episodes, so there was no clear 100% protagonist, which I always liked. Plus some of them were relatively ambitious in having two separate storylines per episode, which WWA never really attempted.
Agree Ben 10 is clearly the weakest
I loved Ben 10 as a kid but it's objectively the weakest show in the OP by a significant margin. It's certainly not bad, but it doesn't even compare with the others.
>the majority of episodes began with a flashforward of Andy running away, leading to a "you're probably wondering how I got here" narration, so oftentimes, you already knew Andy was fucked.
Well yes, but the point of flashforwards is to hook the viewer *without* spoiling anything. Even a piss-poor writer can do that.
As for knowing that he was fucked, quite a few eps actually pulled a fakeout with that, where in fact Andy ended up "winning" the episode after the point where the flashforward was.
>Not exactly. I admit a lot of episodes were primarily about Nansy or Jessy, but it still found the time to focus on different kids in different episodes, so there was no clear 100% protagonist, which I always liked.
I didn't say anything about the protagonist changing - that doesn't and shouldn't matter much as long as the character being focused on is interesting. What's far more important is that every episode doesn't follow the same general template, which 402 does with its "adult problems for kids" thing.
Plus pretty much all of the kids (and other characters) were very cliched/stereotyped. WWA did do this with minor characters, but major ones like Andy, Danny, Mush, or even Jen were in fact well-defined and interesting.
>Plus some of them were relatively ambitious in having two separate storylines per episode, which WWA never really attempted.
Actually this was one of the few things season 2 arguably did better than 1 (and 3), because it had quite a few episodes with B-plots.
Would get rid of both Courage and Foster's without batting an eye
What do you think is the average age of people writing articles about cartoons for internet sites?
Fosters without a doubt
Alright let's play the hard mode version
I'm gonna say Ben 10 but that was also the one show I didn't really watch out of all of them.
I could still ditch 5 of these without a second thought. But Teen Titans I guess. I enjoyed it more than the 4 others I'd drop along with it but it hasn't made a huge impact on my life and I don't think it's as ambitious or high quality as the others.
KND can be forgotten
Dexter easy, I never got the appeal.
Codename KND. That shit was cringe. Every other show here I have enjoyed.
Samurai Jack > Ed boys > Courage >> Teen Titans > Dexter > Ben 10 = Powerpuff Girls > Foster's >>> KND
It said pick one you autist.
Also, what did the eds do to you? I understand fosters to an extent, but why the eds?
Still Courage
winnar
This
Never liked it
Teen Titans, fight me
Fosters probably it wasn't very original or KND I never got into the kids vs adults plot
Courage. As much as I loved it as a kid, the impact of removing it from CN's history is less than if you got rid of the others
it was alright, but it's the weak one out of all of these
ez
KND
Teen Titans Go is a product of the original. It exists to make fun of it.
I could get rid of 3 and be okay.
