That movie sucks my whole dick

>this list

So not much?

>not spider-man 2
booo
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

>Birdman
>Superhero movie
Cute

Best of the big two:

Superman
Superman 2
Iron Man
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
Spider-Man 2
Logan
Spiderverse

I'll just show myself out

Fuck yeah it is. Tied with Incredibles, though.

No, but it's pretty fucking good.

Why would you consider this movie good?

Because they have taste unlike you.

story is good
visuals are good
humor is good
characters are good

Lego Batman is meh

>why is x good?
>because x is good

didn't they teach you how to write in grade school?

Movie has too much characters for it small running time. It's overstuffed and most action scenes lack tension.

if you can't grasp basic wisdom it's not my fault

Attached: b0c.jpg (500x375, 25K)

Does anyone else think that they should have included some lines when SP//dr gets destroyed like

NOIR: It's just a machine, it can be rebuilt.
PENI: My grandpa built this! It's all I have left of him...
[something cheesy about love, memories, etc]

Idk that was one of the few parts I took some issue with because it wasn't immediately obvious why she was so upset

The story was well written, the humor was funny and the animation was incredible.

>Movie has too much characters for it small running time
not really, the movie never loses focus on the important characters, most of the other ones are for the sake of comedy relief (noir, ham and penis) or to be henchemen for the bad guys
as for the lack of tension I disagree but that's more subjective I guess. Everytime Prowler was out there it was pretty impactful.

Agreed. Hinging an entire plot on the Joker's ironic lust for Batman's hatred was not a good idea at all. It ruined the climax by making the Joker totally tangential. If Joker had done something TRULY despicable to earn Batman's hate it might have made a modicum of sense, but it's for kids so

no, stop playing gay games about anime boys making out with mickey mouse

No

How dare you accuse me of playing Kingdom Hearts. I only have mild autism

if not, it comes pretty damn close

hell no. the stupid spider-verse stuff weighs down a wholesome origin story.

oh, I know exactly your type, tiger

The movie wants to be emotional with all Spideys talking about their past and saying goodbye to Miles etc etc but there's barely any development. The worst part is the Peter and Mary Jane sub-plot.

Uncle Aaron and Miles relationship was so much dang better in this version. Not to mention Aaron looked absolutely cool. My favorite design of the movie

Attached: DvCFHAkWsAI0DE9.jpg large.jpg (1536x2048, 554K)

>The movie wants to be emotional with all Spideys talking about their past and saying goodbye to Miles
not really, it's only truly emotional with Peter and Gwen, with the rest they're friendly and cute as they leave, which is alright because they don't have weight on the plot but as comedic relief the audience already loved them enough.

I need to start working on my subs game so you can see what "greatest superhero film ever made" really looks like.

Attached: hydrozagadka.jpg (600x338, 27K)

Gwen has zero character development aside of "my best friend died, look at this 10 seconds long flashback to understand". For Peter, the movie assumes we already know everything about him beforehand. But it doesn't work because we see him breaking with Mary Jane and turning into a cynical hobo in another 10 seconds long flashback. It's too much stuff for a 2 hours movie. And then there are the villain's motivations... ANOTHER 10 seconds long flashback.
Almost everything in this movie is made using short flashbacks.

Agree. The spider-verse should've been in a sequel, not in the first movie.

Yawn

But this is the Robin hood. The Black Knight.
Come on user, I know you heard about the last fight.

It's not even the greatest animated superhero film.

Too much, big lists like this only work in an image format. You get 4 out of 10 for effort.

Except for the first Superman, that isn't a bad list.

Pretty much

bump

Oh you mean the 29 minutes of heath ledger. Is that what you mean by the dark knight

I wonder if he even saw birdman

You got a okay dick don’t let him talk you cock down dude

So I see basic comprehension is no longer a part of the education system now.

I think it's somewhere between minions and thor 2 in quality.
It's unironically really bad movie and I think you people should stop acting like eating shit is normal. It's not.

If judged without any consideration for the time it was made, Spiderverse would be pretty high on the list. But on a sliding scale with consideration for innovation and lasting impact, it would be a three horse race between Donner Superman, Burton Batman, and Raimi Spiderman. These were all hits and the templates for entire decades of movies.

i liked it but that's an incredibly low bar

Watchmen is better than all of those but Spider-Verse is better than Watchmen fighte me faggots.

Dark Knight and Spider-Man 2 are better.

I want to hug Peni

Gwen should have been replaced by Mayday Parker to give Peter Parker more of a reason to have kids.

No

Into the trash.

The Dark Knight, Iron Man (1), are both better than it.

>Mayday

You going to upset mayday fans for that.

Attached: gwen.png (500x500, 235K)

Dumb Nolanfag

Theres nothing signifiicant about any of them so thats not really much of an accomplishment.
This might have not been so popular without the black spiderman though.

For real meme value you should’ve put infinity war at the top.

Save Mayday for the sequel. She can have a rivalry with Gwen.
If Mayday is popular, have her meet Ultimate Jessica Drew in the sequel.

I certainly think so. It was weird going in with no real expectations other than seeing an actually animated superhero movie in theaters, that looked like it might be fun. Then coming away with one of the most tightly structured origin stories, that doesn't get bogged down by being an origin story. And is also a gratuitous dimension straddling crossover.

This is bait

>>/r/eddit

>hell no. the stupid spider-verse stuff weighs down a wholesome origin story.

The Spider-Verse stuff adds to Miles' origin. The death of RIPeter, the sad life of Peter B. Parker, the isolation of Gwen, and everyone else contributes to Miles' transformation as Spider-Man. It demonstrates the incredible weight of the mantle, as well as what it represents to the user and the community around him.

Regardless of the crossover, this is still a Miles Morales movie. The movie begins with Miles and ends with Miles. Miles vs. Kingpin wouldn't have been as satisfying if all the other Spiders were there, but the movie wisely sent them home before the final bout.

Fuck no.
Outside of visuals it did nothing new, original, or ground breaking. The writing was so paint by numbers any tension was nonexistent.

The watchmen movie sucked ass, and nobody remembers it enough to actually copy its one schtick of "lets set everything in slow-mo to a greatest hits of the 60s soundtrack".

>60s
Nena is from the eighties you philistine.

these characters were completely unnecessary

Should have been a miles and peter movie
I can forgive the others for being background characters and inconsequential but gwen too up way too much screentime than needed just to get romance for the tumblr crowd going.

Attached: os8s2823.jpg (2721x1733, 911K)

Yeah pretty much.

Can you stop posting this shit? Yes the movie was great. We don't need a thread everyday talking about how good it is.

Also here's hoping we get a Superior Spider-man movie soon.

Even fuckin /r9k actually writes something of value when they discuss women, you absolute retard. if you can't even convince people that your favorite movie is good how do you expect them to agree? Oh I know, keep saying it enough times and eventually normies will agree

It's good movie though, don't know what your problem is.

If they weren't there, they wouldn't have been able to set up the sequel

Anyone know another place to get this steelbook version with both 4k & 3D?
Only see it on ebay, and it's way too much. Hate how there's so many blu ray editions

Attached: s-l1600.jpg (1146x1425, 355K)

>If they weren't there, they wouldn't have been able to set up the sequel
You already have peter from the other dimension to establish there being a multiverse.
The after credits scene sets up the sequel.

You're dense and obstinate and there is no point in talking to you.

why do men suck this movie off so much?

Why do people keep bringing up this film?
It's dogshit.

>The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 (2012)
>The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 (2013)
ok, this is epic

This is true

lol watchfag

its not even the best animated super hero movie ever

Attached: that's incredible.gif (245x175, 447K)

it was good. just finished it.
Felt like it can compete with Pixar.
but gwen and miles in this movie I really didnt feel them gel, for some reason she did at first but when revealed she was spider gwen, it just didnt work. so in the sequel I wouldnt focus on gwen and miles. I mean, you could tell the actor for miles was not gelling with gwen. That's my two cents.

joker

Into the Spider-Verse is superior to The Incredibles

Attached: puny humans.png (253x313, 172K)

There *should* be a better Superman movie. It's good but has its flaws. It's baffling that no one has been able to top it in 40 years since it's not even the highest bar to reach.

Not even top twenty, senpai

Save Mayday for a better series where she has a chance of being more than moral support for a worse character, possibly with more than 10 minutes of screen time

I think they would have been fine if they hadn't been included in the trailers. It would have felt like a fun surprise. Instead we all knew they were coming and expected them to get more screen time.

Okay in what way are they necessary to set up a sequel which the post credits scene does?

Well, no, is a bad bad movie
>gary stu
>""surprisingly a multidimensional spider was in the same place as me"""
>""""I fell a week earlier in your universe and without any legal problem I falsified documentation for a false identity and I got money for uniform and documents and many other thing IN 7 DAYS, IN 7 DAYS""""
>no ONE mention of Daredevil

"surprisingly a magical spider was in the same place as me" is the origin story of every single Spider-Man you doof

For a movie that people call a love letter to Spiderman mythos they sure didn't give a fuck about them
>Yo, what if Peter Parker met a Gwen Stacy from another dimension that lost her own Peter? And then what if neither of them gave a fuck about any of it?

Because using a million post-credit scenes and to set up everything and endless decompression is how the MCU went to shit in the first place.
This way we get a full Spider-verse movie from the get go AND a Miguel movie as well. It won't have to turn out like the MCU because these films actually use their allotted screen-time instead of making the same movie on repeat.

Hi Gwenshipper. Still seething?

a spider, not a multidimensional spider that could be in a Trillion places in the multiverse, the spiders that bit other spider-men were always in the lab where Peter/other versions were, but here that multiversal spider was in a subway surprisingly, WITH MILES, that's so stupid

Shipper? I'm an MJ man, I'm simply arguing that stripping Peter and Gwen of their shared tragedy simply makes the latter's existence damn pointless, unless they truly only need her as Miles' walking flashlight, in which case my point that this movie barely gives a damn about Spider-Man still stands

>Because using a million post-credit scenes and to set up everything and endless decompression is how the MCU went to shit in the first place.
But they don't need a million, they need the one that already exists

The one for Miguel that sets up Miguel. The others are introduced in the movie itself. You are again just being obstinate.

From an earlier thread:
>>Peter B. cares about his family and is Spider-Prime
>>Gwen is a agile and a teenager with angst
>>Peter Noir is tough and fights crime
>>Peni is smart and happy
>>Peter Porker is funny and friendly

>They all modeled what Miles need to take on, while encouraging him to come into his own as a Spider.

The one for Miguel sets up that there are other Spider-people from other universes timeline-jumping, which means new adventures, that's a sequel. I wasn't the other "obstinate" user, i intervened because i have no idea what you're talking about

That's not what that scene was at all. It's specific for Miguel, not just "expect a sequel with multiverse stuff". Without the context of Spider-verse it doesn't even make sense.
You're all just asking to stretch what turned out to be a very good movie into several mediocre ones at this point in some vain hope that it'll be better because there'll be less to care about.

>Without the context of Spider-verse it doesn't even make sense.
And where are you getting that from? Peter "B" would still be there, it'd still be a multiverse movie. Anons argued Gwen should be gone too but personally i think she should stay. But then again as i said in other posts i have other issues with Gwen herself, but that's a different matter

That would require sincerity and optimism, user, nobody has those anymore

>PRÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖH :-DDDD

Attached: Spider-verse-prowler.jpg (1200x600, 49K)

yes. they could have

it was a Peter and miles movie still.

>Also here's hoping we get a Superior Spider-man movie soon.
fuck no, we got milf otto I dont need Dan slotts abortion of a character.

when it was close to the super collider where miles was working on his art, yeah it all tied together. just where the spider came from or when is another story.

It's easily top 5 super hero movies, it's honestly odd seen as how all they did was write a compelling family and a sincere kid as the core. I'm almost afraid to praise it more because the second half isn't as strong and the movie still has flaws because the contrarian police will catch up to me and I'm still in awe of the experience. Waiting on a blueray release or something to watch it again.
>hell no. the stupid spider-verse stuff weighs down a wholesome origin story.
I weirdly ( because lol miles ) agree, the writing felt very genuine and it probably would have been able to stand on its own. Also the voice acting was phenomenal all around except for the designated spanish lines, mom really wasn't given much to say.

Phantasm is overrated
