Yeah, for too long they've just been generic criminals that exist solely to casually job to the hero of the issue. Coates actually remembered that Thunderball is a genius nuclear physicist, and that Bulldozer was a veteran. Piledriver doesn't really have anything to work off of, but at least he's giving him more of a personality.

And the Zemo broke Hydra Cap out too, also in Punisher, but he got recaught.

they are some of my favorite villains tbqh. They come off as just big bruisers who can go against Thor but they actually have some complexity to them and some of the real heart.

my main complaint is Selene doesn't seem like anything besides a convenient plot device (not a problem solely from Coates).

neither does the first, the trail of motion of the legs (going side to side) doesn't follow the way her body is struck(going from bottom up)

How did you miss that the president pardoned him, so that's done and done. There's a difference between getting an official order to free someone and simply walking away and shooting your way into a prison with the chance of dying before you even reach your target.

What else is there to show? Selene is enough of a threat to entire super teams, now she ambushes a guy who isn't that powerful to begin with who is also caught completely unarmed and unaware, you know damn well how that's going to end up. Even Normal Steve admitted that he's a bit in over his head trying to take her head-on when he rescues Sharon.
