say something nice about him
Generator Rex
A great and really underrated at the time action show
Plus I really want to fuck Rex
Rex was a fun character with interesting powers. Unfortunately his rogues gallery and supporting cast sucked.
Generator Rex was a good idea/gimmick that felt directionless. CN had the legos, but ultimately built nothing with it
They weren't all bad. Van Kleiss was a fun villain, but they did kind of fumble his use not long into the second season where he got cured, and then just somehow regained his powers. Breach was the only good minion while Biowulf and Skalamander barely got any development, and then guys like were pretty entertaining to watch. The final bosses were certainly the weakest, but mainly because they were literally a one-off mention in season 1, and then didn't become a presence until the last 4 or so episodes of the final season where they just acted like discount robots monsters from a Kaiju show.
MAKE WAY
They should have kept that one guy around for a while longer and have him and Biowulf be rivals for Van Kleis's attention.
Great show, with fun aesthetics, a nice tone and superb soundtrack. But the writers kind of fucked up with Black knight, she wasn't a compelling antagonist. I think it ended at an acceptable time for the series, though I do wish that Rex got an episode in Omniverse like the Secret Saturdays did
The furry one that got axed within a minute of appearing and then got revived in the final season? Yea, it was pretty ridiculous how fast the new guy was "killed" before we even got to see him do anything.
He got revived at some point. He was in a weird state of turning to stone and normal over and over again. He was out for revenge but I don't really remember what happened to him after that.
Complete bad ass
I respect that they left him an amnesiac but still managed to retain the key parts of the character
I almost didn't watch Rex because without watching it, it looked like a bunch of pandering archetypes thrown together (Wise talking animal sidekick, sexy but reserved scientist, assassin with a heart of gold, hero with mysterious power but also amnesia, etc).
This was a much deeper show than I was expecting. The status quo would change and stay changed and meaningful. The characters got fleshed out. They could have an ongoing plot with stakes, but could also have a lighthearted story episode that doesn't feel out of place. And if you stay with the first few episodes, well written.
But my favorite thing about it is I've seen and read a lot of apocalypse stories. Most of them fall into two categories:
1. The outbreak, no one knows what's going on, no one is prepared to face the outbreak, the story becomes about our world colliding with something that could end it, usually facing denial and uninformed reactions that make it work.Society hasn't started to collapse.
2. Society has collapsed. The lawless land is Darwin everywhere and it's up to our heroes to face off with warlords and bring justice and order to the world.
This is the only apocalypse show I've ever seen that takes place during the period of time where society still functions but the world is experiencing the apocalypse, trying to manage it, for the most part keeping it at bay, but realistically losing ground every second to a complete collapse of society.
Poor Kiev.
Anyone else liked that Rex was ruthless as fuck for a teen hero. Rex wanted to make sure Quarry straight up died after he surrendered and was surprised when he was alive again when he saw him. I can't see any other teen hero doing that. We need more heroes like Rex.
More heroes need to slice their main villain in half.
why can't they put this on hulu or netflix
My only complint about this show was that its ending was too rushed. Otherwise it's great.
Loved this show, always liked the freakish looking EVOs that would pop up
I thought that was an awesome plot point. I totally thought they were going to status quo him at the end.
I recall it, along with other CN shows used to be on Netflix.
I think they had some dispute with Time Warner and most of their show got pulled.
Same with Nick as well.
>If they put the nuclear plant a few miles closer
>say something nice about him
His show ended with a wet fart, but I really wanted Breach to give me a handjob.
I never saw the point in doing that
It's nice his voice actor was able to move past Spy Kids.
before the series came out there was a guide explaining what to do in case of an evo attack, I would have liked if they had explored more that aspect during the series
SEX WITH BREACH
I was legitimately surprised to find out Rex was Juni from Spy Kids.
Now it seems like he's voicing Heatblast in the new Ben 10 Series.
This and the next picture are all I can find of it anymore, does anyone else remember them?
