ITT: Things that should have Netflix Original animated adaptations

This would be perfect for an action show for Netflix.

Could work, what style though, and how much violence would they allow
I remember the books having some gruesome fights

>When Tigerstar gets split from neck to tail by Scourge
Yeah that'd be hard to work around.

Yiff in hell

Sandstorm #1 waifu.

Depends on the age range I guess, are warrior books still popular with kids these days

Fuck, I know it'd probably be shit, but I've always wanted some kind of media adaptation of these books. I've loved them since I was a kid.

Usually Hollywood jumps at movies based on books, why is it taking so long for this one?

Cinderpelt best girl.

Alibaba's film subsidiary bought the movie rights to the books already.

Scourge was such an edgy little shit

Who

It's a chinese film company

whoops, wrong article :P

Why sell to such an obscure company

Alibaba's enormous, just more so in the east than the West. They're a $110 billion dollar conglomerate.

They probably sold it to them because at the time book adaptations with talking animals weren't doing too hot in the US (think Guardians of Ga'Hoole). The authors told their fans back when I was a kid into the books not to get their hopes up for any film adaptations anyway.

Well fuck them

I remember the authors responding to a question about a potential video game by saying they would need a movie for that.

I don't really fucking know why, I think Warriors would make a great video game if put in the right hands, but whatever.

I would kill for an animated adaptation of Animorphs.

I can kind of understand them. Just like Ga'Hoole, it's kind of dark and would be difficult to really market as a film. Talking cats? It must be for little kids! There's sex and violence? It must be for Kero the Wolf! Wait, who IS this for exactly?

It's a political drama with animals. Difficult to market since making a movie is a lot more expensive than writing the books.

I mean the authors are a bunch of british women that probably don't play video games at all. They probably think it needs to be a movie first so people know what the heck Warriors is to play the game. I wouldn't mind making a Warriors-derived RPG as a side project, though.

I don't like it on principle, since cats do not behave like wolves.

I think wolves posed a setting issue. The Warriors series all takes place within an actual geographical area in real life England during the modern day. I can't remember where specifically at the moment.

Point being, having any sizeable packs of wolves running around would've immediately breached into residential areas for food and resulted in twolegs coming in and killing/relocating them all.

Or, more likely "we cannot write cats".

Warriors was pretty good, though Seekers was better

I mean they already move the cats to a more spacious mountainous area by the second series. Something that only I seem to not like due to how I prefer the original sense of culture and mythology. After OS everything feels distinctly different and I don't like it as much and it's not really easy to explain why. And the Erin's tried to write about bears and dogs in other book series they were trying to set up. Despite the spoiler it probably would have been the setting would have been one of the most easy things to fix or make up entirely.

i like cats and they smell good

t. cat

Skadi.

Why was Squirrelflight so underrated bros?

Finally, a place to use this gif other than "how tough are you" or the very rare Freakazoid threads!

I want to read a Warriors comic book.

I remember reading the series in elementary school. My class was obsessed with it, to the point we made our own names and tribes
Good times

Off topic but when is this series going to end?
There have been 6 sub series so far and it seems like everything was being wrapped up but now there is apparently going to be a 7th one.

MAJOR SPOILERS:

Tigerstar and the dark forest are dead and gone ad now sky clan has now returned.

Only loose end I can think of is the cat,Sol, He might be returning for some sort of "final" final battle. I'm just wondering how the author is going to make him threatening again considering the the lack of other threats and the fact that the clans are now even more stronger than ever.

I read these thankfully i didn’t become a furry by some miracle

Reminder that Leafpool is shit

(You)

I can't remember much about it but I read it a lot in middle school. I have the first box set somewhere and I even read that manga or whatever with the orange cat on the cover. Firestar? I remember taking it with me on a school trip.
