I guess I'll post the others, if anyone cares.
Make your very own hank hill.
This one might be controversial today.
Last one I feel like posting. The rest are in the link.
I love it, that's what
Why though, it would be super out of character for Hank to do any sort of theatrical hand movement.
Is it really necessary to complain about controversy that doesn't exist? Jesus.
The use of the term "effeminate", and the fact that he excludes the use from all male characters.
Man, I just wanted to get some (You)s. Not even going to lie. I really wanted to get some comments on the material as a whole. But this kind of stuff is too tame to catch any attention. If you're not using clickbait, then your thread will die.
thanks dude
Dale does "effeminate" gestures, kek
I always find these interesting to see how much thought goes into having designs and character actions stay consistent and how much of that is able to translate into the finished animations. The effeminate comment is worth pointing out because it definitely would be out of character for someone as straight laced and stuffy as Hank to do so under normal circumstances. Compare to how Bobby gesticulates for example. Little things like that can convey a lot about a character. In terms of design keeping things on model with strict guidelines can be useful but the other side is an obsession with staying "on model" can also be stifling. Of course that depends on the show too and what they're trying to express at any given moment and if it's just easier to cheap out with easy shots and minimal movement to stay on model.
I'll help you.
>The use of the term "effeminate", and the fact that he excludes the use from all male characters.
It doesn't mean that no male characters should use those gestures but that all of them shouldn't.
The whole point is that the characters should be emoting through their faces and voices rather than exaggerated gestures.
This is a silly interpretation. The word effeminate is used in the same sentences as "all male characters".
And what do you think "all" means?
>And what do you think "all" means?
Not every, which still means that some should use those gestures. "Any" in that line would mean none of them should do it.
Just look up the definition of "all". You need to.
>hands too small
I'm offended
The meaning of words can shift depending on the situation; all means something different here than it would elsewhere because of the context.
wouldn't you be slapped if you do these motions or keep your hands in the pockets where Hank grew up
It's a good thing you're not on the animation team. You'd just give random dudes effeminate gestures, because "lol, all doesn't mean ALL". And then they'd have to fix your work.
