What's Alan Scott's personality?

Homophobic, aka Based And Redpilled™
Chase Peterson
Clark Kent’s.
Parker Gutierrez
I dunno, why don't you read his comics and tell us?
Jason Fisher
He used to be an adventurer but now he's old and homosexual because we all know his 2 versions will merge sooner or later.
But to be fair a superhero that was a closet homosexual his whole life and even having kids just to finally admit his homosexuality when old is kinda unique and interesting,
Nathan Diaz
well the man's weakness has always been wood so you know, it was there from the start
Tyler Robinson
>Character has an ex-villain wife and two super powered children
>His troubled relationships with his wife and children defined his storylines for 40 years
>"DUUUUUUH Alan Scott being heterosexual was NEVER an important part of his character! We are making him a homosexual because sexuality is completely interchangeable without any significant impact on a character's personality or narrative!"
Goddamn, I hate SJW DC.
Elijah Morris
Michael Perry
And now he sucks dick.
Daniel Ramirez
Alan's corporeal form is composed of living green flame that he holds together through sheer force of will alone.
Joseph Mitchell
it's fine because all of alan scott's fans are old with dementia or already dead so it doesn't matter
Alexander Clark
But I became a fan of Alan Scott during the Geoff Johns JSA run (that's how I got into most of the Golden Age heroes, save for when I was introduced to the GA speedsters during Waid's Flash run).
Ryder Nguyen
Why is his logo so lame? It's literally just a picture of a lantern. It's like he's always wearing some ironic graphic long sleeve from hot topic. It's not like Batman just has a picture of a bat on his costume. What the fuck?
Robert Brooks
Leo Peterson
Early superhero symbols/logos were pretty shit. Superman's original S symbol was awful looking.
Grayson Hernandez
Yeah but Superman and all the others eventually had their costumes tweaked, but that never really happened with Scott.
Joshua Kelly
I guess it's a weird scenario. Alan Scott got updated in the Silver Age into Hal Jordan, who did get a refined and cooler symbol. But that symbol represents the GL Corps, which Alan isn't a part of, so the updated symbol can't be applied to him. And by the time Alan became relevant again, anyway, his status as a Golden Ager became one of his defining traits, so updating his costume wasn't a good idea because they wanted him to look as old fashioned as possible.
Michael Baker
Elder statesman.
Dylan Murphy
But only because he wills to suck dick

Josiah Parker
That's only his business casual anyway. When shit really hits the fan he has the old Kingdom Come armour.
Jace Price
Except they got rid of his gay son. You can't remove a gay character without adding one elsewhere.
Easton Wilson
There's this GLC outfit but it leans way too far in the other direction.
Jose Walker
What exactly do you think Hal Jordan is?
The thing about Superman is that his publication was constant, while most other super-heroes were eventually cancelled, which is why you have guys like Jay Garrick becoming Barry, Alan becoming Hal, robot-torch becoming human-torch and so on.
Justin Sullivan
Gotta gimme some directions since the character has been around a while.
He had this aura of a balance, he would strike Injustice without hesitation and not stop hitting it until the job is done, while also trying to navigate the small troubles with life with a smile.
His most current incarnation in nu-52 made him a bit of a hot head who can self reflect on his actions, but the essence is still there.
Caleb Ramirez
Blake Baker
I actually liked how Earth 2 did it. He was gay but it was only really shown for his first issue since they killed off his boyfriend immediately. And instead of turning him into yet another gay character whose only personality trait is being gay, he gets to be an asshole. And there's only like 2 or 3 Alan Scott fans so really it was only Jadefags that lost out there.
