The show itself is okay. I wish it did more and did better with its potential, and the characterization suffered a great deal.
However, I absolutely love the Dies Irae theory. I doubt we'll ever see it fully realized in canon (rimshot), but it's pretty clear the themes and motifs behind the show were inspired by some pretty out-there things.
We needed less of the romance bullshit and more black comedy. Hell, I hate how the lore for this show is so vast and epic yet less than 5% of it actually matters in the show itself.

Star Vs. could seriously be a brilliant show. Nefcy's vision for her universe and stories could be as as genius as George Lucas's. Like poetry, they could rhyme. Each stanza kinda rhyming with the last. Hopefully it'll work.
