Is this show worth watching? I'm interested in checking it out but I want to know what Yea Forums thinks. Should I watch this or The Dragon Prince?

Neither

Eh, the designs are better than the original IMO.
Hope you're ready for Lesbians, OP

Yes, it'll make you want to knock up a trap (female)

She-ra taken as a whole is below average, yet certain plot threads do pick up enough near the end that I would watch the next season. Be forewarned that the visuals are simultaneously dull and garish.

The Dragon Prince picks up quite a bit in the second season and is overall more entertaining than She-Ra, yet the story has an overt heavy-handed preachiness that She-Ra does not have, surprisingly.

Both shows, in spite of their world-building, are predominantly nondescript forest crawls that remind me in a bad way of early 8 bit RPGs. If you want solid action and more interesting locales, you don't need to look hard to find a better option than both shows.

Haven't watched She-Ra, But the Dragon Prince is worth a watch.

>you don't need to look hard to find a better option than both shows.
Thanks, any recommendations?

It’s your standard kids shoes. Honestly, The Dragon Prince has a lot more going for it, but once you watch TDP, you can check She-Ra later.

Conan the Adventurer. Galtar and the golden Lance. I'm just going by a fantasy theme.
Hell, Pirates of Dark Water is great, but it's a shame it went unfinished.

Yea Forums doesn't like it, but that doesn't mean much. What other shows do you like? It'd be easier to guess if you'd like it or not knowing what else you're into.

If you only have time for one, Carmen Sandiego. If you have time for all, give them all a spin. I focused on their faults, but they do have their merits, and they're not going to kill you with boredom.

She-ra is written for 8 year old non binary children (and tumblrites with an IQ of 86 and a degree in superficial arts).

its not challenging in the way voltron or the dragon prince are (and they are barely challenging).

the only challenging she-ra has is mentally.

Think of it written on the same intelligence level as Winx club but without the slutty fashion and sexy heterosexuality. its incredibly safe and if you think having overtly positive portrayals of gays in the media is 'risky' and 'groundbreaking' then you need to check your privilege. and when i say positive i dont mean hiv, honey.

there is one good episode. its not worth your investment when you could be watching anime or other animations that are far better.

the only reason why i watched the show is because i want to work in animation merchandising - i wanted to see if a change in female media design would be profitable - so far the main dolls mattel is selling are in the 80s incarnation

Young Justice

It's possibly the most middle-of-the-road show I've ever watched. It does pick up towards the end, but it's pretty fucking all over the place honestly. Animation can range from passable to extremely janky. Best part is character interactions, but if you're not a shipper that drools at the mouth at the prospect of vicariously seeing two characters kiss, the character interactions aren't phenomenal.

watch both and I bet you'll end up liking She-Ra more.

dragon prince season 1 is boring,
season 2 is really good, but not as enjoyable as peak voltron but its getting there.

>peak voltron

I wanna check that one out
Seen a couple episodes of that already, I liked it but I couldn't stream it or watch on TV

They're both watchable. TDP is a straightforward fantasy adventure with ATLA-type humor, sorta simplistic but with some lively action and fight scenes. She-Ra is a drama more than anything, the episodic conflicts are rote and the action is poor, but the characters have great chemistry, and their stories are well told. If you're trying to keep up with what's new, these shows are among the most relevant.

What's this meme? Literally, the only lesbianism in the show at all is two minor characters in the penultimate episode holding hands.

True and that relationship is amusing because they use the stereotype that black people like their women thicc even as lesbians. There are supposed to be more reveals in the future, though. Bow is supposed to have two dads and there is supposed to be a trans character out there somewhere.

She-Ra can be mostly fast-forwarded through until you see any Catra-Adora scenes.

Dragon Prince is more appealing although the 'seasons' are too short. Is also full of general waifu-bait and sweet, sweet, elven ass.

>Hordak has an alt-right haircut. Because he's evil.

teen titans go

It's great, one of the best shows in the last few years. Yea Forums just won't admit it's good because they were freaking out about it before it aired and now refuse to concede they were wrong. That and Calarts/SU shills mad that Netflix beat them at their own game.

She-Ra is pretty great. Haven't seen Dragon Prince, yet.

As the great Mestizo philosopher once said:
Why not both?

She-Ra is good, but you should watch the Dragon Prince.

Then you come back here and tell ME if I should watch that.

>sweet, sweet, elven ass
Pics?

Its good I you like dumb magical princess tropes all over the place. She even has a transformation sequence where she twirls and lights up and shit, not every time but it's still hilarious

There was a thread entitled "Elves are for the lewd" on /aco/ recently which continued the elfgirl ass theme.

Currently there's a general Elf Erotica thread:

His character designer lusts after him though so clearly they don't give a fuck.

the only characters in she-ra worth anything are the ed edd'n eddy expie villains. You have to like them A LOT to make the show worth the time
dragon prince was too difficult for my eyeballs so I don't know

I hear Shera is great, but don't miss out on Carmen Sandiego

This. Both are shit. But She-Ra is by far the worst.

no to He-ra
Dragon Prince is ok but you might want to wait for the 3rd season before bingeing

>The Dragon Prince picks up quite a bit in the second season and is overall more entertaining than She-Ra, yet the story has an overt heavy-handed preachiness that She-Ra does not have, surprisingly.
Doesn't bother me because it's their own thing. Do what you want with your own creation, just don't shit over someone else's as with She-Ra.

Is good, the villains are far better than the heroes though, Catra is a cute

Dragon Prince really disappointed me. I see people arguing that She-ra feels like something written for 8 year olds but instead that's how i felt about TDP with its constant awkward humour infesting every sequence and plot development. She-ra does have a simple story but it was fun

Yeah, choppy animation aside, DP shoehorned in the bad humor in an attempt to make it Y7....problem is Y7 sucks. Its an age group that doesn't really choose what it watches.

Both, if only to form your own opinion.
