Great working song that captures the essence of European colonization in the new world.
Too many to chose from. Friend Like Me is one of my favorites; I just animated it for a school project.
Right now, these are the songs that are stuck in my head.
>Friend Like Me
>Thomas O'Malley
>I Wanna Be Like You
>Part of Your World
>When We're Human
Didn't even have to guess twice before watching the video because first post is always best post. Close second would be Gospel Truth while Friend Like Me is in third place
I should add
>Hero to Zero
>You Can Fly
to the list since they've been stuck in my head too
TIL Jackie Chan voiced Li Shang in China
Friend Like Me and Prince Ali had really excellent lyrics, did Robin help write them or did they break the bank on vocabulary?

YUP
Literally the best thing to come out of modern Disney
Also I'd be remiss if I didn't include these:

This one is still one of my favorites, really makes me wonder what Kingdom of the Sun would have been like.

I've always liked this one

Hunchback. Nothing specific, just the entire soundtrack.
(okay you can get rid of the Jason Alexander song)
Never felt so fortunate
For pure singing ability, it is objectively and indisputably Bells of Notre Dame.
Anything else is just someone's favorite or has a special place in their heart due to nostalgia.
Maybe the most overrated song.
>overrated
What an impotent criticism of anything, all you're saying is that it's more popular than you want it to be.
Correct answer.
Just imagining what their vision must have been is so tantalizing. It's a shame they fucked it up so badly they had to scrap it and go for something completely different
I literally said it in
These all suck tho
Friend Like Me is probably my favorite song from Aladdin, which is my #1 Disney film (well, tied w/ Lion King), but honestly it's only become super-popular after Robin died, which just makes the song hit even harder.
Some damn good ones I haven't seen suggested yet:
Hellfire (Hunchback)
For the First Time in Forever (Frozen)
Almost There (Princess & the Frog)
Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians)
Jack's Lament (Nightmare Before Christmas)
Also, shout out to Feed the Birds from Mary Poppins, because that fucking scene w/ Mr. Banks walking to work to get fired always gets me.
Friends On the Other Side deserves a YouTube link

>Hellfire
Or
>Eye To Eye
I've always been pretty fond of "Be Prepared."

I won't Say I'm In Love is, by far, the best song that the mouse has ever churned out. It's also the song that sounds the best when translated into the setting of the movie.
probably the best "villain song" of the modern era. Not quite on part with Be Prepared or Poor Unfortunate Souls. But a damn site better than most of the villain tracks in the last decade or so
>Friend Like Me
That's an odd way to spell Friends on the Other Side...
youtube.com
I wouldn't call it the best, but it is one of the best modern Disney songs
Mother Knows Best is a pretty good update of Poor Unfortunate Souls.
Fuck Shiny. FUCK SHINY. FUUUUCK
Let's see some Punzel love in here.
that's not how you spell Be Prepared

The best
>Can You Feel the Love Tonight?
youtube.com
>learning your history from disney movies
yikes
>so much pleb taste here
I gotta respect a songwriter who's confident enough to make something bittersweet and atmospheric instead of bombastic & in-your-face.

I prefer this one

fpbp like always
I mean, what we got instead was pretty phenomenal, so I ain't complaining too hard.
Not even the best song from that movie.

Also, can't forget this thematically related song, the "Let it Go" of its time:

The only reason this isn't the best Disney song is because "technically" the pure sex spilling out of Goliath's lips isn't song.
But I'm gonna post it anyway.

They were originally going to use this song when Maruice first arrived to the castle, but they realized it was too good to not use with Belle.
