Any good Vision stories worth checking out?
Tom King’s Vision
King's Vision probably reads better the less you know about him. The more you know, the more his portrayal of Vision seems off. It's the only modern comic with him that's worth reading, though.
For classic Vision:
Avengers #57-58, #66-68, #79-#81, #89-#100, #102-108, #113, #116, #128-135/Giant-Size Avengers #2-4, #160.
1980s Vision/Scarlet Witch stories:
Vision and the Scarlet Witch Vol 1 #1-4
Marvel Team-Up #120-130
Marvel Fanfare #14, #32, #58
Marvel Super-Heroes Special Edition #10
Vision and the Scarlet Witch Vol 2 #1-12/ West Coast Avengers Vol 2 #2
After John Byrne destroyed Vision in the late 1980s, these stories covered his road back to normal:
Avengers Spotlight #40
Avengers #348, #360, #367
Vision (1994) #1-4
His scenes when he returns to the Avengers in the 1995 Avengers: The Crossing special are also worth reading for fans, even if you avoid the rest of the event.
Geoff Johns' Avengers never has a story focused on him, but he has moments across the run, and a miniseries:
Avengers vol 3 #57-61 and #65-70
Avengers Icons: The Vision #1-4
After spending years dead, he comes back angrier, and we got these stories that never led to anything more:
Avengers (2010) #24.1
Avengers Assemble Annual #1
Yeah Vision only works if you haven't already read Batman, Omega Men, HiC, and Mister Miracle. Going back Vision is the same thing as his Omega Men and Mister Miracle really. Going in blind was a treat though!
I meant the less you know about Vision, but yes, also true for "the less of King's work you've read".
Has a huge Vision fan these are good recs, even if Absolute Vision is missing.
still blows my mind there's a Geoff Johns/Ivan Reis Vision mini
>still blows my mind there's a Geoff Johns/Ivan Reis Vision mini
If only Jemas hadn't driven Johns away from Marvel, and he'd done more work on Vision and Wanda, they could have been spared everything since.
Good list. But i woukd also recommend the cartoon of EMH. It does a good version of him
I don't know if it's a good story, But I do like this image.
Evil Vision = best Vision.
>Absolute Vision
This. It's from the Stern era, arguably the team's best run. Avengers 231-254. You can get it in two volumes of Epic-sized soft cover collections.
Stern is a pleb filter. His avengers and spidey are god tier.
that one where he cried
Others have said it before, but Tom King's book is probably your best bet.
That's Ultron using Vision's body, like he wanted to do in the MCU. That issue was written while Byrne was working on West Coast Avengers, and exists mostly for pushing the Wanda/Wonderman pairing as "meant to be". Not much to enjoy for Vision fans except seeing how powerful he can be.
Is any character more slept on than Vision?
>inb4 Miracleman
>Others
You mean just one poster?
Nope, the poster after that recommended it too.
It is.
The thing about King is that the shorter the run is, the better the story ends up being.
