Look at the page with the JSA; it's pretty - it's a homage to the All-Star Comics cover - I can appreciate that.

But there's no room for speech bubbles, it's tightly packed, it prioritizes detail over dynamism. I wish people would stop having the mind to sacrifice dynamic panels in place of photorealism.

After seeing this, why wasnt Doosmday clock more like a timetravel through different DC eras, showing what Manhatten changed and maybe visit important moments like Infinity crisis?

My guess is, Johns changed the script while writing #10. So gary could work on #10. He only had to redraw #9 parts. so #9 got pushed back but #10 was in timeframe.

Yeah, we're almost nine issues in and so far they haven't really done much of anything except upset Russia. Pretty lame for a big important comic that was supposed to reintroduce two massive teams and reveal every shocking secret we didn't know.

He's not. He's too busy drawing dozens of tiny lines everywhere to do anything interesting. He's got severe sameface issues, all his characters look like 40 year olds and he's not a very interesting storyteller.
He's not bad, and he could probably be better but his "improvement" on Doomsday Clock has been nothing but more detailed backgrounds and even more tiny lines everywhere. He's not even near someone like Quitely.
