Would you watch a Kingdom Hearts animated series?

Would you watch a Kingdom Hearts animated series?

Every season they'd introduce a new villain.. only to reveal THEY WERE REALLY ANOTHER VERSION OF XEHANORT probably.

After Kingdom Hearts 1?
Yes.
After Kingdom Hearts 2?
Maybe.
After all the spin offs?
Fuck no.

Assumedly:

>Season 1: KH1
>Season 2: CoM/KH2
>Season 3: Multiple mini-series comprising the games leading up to KH3
>Season 4: KH3

Didn't we already have this thread today?
With the same OP image.

Only if it's KH1, COM, and KH2
Fuck everything else.

If the series stopped at the first game, maybe. That'd be more of a miniseries, and it would probably ruin the ending somewhat, but everything that comes after is a clusterfuck.

No

I could see an animated series working if the show's writers were allowed to streamline some of Nomura's bullshit.

A series would benefit greatly from the writers knowing in advance where the story goes.

I always thought you could make a great film out of the first game if you cut the Disney movie worlds and streamlined it down purely to game original ones and the Disney Castle cast plus Maleficent and Pete. Maybe have a montage between leaving Traverse Town and arriving in Hollow Bastion where shit gets real.

I don't remember which book this Gwen is from, was it one of the Christmas anthologies?

The biggest missed opportunity with Kingdom Hearts IMO is not really having the Disney characters interact with either one another or with Final Fantasy characters. There's some stuff with the latter (Cloud/Auron with Hercules/Hades, Merlin with Squall/Cid/Aeris/Yuffie), but it's not digging into the goldmine of stuff they have here. I wanna see Phil from Hercules and Scrooge McDuck meet up (or how Remy met Scrooge, for that matter) way more than I wanna see anything having to do with keyblades and shit at this point.

I'm not an autistic weeb so no.

I don't know, I'd think you'd at least need the couple worlds where princesses of heart reside, and possibly the couple worlds where Riku fucks shit up. Traverse Town shouldn't be the place to spend most of the movie. Seeing new worlds is thematically part of the story.

I've read the comics, novels, and played the games so... yeah...

it's trash but it's my trash!

that gay disney shit is gonna be gone in kh4
but yeah that might have been cool

Unironically yes. And I don’t even like anime all that much.

Is Disney okay with a KH game with no Disney? Isn't it technically their game?

CoM is vital but also feels like a filler arc. I'd put all that shit in an inter-season TV special.

The whole creative process prevents stuff like that. Because it's Disney IPs, you have to check in with the creators. With the old stuff, you can discuss things with just one or two people. But the recent stuff, like Frozen and Tangled, still has the people wanting to protect the original. Those worlds were fucking shit compared to Pixar willing to work out some kind of angle. It's all from some interview somewhere. By using Square Enix worlds, you can bypass that and just work with your old colleagues and OC stuff . Who knows if Disney is OK with it.

It almost happened

I can barley make it through the only plays of kh2

How about this:

>S1: BBS/X
>S2: KH1
>S3: CoM/Days
>S4: KH2
>S5: Coded/DDD
>S6: KH3

The fact that the style would have changed according to each world was a really cool idea, but, I can see how that would have probably made the cost to produce the show astronomical since it would mean having to be really serious with the continuity for the animation. And knowing how modern animation is, they'd probably take a billion shortcuts to avoid doing that (even more glaringly than some of the times within the game where Sora's gang don't bother to blend into some worlds).

That could work, but the main thing would be toning down Nomura's bullshit so it's accessible to a wider audience and not nearly as much of a clusterfuck to keep track of if you miss a few parts. Also, I imagine some things like Coded and 3D could be integrated into the events of KH3, since let's face it, the plot is mostly just padding until the final fight so blending in the plot points of the two games before it could help make things feel more urgent.
