I like it but I wish they put more educational stuff, not just geography (thought they could use some of that as well). I liked how they mentioned a bit about Vermeer, for example. Will season 2 have more of that?

I feel like it's somewhere between these two. He could have left the organization at any point so I don't think he's completely against a life outside the law. And he's definitely not with ACME considering Chief was still trying to just verify VILE exists at all
I could imagine him joining for the thievery aspect but growing increasingly disillusioned like Carmen was with the "evil" part of VILE's operations. Maybe VILE has gotten more vile over time to the point that he decided to start working against it from the inside rather than just disappearing until Carmen forced him to act openly

That's really where the fact that they're Y7 constrains them. Now they have to really beat down that Carmen is good and VILE bad with the ACME sideplot just to give her a bit of that roguish feel
