Can we talk about Venditti take on earth X and how different is from the original or Morrison version?

Multiversity
>The multiverse is formed by 52 universes, in one of them there is an earth with a tragic history that raises many nuanced ethical questions. Is it fair to blame a group of people for atrocities committed by their ancestors? Should a government that was born out of mass murder be torn down, even if doing so would plunge the world into total chaos and anarchy?
The Freedom Fighters
>Let's have Robert Venditti create a similar world to that from Multiversity, except it's much more black-and-white. The story will have very clearly defined good guys and bad guys, so readers will know with whom they are meant to identify, and they won't need to ask any potentially uncomfortable questions about themselves or what they believe.

So how issues is this in? Did anything happened with the giant robot that looked a lot like OMAC?

I like the PlaSStic Man take on things

Did the original Plas appeared in that universe? Do we know what happened to him?

>Is it fair to blame a group of people for atrocities committed by their ancestors?
Yes, if the group of people live will of the result of such atrocities, and continue to treat the defeated side like shit.

Should a government that was born out of mass murder be torn down, even if doing so would plunge the world into total chaos and anarchy?
We do it all the time, people overthrow dictators even if the country goes to shit in the process, Anarchy isn't good, but living in a tyrannical regime is no better.

Are you american or something?

>Should a government that was born out of mass murder be torn down, even if doing so would plunge the world into total chaos and anarchy?
Should the US be torn down then?

>We do it all the time, people overthrow dictators even if the country goes to shit in the process, Anarchy isn't good, but living in a tyrannical regime is no better.
People do it when the tyrannical regime fails to sustain (if already high) or to improve their life style, they don't just rebel due to higher ideals.

No. If you torn down the US you would destroy the world economy.

Say what you will about America but their democratic principles are NOT about rounding up the undesirables and murdering them.

>or to improve their life style
Well the nazi world in the comic is not precisely an utopia, Jews are not put in camps but still need to wear the stars, we hear Nazi wonder woman (Valkyrie?) talk abut sub humans and we see enough mystery that Uncle Sam is able to find followers.

So was Sivana an infiltrate or a traitor?

Didn't stop them from rounding up the Injuns or Japs and doing just that, or doing Mengele shit to blacks.

fuck I'm Jewish and I find this fascinating, having things be black and white for comics like this is just a waste. I'd pay money for the Multiversity version again.

Sivana was playing both sides against each other. He wanted the Freedom Fighters to tear down the status quo so that he could get in on the ground floor of the new society that would eventually replace it.

Many well-intentioned revolutionary groups are just patsies for would-be dictators. It happens in real life too.
