>We're living in the timeline where western animation is so shitty this counts as "saving" it
ORANGE SPLAT BAD
BAR CODE GOOD
If it was good it wouldn't need saving.
But Nick already cancelled this show.
Saving it with what? The cartoon that they've already cancelled before it airs a single episode?
You're deluded.
Drawing fart art of her right now.
y'all believed that hoax huh
twitter.com
>Nick Rejects Adventure time
>Nick Rejects Star vs
>Nick Rejects The modifiers
>Nick Rejects this
Everything went as spected.
What a time to be alive
>It's true, production on S2 was halted
The wording on this only fueled the fire for the belief that it was effectively cancelled until further notice, as most shows are given two seasons to start with. There are some exceptions that occur due to corporate retardation or laughably horrible reception, but generally even "bad" shows are given at least two seasons to try and snag an audience before a network gives up on it.
However, I hadn't seen and that makes me cautiously optimistic.
Mind you, I actually want the show to be good, and if it's good, I want it to do well! I dig the art direction of what we've seen, the animation looks solid, and I hope they execute the premise competently. But it's had a long production cycle (there were rumblings of the show like 5-6 years back or something) and what precious little information has been released online is sketchy and unclear, so it really didn't surprise me that it was "cancelled" before it ever aired. But I'll hold onto hope, I suppose.
>Nick Rejects Star vs
seriously, what's the story behind that
star vs is fucking shit, there's your story
Daron Nefcy said she presented the show to Nick executives while she worked there as she was an storyboarder in Robot and monster, but it was rejected.
Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered.
Nick seems to have at least learned from its mistakes and has been picking up the pieces. At the very least, they are trying to move back towards standard 2d animation instead of the cheap 3d shit that was all the rage in the past decade.
Disney lost Gravity Falls because the manlet ragequit and never really recovered in the animation front, especially with Star vs ending as well (and it never had the same draw).
CN has just been relentlessly spamming dull "safe" cartoons and SJW shit hoping that something sticks. Unless that barren pony bitch can save them with DC super hero girls then they are going to be screwed since no one under 300 pounds watches SU.
You don't get a pat on the back for gluing a vase back together if you're the one who knocked it off the vase cozy.
Pan is that you?
Also Phineas and Ferb which they rejected while Marsh was working on Rocko.
They felt the A and B plot were too complicated for kids to follow.
Nani?
The chances of there being a season two rest on how well the ratings for season one go. Setting that aside, what happened to the Glitch Tech production team was still a scummy move by the network.
>Puts all that effort into making the camera+poses dynamic and the animation smooth
>The eye can't even tell what the fuck it's looking at. I have to pause in order to appreciate each frame.
How do you fix this problem where the naked eye skips smooth movement?
This is a very serious problem evident in 3D animation.
I know that modern Superman(Man of Steel) movie had some choreography and action which the human eye could actually follow.
>Nick seems to have at least learned from its mistakes and has been picking up the pieces.
Nickelodeon has learned nothing. Los Casagrandes is going to be nothing more than The Loud House with a slight Hispanic tang to it. They're banking on it being successful as TLH while taking a cynical approach to Glitch Techs.
They're still looking for a golden Spongebob/ Fairly Oddparents equivalent with the intention to clone and milk it dry.
Los casagrandes feel like they are taking their approach with their live action shows and applying it to the cartoons.
Then the creator does something considered sexually inappropriate and it all goes in the shitter.
The Loud House still managed to survive.
Animation will only be saved when the monster-of-the-week format makes a return.
>nobody watches SU
This is the biggest example of cope in the world. SU is plenty popular. It was the seccond higest trending topic on the most popular social media platform when the intended finale dropped, and its getting extended after the intended ending, which is something that only happens to successful shows
Just because a show shouldn't be popular doesn't mean it's actually unpopular. Yea Forums, more than anything else, is a board full of wishful thinkers
I've come to the conclusion that Yea Forums is full of weebs in denial, and as such its stance on the state of western animation is determined by how much it's like animu.
That's why french animation is so "good" according to Yea Forums; they basically make diet anime at this point.
So the Seth McFarland route.
>dynamic animation in service of the most generic premise ever.
no, get that shit away from me.
That's used for action shows, and action shows don't draw audiences anymore. At least that's the narrative floated by higher-ups.
And yet there is no release date yet for the Rocko and Invader Zim movies.
>and its getting extended after the intended ending
I hope they can show what alien race drove the Homeworld to sacrifice their own colonies to make more soldiers and pretty much destroyed their economy by forcing them to spend all their resources.
>narrative
yeash
That aside, motw style action shows only really appeal to two groups: nerds and children. It's escapism for bored people with too much free time
Actually this show might go with this format.
>It was the seccond higest trending topic on the most popular social media platform when the intended finale dropped
Companies pay for their shit to trend on Twitter. Please tell me you're not this much of a rube.
if i pitched a cartoon to nickelodeon how hard would they let me down
If you like it and it's successful it's popular, but if you dislike it and it's popular it's shills
Prolly hard, can't trust Nick these days (or most other channels too, like Cartoon Network especially)
>Yet they accepted Planet sheen and Fanboy & Chum chum
Because AT, Star vs, and The modifiers were all really risky ideas. Networks would much rather take a show that's guaranteed to be a moderate success than one that has a 50/50 chance of being either a flop or a runaway hit
from what i just read the new nick president is trying to fix that and will bring in more cartoons and give then a chance
isn't every idea a risk
Yes, but those ideas were particularly risky.
AT was way more surreal than any kids show had ever been and as a result had no precedent to look to to see if kids would even be interested in something like it, Star vs was in a genre that America had little experience with, and The Modifiers was way "artsier" than your typical kids show
and planet sheen and fanboy and chum chum were just bad ideas
They were safe ideas. A million shows exactly like them. It's hard to really see from a modern perspective, but early 2010s cartoon network was actually insanely experimental
But they are not acting accordingly since they halted production on Glitch Techs' second season. At least give them 2 so they can fully flesh out the cast. The show needs more advertisement prior the debut date.
planet sheen was the only safe one out of the two, fanboy and chumchum was just gross and annoying and even then planet sheen was a horrible idea no matter how safe it was
glitch techs was in the works before the new president so that might have something to do with it, also a show doesn't need two wholw seasons to flesh out the cast, there are even shows that don't need a fleshed out cast
Part of it is you're looking at a rough draft. She blends in because she's just a sketch. Cut the background, give her flat shading or just color her in and it should be much easier
What is this new show called? Looks okay
Glitch Techs, a new Nicktoon coming out later this year.
If you couldn't tell what was going on in that webm your fucking blind
>Glitch Techs
What's it about?
Kids fighting monsters in cyberspace.
Nick actually now has a team of in house animators that can pull off some neat stuff on a tv budget.
that's not it
Does Nick even have any good cartoons within the last five years?
Everyone who posts this particular image deserves to be castrated
Then what is it about
I'm sorry you can't cope.
Why isn't anime banned? This is one of the non-weeb boards
>Yea Forums
>non-weeb
This is 4channel, not Yea Forums
>Series will premiere with an hour long pilot/special
>30 minute episodes will be the standard
>Will apparently be story driven and tell a season long arc
I'm starting to see why production was halted. This is sounding like one of the most ambitious Nicktoons in a while.
It's about a group called the glitch techs fighting video game characters that glitch into the real world
So, cartoon Reboot?
It's not that I can't cope, it's that I shouldn't have to. People who post smug anime girls are shitposters with absolutely nothing to contribute literally 100% of the time
>inb4 muh anime imageboard
It's not the anime part that's a problem. It's the shitposting part that I take issue with
what are you talking about, it's nothing like reboot, btw reboot is also a cartoon
>phineas and ferb was pitched as far back as 1993
>didn't become a show until 14~ years later
Now that's dedication and it also makes me feel tired because I can't imagine pushing for something for so long
>gross and annoying kids show
>implies that somehow kids don't like it and it's a bad idea
if kids like it then why did it fail
>he thinks kids still care about gross out
90s are over there sir
Castration is too direct. The whole hanging, drawing and quartering treatment should be up for them
Sometimes persistence pays off
>mfw no one here as an idea for an animated cartoon
>mfw everyone complains about P&F
>glitch techs
go back to your circlejerk pedo lair at the Loud House general
I wonder if Nick is still on suicide watch from letting Adventure Time slip away?
>Their golden goose creator Stephen dies from ALS
>Butch Hartman leaves studio and ends Fairly Odd Parents
>The Loud House is first hit in years, the creator is a pedo and show takes a massive hit in ratings
>Cancels massive hits like P&F, Adventure Time, and even potential shows like Modifyers
>Dora the Explorer incident
>promising new show is halted in production
>Spongebob is in Superbowl for 5 seconds, everyone is mad at Travis Scott, Maroon 5, and the NFL. Spongebob doesn't get his limelight and Stephen's legacy is pissed on.
Is this their last hope? What are they even doing?
>Dora the Explorer incident
what happened
i have a few ideas, i just don't have the talent or skill to draw, but if you or someone else would like to help with that then i would gladly accept
A kid drowned in-bertween a statue of Dora's legs at one of their Nick hotels pools. The parents sued.
Give me ideas
>Nick rejected Adventure Time
Looks like they were right in the end with that decision
No they weren't. AT would've enjoyed moderate popularity and ended after season 3 if it was on nick, which is where it should've ended.
>Spongebob doesn't get his limelight and Stephen's legacy is pissed on.
Based. Anyone thinking that Spongebob was entitled to being in the Super Bowl because the creator died was a fucking moron anyway. I don't recall any Stan Lee dedications either.
Did Adventure Time ever even become a huge ratings hit? It had a fleeting moment of popularity if I remember right, but things like status quo and the crew being fucking retarded meant they never really caught lightning in a bottle. Passing up on Phineas and Ferb sounds like it hurt more because that show was actually a huge ratings hit during Adventure Time's "prime".
even though that episode for sure wasn't made with composite artifacts those awful composite artifacts really fit the video game they're in because most old video games practically run on composite cables.
>Did Adventure Time ever even become a huge ratings hit
It literally helped saved western tv animation along with the rainbow horse cartoon.
Winner Takes All would have been better than some 2-bit rapper making ape noises on the stage.
Savino hit on some interns which was enough to to him #metoo, he didn't do any John K tier shit.
Adventure Time was a huge hit when it came out, you should have seen all the crappy Adventure Time wannabe pilots/shorts/"""original""" fanart that came out when it was in vogue.
sorry it took so long to reply, i just took a nap
is there some place where i can pm you an idea of mine, do you have discord or something like that
oh shit i remember that, how fucked up it was for everyone involved
>Did Adventure Time ever even become a huge ratings hit?
What kind of fucking question even is that?
t. CNbots
Adventure Time maxed out at 3 million viewers in it's prime. Less than TUFF Puppy or Planet Sheen numbers.
>Anything I don't like is a shill
Fuck off underage. Only babies don't remember what a huge hit Adventure Time was.
Huge hits don't drop to 1 million viewers the moment real competition shows up. Adventure Time at times failed to even beat Regular Show. It certainly was pushed by Cartoon Network as the "flagship" of its channel at the time, but that's literally a tallest midget competition.
Phineas and Ferb was the major hit of the late 2000s/early 2010s. It's first episode had 10 million viewers. I was routinely the number 1 kid's animated show on cable TV. It's merchandise was everywhere. YOU are the underage if you actually think Adventure Time was anywhere near the level of success PnF was.
true, if adventure time did do worse than those two that doesn't mean that it isn't a success, three million is still good ratings, not to mention all of the merchandising, something those two shows never had
it might have not been as big as p&f but it was still huge
>It didn't beat muh P&F
>It m-must have been a ratings failure
Way to go further proving that not only are you underage but also mentally stunted. I remember the merchandise, the amount of people who actually talked about it, how heavily it was advertised by CN and how many bastards wore that godawful Finn hat
God, I can taste the weebery.
>muh anecdotes
>Moving goalposts this hard
That's just the icing to my argument, underage. Try a reading the post and its chain again before you continue
You're using this underage projection an awful lot. Which year the 90s or 00s were you even born in anyway?
Nobody watches your gay show about rocks
>omfg did you know Nick PASSED ON ADVENTURE TIME LIKE A DECADE AGO? better completely hijack a thread about an interesting looking show to remind you all of this
god ATfags are insufferable and deserved the lackluster finale they got
Mid 90s
Yeah, no worries, I could tell right off the bat you were significantly younger than me.
>I-ITS POPULAR I SWEAR
>gets routinely skullfucked in the ratings by Loud House
fuck right on off
disney might be alright if Dana can stop punching screens for 5 seconds and get her shit together, but thats a big if
>Still trying to move goalposts this bad
Its okay to have no more arguments faggot. Just be a man and admit it
>ratings
Oh, you make me laugh user. Those are long outdated. Now tell me, which fanbase is larger again? Steven's. You can tell me paragraphs of how bad the SU fandom is, but it's still a lot larger than your "ratings-winning" Nickelodeon show.
>which fanbase is larger again? Steven's.
Maybe if you go by BMI average!
The loud house died with season 2. I don't know why you guys are still clinging on that shit
mlp was way more popular
You are correct.
because they screwed it over in favor of SpongeBob
>Now tell me, which fanbase is larger again? Steven's.
So you're saying Steven Universe is Elsagate psyops?
Yeah, and execs are probably going to decide om the show's fate based on the premiere ratings, let's hope they start off with good numbers.
It's not my show. Outside of the second half of the first season I don't even really like it, and I outright hate the later episodes where they made garnet gay sex and have steven crossdress
just post it here
I can't be the only one who is bored and desensitised by these over the top action anime wannabe spectacle shots in modern cartoons, right?
They all seem to have the same movement and weight and I'm starting to suspect that everyone in the industry is just going off a template shared among everyone.
It's not impressive because I can see the same kind of thing in a My Hero Academia fan animation by some amateur on Youtube.
Yea Forums eats this shit up because it looks a lot harder than it actually is. Fast, flashy animation is super easy to cheat, but the amount of shit going on at once tricks those who don't know much about animation into thinking that it's super layered and complex
>cartoon creators inspired by anime, it's either
>over-the-top action sequences with no substance
>stock anime poses
>low fps and choppy mouth movement
Fight scenes are the hardest to animate, or are you saying that solid drawings in character animation is harder? Please, I'd rather watch a fight scene.
Hell I already see that nauseating action on most anime
>good action scenes are now bad
Western-abomination fags on suicide watch
?
dont tell me they waste all the cool shit on the girl
That's right keep consuming your mind numbing product faggot. Everything there is always good and you will always keep consuming it and wait patiently for next product
They're really not though. When things are moving super fast you a) don't have to do anywhere near as many drawings and b) can be a lot looser with said drawings.
In a fight scene, it doesn't matter if you go off model for a frame or two, because the frames are spaced so far apart that nobody outside of animators and hardcore animation fans will care. But if a character's eye magically shrinks for a few frames in slower, more character based animation, you can bet your ass people will notice.
You can also hide a lot more behind effects animation and compositing with action sequences, using dust clouds and flashing lights to obscure the action, and fancy depth of field and digital lighting effects to mask poor draftsmanship
Now don't get me wrong, a well animated fight scene is very cool. But it's not anywhere near the most difficult task in animation like non-animators seen to think it is
Cool
Where did you get this from?
>I can't be the only one who is bored and desensitised by these over the top action anime wannabe spectacle shots in modern cartoons, right?
user, there are only 3 cartoons right now who do this. How are you going to be tired of it when the majority of cartoons don´t do it?
But you still need to make sure that the action has synergy and flows well. It´s not like it´s some easy shit where you can just draw whatever and it will look okay.
He's just a faggot who complains about anything regardless of the validity of his complaint. Just like the average 4channeluser
cope harder
That applies to literally all animation user. Action scenes aren't unique in that regard
If you're already bored by the third time around, you're definitely doing something wrong.
It's moreso that Yea Forums fucking salivates over it every time it shows up like it's the pinnacle of not only animation but art as a whole. Every time anyone wants to show off "good" animation on Yea Forums they use webms that look more or less identical to the one in the OP.
>It's moreso that Yea Forums fucking salivates over it every time it shows up like it's the pinnacle of not only animation but art as a whole.
Not really? Yea Forums is just happy to see it done because right now, we don´t have too many cartoons that look good. I mean, there are a bunch of good animated cartoons but in terms of visuals, most shows are very uninspired right now.
Nobody says ROTMNT is the best show ever, or even that it´s the best TMNT show ever, but people appreciate it for being a fun show that has great animation.
You just accidentally proved me right
There are no good western animated cartoons, any good cartoons are made in Japan.
Name one good animated cartoons that is inspired within the past two decades
motorcity
>within the past two decades
you do realize this board talks mostly about cartoons that have been released in the last 2 decades right?
People are just as tired of the Disney way of doing things too user.
>People are just as tired of the Disney way
>America
pick one
That has nothing to do with anything
When is it airing? Don't they have one season and a half ready? Why not just put it on Yea Forums?
That doesn't prove me wrong
It was cancelled
read the thread
I did retard, it's not in production anymore and not scheduled to air anymore.
The creator and multiple people working on the show have confirmed it is airing you fucking idiot.
sorry but i don't feel comfortable discussing my ideas in public
Ever since Mike Tyson became president in 2028 I don't blame you.
They did back in 2009. I liked it as a dumb kid
>The series premiere drew 5.8 million viewers. The second episode was watched by 5.4 million viewers. The series won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program at the38th Daytime Emmy Awards.
It was popular.
Samurai Jack
Because they still wanna fuck the sisters
Doesn't matter how shit the actual show is, as long as the girls hit that certain note then they're good to go
Still kicks the shit out of the COMEDY FOCUSED REBOOTS and RELATABLE AND QUIRKY shows.
>le quirky samurai that just stands around walking
>forced romance plot
Yeah, no.
Hi trollhunterfag
Wtf is troll hunter, and who is this user you speak of?
Once this show gets released TLH is going to the shitter, also taking in mind that Nick will hype its spic spin-off.
Nice Obari pose
but i really do wanna share them, know a place where i can discuss them with someone privately
you have to say something about it before anyone is going to deal with that trouble of getting a private talk
Most people working in the industry today are weebs to some extent, and the Japs only put effort into the fight scenes. So the weebs copy their idols and end up with mostly-badly animated show with the occasional half-decent fight.
Well, I'm not. How do I get my own show.
Just ignore, the weebs, faggot.
And do not forget about cringey characters doing cringey shit that is supposed to be cute.
Is there any positive influence of cartoons inspired by anime? I really can't see any.
2000s action shows dropped the fugly hyper stiff psudo-comic book saturday morning cartoon look and transitioned over to a much more appealing anime influenced style.
Avatar, TT and Lastman have anime elements, but they are not saturated of them, I think they tried to have their own Essence. Star, on the other hand, try to be "le-dorky-cutie" but It fails really hard.
You just caught my attention because I actually want find a way to animate where a fight isn't flashy random punches, I want my fights to have weight that allows the spectator to feel that the character is one punch away from defeat even if the fight just started. Hell, I should try to start making an experimental draft of what I want to achieve.
Just watch actual sword fights and then change the camera perspective to be more dynamic or have a steady cam and have the style be similar to John Wick. I don't think it's that hard to get the idea to do it, more so the actual execution.
Are you a dumbass or just detached from reality? Kids can watch both shows, I'm sure you watched more than one cartoon when you were a kid.
Hmmm, I'll give it a check but I need more of a close range combat.
One scene I can recall really enjoying is early Dragon Ball, where Goku still has his staff and is still vilnerable to swords, it kinda reminded me of Jackie Chan films
>John Wick is not close range combat.
>youtube.com
You just caught my attention too, what are you trying exactly to achieve? Do you have any animatics? Also What do you think about the Gendy work?
Fine then, my favorite cartoon idea involve a teenage boy, about 15 years old, not wanting to take over the job his father tries to force upon him so he runs away and ends up becoming the bodyguard of the daughter of the wealthiest family in the country he ran away to, the show takes place on a planet other than earth but still populated with humans, sorta like Avatar, each of the planet's continents are based off of real world continents but with there own twist, the story starts off simple but develops into a story were the heroes try to take down the bad guy, that's all i'm willing to say about it for now, what do you think
Highly doubt he has watched that.
Not him, but that's way too ambitious for your first work.
Sounds like re:zero, and there's a lot that can end being a cliched mess.
That's too much for your first work, keep the story simple and maybe narrow it down to just the teenage boy that ends up becoming a bodyguard of a princess or aristocrat. Give him a reason for becoming a bodyguard that's not "I don't want to be like my father". I'd keep the setting, but focus on developing the story further.
>each of the planet's continents are based off of real world continents but with there own twist
My idea involves different planets with aspects that represents earth's. For instance, everything might be alien but then they use cars. Or their housing structures are like earth's. Then another planet everything is still ailen but they wear clothes from a point in time on earth but nothing else represents that time nor again are they human (or those shitty animal based aliens)
Think bigger hambone.
I plan on training and doing other stuff first
Never watched re:zero, what's it about
>Give him a reason for becoming a bodyguard that's not "I don't want to be like my father"
Well actually that isn't why he got the job, he doesn't really even dislike his dad, he just doesn't wan't to be forced to fill his shoes, he takes the job because he ended up saving the girl and decided to stay because her dogs are cute, he loves cute
I'm already thinking big, i even got an idea to add in a sort of afterlife with spirits and the sort, sort of like Avatar's spirit world, is that bigger
>re:zero
a guy becomes a bodyguard to a girl with wealth in a earth that is similar to ours but with different twists, also groundhog day
Well damn i didn't think something like that already existed but i hope that the tone, setting and characters are enough to make my idea stand out
That's really how you should approach it. Ideas are a dime a dozen, but execution is where it's at
Exactly, i think the biggest example has to be Jimmy Neutron and Dexter's Lab, two shows with the same idea but are totally different
Honestly, if you didn't know about it then the execution is probably wildly different.
Ballmastrz
>Ballmastrz [AS]
>Anything on [AS] being animated well
I'm familiar with Samurai Jack and that's about it, that also was very good
Boi this is good!
Unironically ATLA and OTGW
Ah, attacking anything but the show itself. The favorite tactic of anyone who can't argue
Probably the most obvious answers desu.
nuh uh the only reason the 1st P&F episode had 10mill views was because it was RIGHT AFTER THE HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL FINAL MOVIE.
Nobody cared about High School Musical user
Consider Miko
>
>Nobody cared about High School Musical user
>the last movie was such a big deal for Disney that it went to theaters
>theaters are now a big deal
It was just one shitty movie, deal with it.
It had as much cultural relevance as Avatar. Nobody even remembers it, or anyone that was in it.
>Nobody cared about High School Musical
It's one shitty movie that made 252.9 million dollars at the box office
It's probably the only movie series that started out direct to TV/DVD and gained so much traction that it made it to theaters. Anything else I can think of transitioned the opposite way or just got cancelled before hitting that point.
I'd say check out old Bruce Lee movies. The way they show him getting fucked up after fights might help put some perspective in how you want to portray each hit.
>It was the seccond higest trending
What said. Plus, Twitter tend to attract certain demographics with specific interests - Ariana Grande and BTS for example are beloved on Twitter to the point of trending; but if you grab a random pedesterian down the street and ask them about these artists, chances are most either don't give a shit at best or get annoyed at worst. (At least, what I observe in my country's Twittersphere - BTS are sort of repelled at due to its obnoxious fanbase.)
HSM was a big deal
HOLY KINO BATMAN!

Yea Forums only likes it because it looks a little like anime
>Nobody cared about High School Musi-
>The first broadcast of the film on August 17, 2007 broke records, receiving 17.2 million viewers.[4] This number made it, at the time, the most-watched basic-cable telecast in history. Ratings for the second showing of the movie fell to 8.4 million, and the third showing fell to 7.4 million, totaling the premiere weekend to 33.04 million viewers.
I've got a few I've written up. Also with Alternative Treatments to play them as Sitcoms if needed.
Working out some right now. Probably need an artist to collab with at some point maybe.
No, because it has potential and because it looks already better than most modern shows
>an overproduced pilot will save western animation
Thing is Nick had been pushing it for months, heck they'd been practicing for weeks for the performance. NFL just chickened out because "White people in Atlanta, dats Racists" So they got two horse shit rappers. Not even Andre 3000 FFS
>NFL just chickened out because "White people in Atlanta, dats Racists"
how the fuck do you even come to that conclusion
because they've been letting that kinda stuff ruin the league for years now.
FINALLY. I've been waiting for qt Mikos.
Name me something other than TMNT that does this right now.
At worst: You're wrong because you can't.
At best: You're right and I have a big list of shows I can check out right now.
>HSM
was it good? I haven't seen it
here's one from the drawthread
I don't know if you'll think it's good. It's just a Disney Channel Original Movie. But it was fucking popular
Let’s not forget that Sanjay and Craig was a thing...
Holy shit, my dick
Five is gonna be a lucky bastard.
I know right? Being friends with qt gamer gurls.
can you give us an idea of what your idea is
>visual medium
>they show the bitch having a bit of tits and a big ass
>artists still fuck it up
At least this one nailed it.
The Meg made more than that, even most movies in general make more than that
you blind, dumb, and deaf?
>Sanjay and Craig
Why don't people like that and why have I never heard of it?
>nuh uh, it didn't beat Planet Sheen and Tuff Puppy
>nuh uh, it didn't beat Phineas n Ferb
Stop moving the goalposts around, you making the refs dizzy.
A lot of movies make less than that too.
kek, not anymore
>2020 will see a resurgence of action shows, with fucking Nick spearheading the revival
What a bizarre reality we've slipped into
People who use kek unironically deserve to be banned
At least it isn't a live-action show
Why are there so many negative threads lately?
why aren't you banned yet?
I'm glad. I really like glitch techs' art style. looks like a hybrid of the two major styles of the 2000s; UPA influenced flat cartoons and anime influenced realistic ones
Positivity is wasted on Nick fanboys, especially when they've been lagging far behind the curve with nothing but the latest season of Spongebob to show.
Artist?
Well, now I can definitely say I'm excited for the show
I'm testing one that is a mix of Doctor Who and a Buddy Comedy ensemble.
Are we sure she's Asian? With hips and thighs like that she's more of a latina
With the purple hair and the whole fact she's a "gamer girl" thing it's pretty safe to assume she's Asian.
cringe
Wait until you grow up, young buck. You'll know I'm right.
Actually, Five is the latino one, Miko is confirmed Asian (obviously Japanese since her surname is Kubota)
Will this and Wonder Park be Nick's saving grace?
Calling Nick the savior of action cartoons based on one uncolored screen test is stupid because they couldn't make Korra not suck after four seasons.
It'd be like saying cartoons are fixed because Imaishi did the 30 second intro for OKKO. Putting a bandage on an amputated limb doesn't make Phantom Limb.
>Japanese woman with an ass like that
God I wish such a thing actually existed, damn shame they're all fucking sticks.
What's AKKO?
Toss this and the subsequent series coming out of it up on Netflix. It's going to die a neglected death under Spongebob and Loud House.
I'm at least going to be hopeful this catches on and becomes the main influence of the 2020s, because if it doesn't something way worse will instead
Adventure Time and Steven Universe are the main influences for the 2020s. I'm sorry user
well Rise of TMNT has been existing for a few months
You do have to admit though, despite Korra being garbage in terms of story telling, the fight scenes were absolutely fucking masterfully executed and put most animation of the decade to absolute shame.
The funny thing is they didn't even have particularly good animation when you get down to it, there were pretty low frame, but the choreography was so strong it completely carried them
I only hope this show is a better videogame show than Ex-Aid
>the fight scenes were absolutely fucking masterfully executed and put most animation of the decade to absolute shame.
No they didn't user
Name one example of TV animation made after 2010 that had better action scenes than LoK.
jojo
Star Wars The Clone Wars
dude watch shows from the mid 90's to late 200's they are all worse than this.
Yea Forums is a board for POZ BLACK BULLS using their toxic seed on white owned couples.
user, that came out in 2003.
I'm fine with that, simply because things have been getting subtly, incrementally better over time anyway. I'd like for things to be better by 2020, but 2030 will do
It came out in 2008, and the second season came out in 2010
>en.wikipedia.org
Sorry, thought you were talking about Genndy's Clone Wars series.
Nope. They were the influences for the 2010's. By the 2020's we'll likely get bored of the overly simplistic style everyone has been using the past decade. Every 10 years the style changes.
Maybe she's hafu and her mom is a PAWG.
A sexy retarded witch.
Is this what she looked like in the episode where they went to black and white rubber hose style art?
It worships satanism.
Are you just being sarcastic?
This is not shitty. Compare the mouth animation with mouth animation in anime (excluding "sakuga," of course).
>where mouth animation and stock poses is 90% of the animation and some flashy lights is the epitome of animation
>any character animation is denounced as "Forced animation"
It must suck being a weeb.
May I just say I hate this shit? Why can't different shows have different styles depending on the genre? America's "one size fits all" approach to art is fucking obnoxious
>no one under 300 pounds watches SU.
So like every american child age 4 and up?
Same reason why the majority of anime looks the same
Nice body
The animation industry is very heavily connected, different shows almost always trade staff members or hire staff from the same sources, which basically means everything starts kinda inbreeding into a stagnate mess until enough new blood comes on all at once to flood the industry with enough new ideas that some fall through the cracks.
>The death of the infamous CalArts style means we might get some body types in animation that aren't just four noodles sticking out of a rectangle
thicc thighs save not only lives, but an entire industry it seems; not to downplay the sweetness of a lean tummy.
FYI the person who created this show also created this
>implying CalArts is going to die anytime soon
The people who made the Emoji movie also made Spider-Verse. What is your point here?
>age card
>from the 20 year old zoomer
yikers
No him, but a persons previous work is the best indicator of what his other work will look like, not always of course but just something to keep in mind.
Its a Nick show so you already know how things will pan out.
The initial threads will be similar to this one. ORANGE SPLAT BAD monologing, "remember when Nick passed on Adventure Shit", Doomers, nitpicking, and reposting of pictures of the one brief frame or sequence of QUALITY incidents.
Then it can go two ways
>ratings are bad
More doomers, "Nick never gave this show a chance", blaming Loud House or Spongebob (most likely the former, since its less of a sacred cow), blaming lack of promotion etc
>ratings are good
Daily "this show is bad" threads by CNdroids, "you pedos only watch it for Miko", at least one mod who overmoderates if not outright forces the threads to /trash/, falseflaggers, etc
seething waifufag.
How are ratings calculated? Please explain to a brainlet
>Yea Forums will shitpost about a new show
Gee, great insight there user.
If it's good ignore the saltyfags, if it's shit ignore the threads (which will be spammed on mass for the first two or three weeks before completely dying down).
If you're not a complete newfag none of this should be new to you.
>blah blah blah
>imma company wars fag
>blah blah blah
>memes memes memes
>blah blah blah
Please die.
It won't outright die, but it'll definitely become less common. Look what happened to the 2000s UPA meets anime flash style; it's no longer everywhere like it was back then, but most every wacky comedy cartoon for kids still uses it, save for a few exceptions like OK KO. I personally predict that the calarts style will mostly be reserved for slice of life comfy type shows going forward. The rounded, doodly art mixed with earthy pastels fits the laid back atmosphere of those shows well
This, the real shamefur dispray was not having probably part of the most influential Atlanta rap duo on the stage and instead having some literally who.
Isn't that what Loud House is anyway? A live action Nick show but in animated form.
Why is Sanjay and Craig so hated here and nowhere else?
Does anybody even remember S&C outside of here?
What the fuck is a CNdroid?
Why do Nickfags have to constantly bring up company wars between two channels? Stop trying to make this some Nintendo vs Sony nonsense where Disney Channel is Xbox
It was their most popular show
I can't imagine anyone other than waifufags watching this trite. the premise is boring and the animation doesn't impress me because is in the service of a generic plot.
at least the new TMNT isn't repeating the same TCRI, ooze and Hamato Yoshi story for the 4th or 5th time and it's a great action show.
Why would someone watch this kiddy shit?
Just have to wait until the forerunner of the new style appears. Don't know whether it will be good or bad.
Say hello
nigga you're retarded
>barren pony bitch
She finally did it, after like 6 miscarriages
Lmao you already triggered a bunch of them
Would marry the one on the right
YES! And the destruction of that horrible shitstain edges ever closer. It's living proof that time is the perfect executioner. Emerald will be avenged.
Genndy made the Clone Wars cartoon.
>horrible shitstain
What are you referring to?
EVERYONE has IDEAS user
It ran for 3 seasons. Somebody's bound to remember it.
because the action scenes are good and the turtles are popular as fuck.
If they just didn't do it no one would have felt "entitled" to anything. People thought they were getting sweet Victory because NFL showed sweet Victory
Let me guess, because CNN paid Twitter to like SU right?
It doesn't matter if they were paid to like it, they liked it. If McDonald's threads are always on /ck/ every hour, it doesn't matter who paid them to do it, it's still popular
thicc thighs can also end lives as well
I don't
Turtles haven't been popular since the 90s. If anything, the live action movie completely killed them.
Depends on the fight scenes desu, since there needs to be stakes for them to be interesting which LoK often lacked. Though i can agree that a lot of them where great.
I didn't care about it, but it's evidently really popular with my generation (late teens/early twenty-year olds)
My 75 year old parents liked it, so more than one generation liked it.
Dude how old are you
