Pokemon sprits were great, better than "regular animals with one or two weird features," they look bizarre and otherworldly now as they should.

It destroyed nothing and only expanded on things that were never properly explained. Whether all of its decisions were good or not is another story, but nothing was remade.

We all know that the Dark Avatar is an interesting base but that shit was executed in a horrible way.
In ATLA they had already explained that one can be such good as bad to achieve global balance.

Going from what's depicted, Vaatu isn't so much 'darkness' as in shadow but 'darkness' as in chaos, synonymous here with imbalance and indeed detrimental to the world.
Raava and Vaatu don't function like Yin/Yang, so it makes sense.

It did answer where the ability to bend came from and why non-benders exist, something that was a question in ATLA.

Ironically entropy is a form of balance. The existence of biology is literally chaos. Surviving is chaos. Vaatu wanting to kill everybody is balance, whereas Raava represents a continuation of chaos.

A question is not the same as a plothole. A plothole is a mistake that can and should be patched. An unanswered question can remain a mystery.

The only bad season of Korra was the second one. In my opinion, it was a good cartoon but you should watch the show and decide for yourself.

Why does everyone say, that the second one is the single the worst season. It ties it place with the forth, not far behind the first. Giant Korra and giant mecha are equally stupid

Mixed bag with highs and lows, opinions vary wildely. Not as good as ATLA but not as horrible as its made out to be either.
Only thing you can really do is watch it and come to your own conclusion.

Giant Korra is way more stupid and story-breaking than giant mecha, which is just a bigger version of preexisting mechas.

Its the definition of inconsistent. One moment you're really enjoying it the next its super shit. I personally believe that Korra has a lot of fun big ideas, it just never executes it in a satisfying way

The Eclipse or whatever the ending is called was really a harbinger of what was to come. It was written by Bryke and was really weak including Conveniently Placed Rock and "Oh yeah, energybending" which had never before been so much as hinted at as existing.

It's terrible. Imagine Avatar with everything you like stripped away, It's to Avatar what the Prequels were to Star Wars and not even Kuvira is enough to save it.
