What does Yea Forums think about Boom's Power Rangers books post Shattered Grid? Specially now that Parrott is taking over both titles.

Bennett's run was terrible and it can't end soon enough.

First arc:Not bad
Putty Matt arc: Best arc in the comics
Ranger Slayer: Typical "Character comes from bad end future" ruined by Shattered Grid tie-in
Other planet: Forgettable at best.

Current arc has a nice start though.

I have trust in Parrott

I really liked the first six issues or so of the MMPR book. Everything after that was shit and only served to be made fun of. And somehow still got worse under Bennett. GGPR has been solid all the way. Mora's art was great, but the new guy isn't as nice to look at as Mora. Hopefully Buffy tanks and they put him back on GGPR.

Never heard of Parrott, what's he done that's apparently so good?

honestly not much which is why it was such a relief he ended up being the best Boom writer

Oh, he's the guy responsible for GGPR, now everything makes sense.
Am hype.

I liked his IDW Star Trek work.

I dropped it two issues into Bennett's run.

So,from the last thread. How would Yea Forums make a original 100% Power Rangers series if Hasbro asked them to do?
The theme needs to be something that wasn't done before or not used a lot. Like knights or cowboys.

Thoughts?

RPG style?
Start with a trio, Warrior Red, Mage Blue, Thief Yellow. Add two, Ranger and Cleric, maybe, then the sixth.

Knights, have St.John as a ranger fighting the dragon.

Ecstatic. Go Go's always been better at fleshing out plotpoints from the main book without feeling dull, and with one writer between both titles we'll get even better synergy.

I don't even care that we're getting more Tommy focus, since there's some really interesting implications in the wake of the team piecing the universe back together.

It's okay. There's really not much to go off of quality wise, but I'm relatively hopefully it'll be better than Ninja Steel.

It's kind of jarring how hard they're leaning into the animal motif here, since in Go-Busters it was little more than window dressing.

Sixth can be a Bard, since the addition of a Sixth Ranger or a Bard can enhance a team's power exponentially.

Sexy

Which PR series should I watch Yea Forums?

RPM

Ha ha
Parrot

Is SPD that good as everyone said? Give me reasons why should I watch it.

Personally it's a solid B tier series. They did more world building than others had, and the cast had chemistry.

>How would Yea Forums make a original 100% Power Rangers series if Hasbro asked them to do?

Self-contained movie series where each entry has nothing to do with the last one. Get David Leitch to direct and Joe Robert Cole to co-write the first one. No MMPR nostalgia cameos or nostalgia pandering. Straight up new MMPR with new suits. Colors are Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Black and the sixth is silver. Heavy emphasis on fight choreography with continuous shots and next to no cutting.

Hot cat lady and badass dog warrior

What is fhe Power Ranger?

Why is Kimberly so cute Yea Forums?

Power Rangers cartoon when?

Dai Shi is the best PR villain.

Why did the 2017 bomb?

word of mouth

You mean the movie? It failed because
>Power Rangers is cringe no one old nor new wants to admit they watched
>Rangers were hardly in the movie
>Shit zords and character design all around
>About 5 seconds worth of guitar riffs

Is Mighty Morphin' actually going back to the Mighty Morphin' Rangers now then?

Imagine a good GotG style PR film

And competition from Kong and Beauty and the Beast.

lost galaxy

Why didn't they release it at the end of April?

They figured March was a dead zone. Probably never expected the competition.

The rejected film looked better

Lightspeed and/or Time Force. Both are pretty solid and well developed.

A fables one. Have the five rangers representing literary characters like Robin Hood, Peter Pan, Sherlock Holmes etc, with the sixth as a villain-in-redemption, like... eh, dunno.

Eww,no. Have them as pirate

Didn't they do pirate rangers already?

No

Yes. But in Japan.

are these comics or the shattered grid ones any good? I'm a pretty big PR fan but the comics always seem kind of daunting.
Any complete collections out there in the form of megas or torrents?

/prg/ has a folder for the comics. Dunno if it's been updated though.

did they get better at drawing monsters or do they still look generic

Like I said in the last thread, insects. Power Rangers Exo-Strikers

>Red - Atlas Beetle
>Blue - Ice Crawler
>Black - Grasshopper
>Yellow - Mantis
>Pink - Shield beetle
>Gold - Wallace's Giant Bee

The comics up to Shattered Grid are great.
Shattered Grid is alright, bit disappointing in some places.
Don't know about the stuff after it, but if Parrott is taking over both titles, we're in for good shit.

It got better for MMPR when Higgins decided to make them pun based
GGPR always ranged from decent to solid

What's next after that? Adapting Kyuuger, then the latest Super Sentai?

New management, so hopefully no more Super seasons.

Go Go is ok, a bit off the rails but some interesting ideas. Beyond the Grid is sort of good I guess but I want more adventures with the original 6.
