That weird period in the mid-90s where Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network all showed Yogi Bear cartoons
What?
heh, Disney Channel also showed Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster and Godzilla vs the Sea Monster
I mean, Yogi on Cartoon Network at least makes sense.
Not 100% related, but with some digging I've come to discover that 2000s cartoons were influenced by Yogi Bear more than anything else
Just the special though?
That’s no different than CN airing Disney movies (even if it was live-action)
CN has never aired a disney movie tho
Early 90s Disney Channel was pure kino. Showed tons of shit across all genres
>Classic Disney cartoons/Disney Afternoon cartoons
>The old Walt Disney presents documentaries
>Zorro
>Land of the Lost
>Godzilla movies
>The Bakshi LOTR
>Ghibli Hobbit/LOTR, Kiki's Delivery Service, Little Nemo
>Felix the Cat movie
>Fleischer Superman
>Touched By An Angel
>Dinosaurs
>Muppets
>1966 Batman for some fucking reason at one point
They did show a number of Hanna-Barbera cartoons but upon research it seems to be all specials.
They did air the TV show "Yogi's Ark" though
Syndicated release friend I don’t think america had this then again I don’t know what i am saying
Didn't they air Disney's George of the Jungle movie when that reboot of the cartoon was released?
They did once or twice, I wanna say they aired one of the pirates films too
>CN has never aired a disney movie tho
They aired Who Framed Roger Rabbit during the CN Real era when they aired live action movies on the network.
They literally showed Pirates of the Caribbean 2 just last week.
Not even Who framed Roger Rabbit?, they did showed a few Ghibli films that disney owned, like Spirited Away, tough if they aired totoro might hav ebeen the old Fox dub before Disney got the rights, doubt they had showed Grave of the fireflies.
I haven't watched CN since about 2008 but geez they're still showing live action eh
Not the only franchise CN, Disney, and Nick all showed at the same time
Elaborate?
Wtf ghibli lotr? Are you from a different timeline?
I was born too late.
He's really not accurate but it is true that a lot of the people who would found Ghibli made the 1970s Hobbit/LOTR movies
It's one of the HB's most popular properties outside of The Flintstones and Scooby Doo, so that's not surprising
I remember Felix the Cat: The Movie and Little Nemo being on there all of the time but not any of the animated LotR films.
Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf is another one I remember airing a lot on Disney Channel, especially in the early afternoon.
That and all of the Christmas specials that used to air in July like Rudolph and Frosty's Shiny New Year.
