BROTHER OF THE JOKER
MELVIN MELVIN
Does Commissioner Gordon have any brothers?
Yeah, Conditioner Gordon. He's a hairstylist.
>although there is evidence that suggests that Jim was actually Barbara's father
>Commissioner Gordon cucked his own brother
that whole fucking video is a comedic Lobotomy
I had to close the video and pace around and rethink my entire world view after watching 10 seconds of that.
Doug's entire channel is.
This is OP and I can gladly say I never like NC or anyone from TGWTG. I know bragging about not liking something that was popular makes you look like you want to look cool but I'm just saying I always saw how shit he was at being funny.
How far did you get watching this video?
*I never LIKED
Obviously nobody likes NC after all the behind the scenes shit came out.
Surprisingly, he's still doing well. I don't understand either. Well, no, I get that the #changethechannel thing got harmed when the whole thing about Justin came to light.
WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY WAS MADE TO PROMOTE WONKA CANDIES
Sploopity sploosh!
Who is Justin and what happened to him? I didn't really look too deep into #changethechannel (Like I said, I never thought any of the people on TGWTG were funny so obviously I didn't stay updated with them)
When did Doug's life go downhill?
WE ARE NOT DOING THE SUPERVILLAIN SHUFFLE
what a trainwreck
I made it up to Melvin and I'm proud of that fact.
JewWario, who an hero'd several years back. Some rather serious allegations involving underage sex and grooming.
During Kickassia.
That was known for years and it changes nothing about the quality of his trash. Which is trash.
It's so irrelevant in fact that he's doing well like previously said
Doug knows his audience.
All of the stuff in that document was already known except for the JW allegations, and by that point it barely even mattered since all of the big names from their heyday had moved on.
5 seconds
MEEEEEEELVINNNN
Wonder if he'd want to drape the joker, like give him drapes in his hair.
...Yeah that pun didn't really work.
Jesus Christ not even 5 seconds in and the poor guy sitting next to that man-child looks like he wants to fucking die because of how awkward and cringey it is.
I can't even laugh at how pathetic he is anymore hell I can't even feel pity for the deluded autist, I only feel second hand shame for the shit stains that still watch his videos
11 minutes. I almost cracked at 2 minutes though
>poor guy
That's Rob, Doug's brother, and he's an asshole too
Asshole, sure, but not nearly as cringey in that moment.
Why does he try so hard to write Doctor Who speeches?
When he started.
Still waiting for Volume 2.
I wouldn't want to hang out with a smug, unlikeable prick either.
>that time Doug tried to make a music video
youtube.com
But if you had a choice. C'mon.
Would you rather a smug prick you could ignore?
Or some goon who constantly yells and tries to be funny?
It's like he got to 8th grade and then his brain just stopped developing
>When did Doug's life go downhill?
when he tried to turn stupid internet review parodies into a serious business
When he pulled that big stunt of himself quitting to make this his only job.
>When he pulled that big stunt of himself quitting to make this his only job.
That's true, but I'm sure inside his mind he though he was dreaming the dream until the Demo Reel fiasco
Dude really should done what the Nerd did, just look at James. His old fans are still there, he was never involved in some bullshit and when it looked like he was (Ghostbusters 2016) he just ignored it and come out on top in the end.
WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE VEGAS????
WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE VEGAS?!?
You gotta admit though, it is a catchy song.
Oh god, I remember this. He's trying so hard to rip off Dr. Horrible, and it's depressing.
I walked behind Tamura chambera while going to my table at Moomocon and I thing she frated.
*buries channel awesome in your path*
Oof, that's a strong opening
Could you elaborate?
I still hate that he broke the Twilight rant into several bits, you lose the complete impact of him going nuclear
I'm cool!
IT LOOKS LIKE VEGAS
>that abortion rant
>when his sycophant NostalgiaChick who made a "documentary" about her own abortion
serious discussion time
Who of these artistic savants ended up the best?
Who ended up the worst?
Who ended up the happiest?
>best

>happiest
Wiseau
Tommy and Chris are the only ones who've given anything genuinely entertaining, the other two are just untalented hacks who happened to get internet fame back when there was no competition.
I assume Wiseau is high all the time so I'm guessing he's the happiest. He also got a movie about himself where he wasn't portrayed as the monster the book described.
Chris-chan is... well... I really want to watch a biopic post-mortem in what I assume will be 10 years from now max
BLACK MAN, WOMAN
GET IN HERE
The Disaster Artist probably tricked a lot of people into thinking Tommy Wiseau is actually a nice guy, and not the manipulative narcissistic sociopath he actually is, so he likely ended up with the best and probably happiest, at least currently.
Chris-Chan is the worst; his life was pretty much downhill the moment he was born, considering his autism wasn't given the proper attention it needed, so he never got the therapy/treatment necessary to allow him to adjust better. Between his dad dying, his mother likely not too far off, general living conditions, living off of welfare, and Chris-Chan having no concept of societal function, he will always be in the worst situation.
Doug is probably unhappy and cringey, but he seems to understand how to function in society, makes a living wage, and still has a large number of fans, even if they're a bunch of weirdos. Even if he's sick of the Nostalgia Critic, but trapped doing it, I can still see him having plenty of good days. And if he *really* didn't want to do it anymore, he would probably be making steps to return to a normal job.
No idea who the last one is.
He's not complaining about the abortion part but how the characters acted about it
Anyway, the real cringe is in his weird over-the-top mannerisms. I'd hate to be in a movie theather with him in it.
>No idea who the last one is.
Andrew Hussie
IVE NOTICE AN INCONSISTENCY
I'd really respect Doug if he has the balls to somehow incorporate a reference to this into his Suicide Squard review. Too bad he didn't.
Doug is incapable of being self-depreciative in any way. Every time he brings up a past fuckup there's always a "but". "BUT I had a perfectly reasonable excuse for making that mistake", "BUT the guy bringing up that mistake is an obnoxious, intentionally unlikeable strawman", "BUT my audience is a violent, unreasonable bunch who always rains me with disproportionate retribution"
It's never his fault, there's always an excuse.
Didn't he do exactly that in his Christmas with the Kranks video?
A hashtag campaign doing fuck all and imploded on itself?
You don't say.
Gay
Can you give me more about Wiseau's personality? Is he really that bad?
She would.
Yeah, that's basically "my new skit reviews are better and you're objectively wrong if you disagree"
Which is basically him shaming his audience into liking the Demo Reel-type videos
It's been years since I've read it, but the Disaster Artist book, written by the guy who played Mark, details the insanity of Tommy Wiseau.
One thing I remember is that the two of them were "friends," but "Mark" progressively got the feeling that Tommy essentially just wanted someone to feel dutybound to be with him. There was a point where "Mark" got sick of Tommy manipulating him, so he cut off contact with him and took an acting job in another country---I want to say China, but don't quote me on that. While "Mark" was there, he was staying in a hotel room; a delivery came for him, and it was a bouquet of flowers with a note from Tommy Wiseau, "apologizing" for his behavior and hoping his career took off. "Mark" has absolutely no idea how Tommy managed to find out where he was, and knew this was yet another attempt for him to rope "Mark" back under his sphere of influence.
There was another part during the filming of The Room where, prior to the sex scene, Tommy observed that the actress playing Lisa had some pimples or blemishes on her back. Instead of quietly noting it to the make-up artist to cover them up, he instead loudly pronounced it in front of everyone, saying things like her back was too ugly to look at and needed to be fixed, which caused Lisa's actress to break down crying.
The whole book, beginning to end, is pretty much a treatise on the insanity of Tommy Wiseau, ranging from his strange demands and ideas, such as Johnny potentially being a vampire or insisting that his car be in the roof scene, to his strange obsession with Mark's actor and requiring people to constantly be under his influence.
That was harder than I thought it would be. Look at the poor dude in black.
Couldn't get passed seeing Doug shirtless.
Calling Tommy a sociopath is extreme. There was definitely jealousy going on when Greg got a role for the eighth Puppet Master, but Tommy became more withdrawn and depressed than vengeful and sabotage seeking. He's a flawed guy, but he isn't actively malicious. He's socially oblivious more than anything else.
I will agree the movie sugarcoated the story though. And by sugarcoated, I mean "poured an entire quart on it". Probably because Franco was seeking Tommy's blessings, and a lot of the movie was just an excuse for him to act out The Room with his friends.
I stopped watching TGWTG when I realized that I was only laughing at the movie clips and Dougs commentary was adding nothing funny to the experience.
SQUEEDLY SPLOOSH
When he quit his job to become a full youtuber
I think Phelous made fun of this in his Nightmare on Elm Street review.
Oh man. 1:27. Does this man completely lack self awareness? Does he live in a bubble?
Was this Doug’s rock bottom?
He did. Does Yea Forums like phelous?
>a shitty Nostalgia Critic video
Bas-
>le CRINGE compilation
Cringe and bluepilled.
Not even top 10
Yeah, Tommy isn't a sociopathy. Flawed, egotistical, asshole yes. But he isn't a sociopath.
The girl who played Lisa has said some nice things about him in the past and the fact that Gregg and Tommy are still friends says something. There are also a lot of parts in the book where a softer, more caring side of Tommy is shown and it is implied he had a pretty hard upbringing.
Ironically ignoring the controversy he was involved in WAS what Critic did (and in fact he's been doing pretty well in spire of the massive backlash). The only difference here is that James was lucky that Ghostbusters remake was just a fleeting fad and the entire thing could easily be swept under the rug while the problems that Doug encountered (which weren't entirely his fault) were integral to his business.
Hussie's probably dead in a ditch somewhere
