I would find extremely funny if a show that started as a Nolan-wannabe like Arrow ends on a motherfucking Crisis On Infinite Earths adaptation. 8 seasons is a good run though.

Good.

It's not that far off from Iron Man, which started out a realistic story about fighting terrorists heavily inspired by Nolan's Batman and is ending with a battle against an alien tyrant for possession of magic stones.

Attached: Iron Man.jpg (1366x768, 74K)

I mean if your gonna do COIE you'd be stupid to NOT fold the universes together.

Also Ollie is totally gonna die in place of Barry.

>What’s also worth mentioning is that characters from cancelled shows may move over to other series.

Maybe those rumors about Red Death weren't so far off after all.

Legends of Tomorrow would suck but Arrow needed to die a long ass time ago.

>I would find extremely funny if a show that started as a Nolan-wannabe like Arrow ends on a motherfucking Crisis On Infinite Earths adaptation.
What a long, strange journey.

>Also Ollie is totally gonna die in place of Barry.
So he'll die making the shot that saves the multiverse?

>And SUPERGIRL might be folded into Earth-1 for more crossovers with THE FLASH and BATWOMAN
Suuuuure

>christian bone

it's the little things

YAY!

Supergirl has brownie points, I can definitely see the CW merging universes so she crosses over with The Flash all the time in a bid to boost ratings before considering pulling the plug altogether.

but isnt crisis happening at the beginning of next season

>a realistic story about fighting terrorists
and other power armors fielded by corporate rivals which is pretty standard Iron Man fare
>heavily inspired by Nolan's Batman
wat
>and is ending with a battle against an alien tyrant for possession of magic stones
yeah but they always going to do Thor if Iron Man did well so Iron Man was naturally fighting Loki and aliens just a few years later

All that we know is that it's going down this fall.

LoT already has a reduced episode order, maybe Arrow will too.

the season starts in the fall is the whole first half of all seasons gonna be crisis

Yeah, I don't think either these cancellations are shocking or indicate the lack of the show's reach. Both shows had really solidly long runs.

Still, it's quite a leap from relatively ground "technology 20 minutes into the future" to aliens, wizards and time travel.

And it's not like Arrow didn't ditch his Nolan-esque influences as early as season 2 by introducing Mirakuru and the Flash.

>wat

Jon Favreau said Batman Begins was a huge inspiration for the first Iron Man movie in terms of how grounded the story was and how believable the characters were.

The seasons could be cut short, maybe start a few weeks earlier and end At the mid season point

Ollie sacrifices himself by salmon laddering the Crisis to it's end.

>Stop watching Arrow halfway into season 4
>Stop watching Flash after season 2
>Stopped watching legends of tomorrow after the train-wreck that was season 1
Does it get better?

No.

Only Legends. Season 5 of Arrow was good too.

legends season 2 to now has been a lot better, like yes 2 has some bad moments and amaya can be annoying but she was never baristagirl bad

Legends does, the others get worse.

Wegotthiscovered is an unofficial source. Arrow, Legends, Supergirl are not being cancelled idiots.

Which death of a billionaire playboy who has learned the error of his ways and become a superhero to right his wrongs, is viewed as the de-fact leader of Earth's heroes, married his nerdy assistant, has a black best friend who often fills up for him and a superheroic best friend he's often clashing with but cares about deeply, and has walked out of his own retirement multiple times because deep down his low self-esteem dictates he die in battle will hit you the hardest in 2019?

>Wegotthiscovered is an unofficial source.

Well, duh. Official sources don't announce cancellations in advance.

ollie

Arrow- not sure gave that up
The Flash- it’s good, not Season 1 tier but still decent and has some god tier episodes (The Runaway Dinosaur for example)
Legends- went full silver age level of ridiculousness and it’s all the better for it

Isnt it CW who were doing cloak and dagger, god I hope that dosnet get canceled please Disney it was too goof for this world.

No, I’m pretty sure that’s freeform

Makes perfect sense. They put a big deal of emphasis on Tony figuring out how to design and use his armor in semi-realistic fashion. Now it's basically telepathic instantaneous magic.

Tony, but Ollie was also the Fuhrer, so he had his moments, too.

>wegotthiscovered.com
Don't they make shit up?

Flash!

Man, the networks are cleaning house with these comic adaptations.

Attached: 157E0D4EEECF494EA6648177F735A870.jpg (1365x1220, 198K)

No, it's on the other network meant for teenage girls.

Not Flash. Flash gets to stay.

well I hope it lives through this, atleast gets one more season

Wrong network. Also, C&D's a piece of shit.

Their Captain Marvel leaks were legit.

Just make a Justice League show already.

What are the ratings for these shows anyways? I have never met anyone who watches any of these shows other than The Flash

Literally me, I tried to power through Arrow because I heard that S5 actually gets better, but S4 is fucking abysmal.

They are like Agents of Shield, but on smaller scale.

If AoS's US rating plummeted from 12 million first episode to 2 million S5 ending, Arrow plummeted from 4 million pilot to 1 million S6 finality. I think S7 struggles to maintain 1 million ratings.

All momentum that S2 built that had solid ratings was GONE since S3. S3 had even better ratings because of how good S2 was but it's like watching World of Warcraft subscribers graph after acquisition by Activision, it's been on a sure and steady decline.

Flash is going through the same, from 3-4 million average to struggling to get 2 million average.

Supergirl is a joke, it's like Agents of Shield but even worse ratings wise

Legends of Tomorrow while never being that successful anyway now even struggles to get a million.

These shows are dying, why would CW keep them around when they bring Riverdale numbers at this point.

>Flash is going through the same, from 3-4 million average to struggling to get 2 million average.
Isn't that just what's happening throughout all of television?

It is, I think only Game of Thrones out of any recent shows managed to keep the momentum and grow even stronger.

Attached: 300px-DQ5_4.png (889x285, 10K)

what is keeping all these comic TV adaptions alive if they have been dying for years now? Did the networks' owners (Disney and WB) see them as investments to build a fanbase/familiarization of these characters amongst the general public?

Yes.
No.
Yes.

Late viewership and international viewership. For years Agents of Shield hinged on that and when it was released on Netflix and etc it was more popular than most of Netflix shows especially in Europe.

In fact, Agents of Shield is in fact one of the most popular TV shows in the world, just not in America, American audiences become increasingly irrelevant.

AoS has gotten two more shortened seasons not as a pity finality (S5's finality is meant to be somewhat definitive with some openings), it got 2 shortened seasons ahead cause it's not sensible to get rid of it at this point.

I imagine Arrow and Flash are also getting a push from international broadcasts and Netflix.

Attached: 300px-DQ5_4.png (660x285, 35K)

Legends of tomorrow was never good but arrow had some good parts. It's still hard to believe I've been watching it for 7 years despite the vast majority being horrid.

Anyone else miss mommy queen?

Attached: DSCI0476.jpg (582x444, 98K)

International viewership thanks to streaming services.

...Why?

Flash's 2 million kept them off the chopping block

>wegotthiscovered.com
yeah sure

Unrelated but wow's decline had nothing to do with an activision buyout. It was because of terrible game choices in cataclysm followed by even more bad choices in MoP. MoP tried to save itself with SoO but then we got WoD which was basically "HAHA FANWANK CASHGRAB!" that sent the series to shit even harder. Legion tried to fix things, but BfA turned around and fucked everything over again. Now they're banking on Classic to be the sub saver, but they'll be forced to do an OSRS move on it, or start pumping up Classic:TBC and Classic:WotLK.

mousecucks are so desperate

>These shows are dying, why would CW keep them around when they bring Riverdale numbers at this point.

Netflix

She brought a different dynamic to the show. And her being around opened up the business aspect of the show.

No, why that pic?

>heavily inspired by Nolan's Batman

Attached: 1528683175177.jpg (960x607, 94K)

If they do get rid off Arrow it be great to see a Batman Year One Series just a shitty Rookie Batman running around getting advice from old man Oliver Queen.

>These shows are dying, why would CW keep them around when they bring Riverdale numbers at this point
Because everything on the CW that isn't DC, Riverdale, or Supernatural does absolutely abysmally. "Riverdale numbers" is the benchmark for a successful show on the network now.

Also, like the other user said, the CW has Netflix money.

I have a Christian bone for her.

I thought s1 of Legends was really terrible.

But then somewhere along the season 2 I thought "holy fuck, when did the writing get above average?" And for a CW show, "above average" is more than I'd ever dreamed of.

>Merge the shows into "Arrow and the Legends of Tomorrow".
It could totally work if they drop everything from Arrow besides Oliver.

I just really miss her.

Supergirl is being swapped out for a Superman TV show since they are doing a SG movie.

Cloak and Dagger is Marvel for one, and no

I liked drunk Barry I guess?

The CW doesn't measure success simply by ratings. They also take social media, online viewship, merchandising and licensing into account.

Despite relatively low ratings, Riverdale is a global phenomenon, and their DC shows produce a yearly $1 billion+ revenue.

That's just not happening.

Gee, I can't imagine why people would stop watching Supergirl.

Other than the endless lectures about how we all need to "be better" and "make a difference" and "attend lesbian weddings".

Aside from that, Supergirl is a perfectly serviceable super climate change gun control wage disparity hero show.

Arrow Season 5 is fucking fantastic and is a return to form for the series. Easily worth watching. 6&7 have both been average at best.

Flash gets slightly better in Season 3 and then worse in 4. 5 has been decent for the most part.

Legends got significantly better in Season 2 and then just went full out wacky time traveling shenanigans in S3 which put the show on a whole different level S4 somehow upped the wackiness and added Constantine from the cancelled NBC show for a perfect blend of fun. It's honestly the best Arrowverse TV show

Non-shitty link

>cosmicbook
sure thing

>relatively ground "technology 20 minutes into the future"
There's nothing grounded in Ironman's tech.

In context it was.

They should end Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and Batwoman to turn into JLA and keep Legends of Tomorrow. Legends is there only consistently fun and entertaining show.

The problem I have with the Flash and Arrow is that most of the side characters are more interesting than the lead. I wish Barry had stayed in the speed force I actually liked Black Kid Flash.

>the source they used is the same as OP

One million is good for CW.

hah

gaaaaaay

>Black Kid Flash
>Blackid Flash
>Blacked Flash
But user Barry's already been blacked in this universe

They both had good runs, but they're reaching the end of their life. More shows should know when to close down on top, when their plot threads have all concluded and there's nothing left for them to do, rather than starting whole new plot threads that end up spiraling out of control.

i hope they keep Constantine and Heatwave around

also how the fuck is Flash still somewhat successfull? the writing this season has been complete and utter trash garbage

>and their DC shows produce a yearly $1 billion+ revenue.
Doubt

These shows are pretty popular, bro. Specially in foreign markets where they're distributed by Netflix.

>These shows are pretty popular, bro
Yeah that's why they're getting canceled

You Dkeks need a SERIOUS reality check

How about all those Netflix shows my man

The ones that are being moved to Hulu?

I really hate how the Iron Man films, and the MCU in general, ended up panning out. The first Iron Man, and a lesser extent the second, felt like such perfect distillations of all the good classic comics (Gene Colan, especially Michelenie/Layton, a little Busiek and Ultimates thrown in for good measure) in terms of characterisation, aesthetics, putting an emphasis on Tony-as-inventor, making you BELIEVE this fantastical technologies could work and surrounding him with believable, well-written supporting characters - and from Iron Man 3 onwards all pissed away in a sea of Extremis/Fraction/Bleeding Edge garbage where Tony's basically a wizard and his technology is pure magical bullshit, and his character reduced to a stupid person's idea of what it is to be smart.

As much as I love Legends, we knew it couldn't last. In fact we should be grateful for that amazing second season and what they've given us so far.
As for Arrow... Well, who gives a shit.

Allegedly. Nothing's confirmed. As far as we know for you, All of Marvel's streaming is cancelled.

>denial is your superpower

You're on the right track.

Don't keep any show and blow it all up so we can have a crossover episode every episode.

The gay guys? Yeah, no.

I only watch Supergirl. Do the other shows have their techy support characters do shit on the level of Winn?

>New alien race so advanced our standard weapons due nothing to their shit
>Get in their ship and everything's hacked in two minutes.

>wegotthiscovered

They are clickbait and make shit up

Yes.

Attached: Tech Support.jpg (1200x671, 95K)

It's kinda great how much embrace and even draw attention to the underlying formula all the shows share when they have crossovers.

I'm not gonna lie -- quitting the Arrowverse shows (except for Legends) has been one of the best decisions I've made in a while. They are literally comicbook levels of mediocre/subpar/bad -- the sort of quality that Yea Forums is used to (via comics and bad cartoons) but which gets tiring after long enough.

Ultimately, all of these shows are doomed for these fates because they lack good showrunners with singular visions.

I'd watch a show with just random stories with Flash side characters like Earth-2 Wells and Cristo just shooting the shit or Joe being the black dad I now crave

>Ultimately, all of these shows are doomed for these fates because they lack good showrunners with singular visions.
Nah it's cause they'll continue forever until they're no longer determined to be profitable

If they cancel Arrow and Flash how will my favorite Spartacus actors feed their families?

Attached: this is how I gladiator.jpg (1920x1080, 476K)

everyone says that legends gets better but i watched a single episode after abandoning it early into season one and it was unbearable.

the only thing that moved the plot forward was the characters making absolutely retarded decisions

I couldn't get into it, I only liked Stein, and Ray. I found Hunter especially uncharismatic
I usually liked Snart but he didn't have a great showing in early Legends from what I saw

You just have bad taste, user.
Nothing we can do.

Legends' first season is atrocious, but it finds a nice so-bad-it's-good grove with season two.

>realistic story about fighting terrorists

Attached: Ha!.jpg (500x396, 49K)

And we'll get Superman with fourth best Lois

You are lying though.

If you stopped watching a show, you'll never know if you'd love following seasons. And if you take others word for it, instead of ur own, ur lying to yourself.

Ur a liar. Period.
