214-Samurai Jack
All the western animated cartoons on IMDB's top 250 shows
VB should be higher.
This is almost physically painful to look at
How the fuck. I don't agree with any of those numbers compared to non-animation never mind within the genre.
If you are wondering, if this was a top 300, Regular Show, Courage, Voltron and Steven Universe would also probably be on the list due to how close they are to Samuels Jack's rating.
Rick and Morty is only the highest cause it has the most votes. Still surreal to see it higher than stuff like Batman: The Animated Series.
*Samurai Jack's
I'm honestly shocked that the Steven Universe fandom didn't meme the show into being easily within the top 100, let alone the top 250.
I seem to remember the most recent episode had a 9.9 or some other ridiculous score, so I guess I expected the show's overall rating to be inflated too.
R+M over ATLA, BTAS and OTGW hurts just a little bit
I don't think Voltron would be there since the fanbase completely turned against it by the end
Pretty sure he means original Voltron, not Legendary Defender
Please tell me that this is a joke.
>R&M that high
>JLA that low
>Sam Jack that low
>AT that low
>Futurama that low
Though the later seasons really do harm Futurama's potential rating as a full series. Actually a bunch of those shows are dragged down. If you picked out the top seasons of each and put them up against each other I think the ratings would be a lot different.
>Gravity Falls
>Bojack Horseman
>Adventure Time
>Legend of Korra
>If you picked out the top seasons of each and put them up against each other I think the ratings would be a lot different.
Simpsons would be #1.
all of those except Korra are fine being on that list
Early AT deserves to be higher but later AT doesn't deserve to be on that list at all.
>original voltron
>western
nah, he meant LD
We already went over this a couple of days ago. Samurai Jack is criminally low, TLOK doesn't belong there, and anyone who thinks Young Justice belong in both the top 10 animated shows and top 100 TV shows of all time needs to have his head examined.
>Yea Forums complains about Samurai Jack's ending all day
>WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S #217?
Still had a better ending than AT.
>Samurai Jack that low
This really IS the worst timeline.
Also, where is Spawn?
It would be interesting to compare it to Yea Forums's list.
If I'm not misremembering, I think the top 4 was:
>Samurai Jack (#217)
>Avatar The Last Airbender (#13)
>Batman TAS (#25)
>Teen Titans (Not on the list, very far from it with a 7,8 rating)
I liked Teen Titans but let's be real:
It was #4 ENTIRELY due to waifus.
What I hate about IMDB the most is the ratings aren't indicative of the quality of the show, but how much the users liked them.
I'd argue the show has some of the best character designs in western animation period.
The only way to objectively judge quality is to look at what the majority likes
>SJ that low
Come on man
>best character designs in western animation period.
You would have a point if those wouldn't have been taken from a comic.
So, it was half George Perez's work.
>there are still people that think IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes are good sources for movie scores
They were drawn way more appealingly in Teen Titans. People forget how much the addition of big eyes and big heads add to a character's appeal. The face is the most expressive part of the body, and the eyes are the most expressive part of that
>4 DC shows (Batman TAS, Young Justice, Justice League and BTNAS)
>1 Marvel show (X-Men TAS)
So I guess this confirms DC>Marvel in animation.
>DC>Marvel in animation
That's common knowledge my guy.
Everybody's costumes were redesigned from the ground up. Raven's purple hair and gray skin, Cyborg's shaved head, and Beast Boy's pointy ears and teeth are all original to the cartoon. The only one mostly based on the comics' design was Robin, and that was way more Tim Drake than Dick Grayson.
It's the other way around really. There's a metric fucton of people who like SU, to the point where it became the no. 2 highest trending topic on twitter when diamond days dropped, but few really love the show. R&M, meanwhile, has an fanbase insanely devoted of autists who are willing to go out of their way to give the show high scores on sites like IMDb
And that's the thing with IMDb. It's less about overall popularity and more about cult appeal. That's why most of the shows on the list are either action, muh deepest lore, or have at least something in them that appeals to nerds, and why shows that are absolutely massive with your average Joe normie like SpongeBob, EEnE and Family Guy aren't on the list
Eh, I always hated the pointy ears for Beast aboy because I always thought it legitemately went against his character that: a rich kid from Hollywood who is an asshole but with good heart or something.
>Young Justice
>94
I'm not complaining but I am legitemately surprised.
Kinda but if you think Teen Titans is better written than most of the DCAU you are crazy.
>I'd argue the show has some of the best character designs in western animation period.
Nightwing's design was really fucking bad though, which is weird because Nightwing had the best design in comicd after Superman, Spider-Man and Daredevil.
GF doesn't deserve to be on the list either
A majority of people also like reality TV.
So it's objectively good. Or are you one of those faggots who thinks quality is based entirely in your feefees
GF doesn't deserve to be so high on that list
>X-Men TAS
Is it good?
If you are wondering, Samurai Jack has a 8.4 rating
Nostalgia goggles to the max. I remover getting the VHS’s from Pizza Hut back in the day. It’s sorta painful to watch now.
It's the best X-Men adaptation, even with stuff like them fucking up the Proteus Saga due to S&P not letting them do zombies and Proteus killing people and the rape subplot. Especially since they kept Jean's suicide intact in Dark Pheonix Saga.
The ending is half-assed though but the first 4 seasons (everything through the Dark Phoenix Saga) is golden.
Nope. Aged like a turd in the sun and people only like it because a) they grew up with it and/or b) they're fanboys who would gladly drink piss in a cup if it had an X-Men logo on the side
HAHAHAHA what
How the fuck is Spectacular Spider-Man nowhere on that list? I knew IMDb lacked taste, but seriously.
