they made goofy look so creepy in the series and I really don't know why but it makes me not want to watch basically all of the episodes

The ones I've seen have all been great, but goofy just disgusts me to the point of nausea

I mean OG Goofy was a weird hobo who hung around the gang. His song is literally a thing "happy wanderers" sung in old plays and vaudeville skits.

I think there's 100% room for a cartoon where Goofy "cleans up" to 50s/60s "George Goof" for an episode. That could be really funny.

I love the musical cues in these shorts. Like that little tingle when they notice that Goofy is gone and fucking with the timeline is basically the musical cue from Back to the future when they notice that something in the timeline is changed. Or the majestic music when they seel the Goofosaurs is a cue to Jurassic Park.

Does Bill Farmer still play Goofy in these? The voice direction is so much more dynamic than something like Kingdom Hearts.

I think it's actually that in prehistoric times, everyone looked like Goofy but they eventually died out. But under Goofy's leadership they were able to prosper. Like that episode of Time Warp Trio where they left behind a pair of binoculars and that led the Neanderthals to overtake the Cro Magnons.

Well yeah, don't have to worry about lipsync when you're starting fresh.

I think much of the inspiration for this butterfly effect time traveling dates back to A Sound of Thunder, really.
