Superhero films only have 3 plots
>Villain endangers loved one
>Hero faces villain who is a dark reflection of himself
>Villain threatens to poison/destroy city with a nuke or something
How far do you agree with this?

It's almost like most stories our society tells revolve around almost universal concepts like conflict born of love, fighting ones nature and society itself coming under threat.
These are Incredibly common story elements because most people you've ever met or will ever meet have in some way had someone they love, and the idea of them coming under threat is an emotional hook for any narrative. Most people also have internal conflicts. That's easily expressed by the dark mirror trope.
And society/earth coming under threat by a nuke or something is just a thing any sane person would resonate with.
Really this thread is dumb.
You forgot quest for a McGuffin.
Congrats on turning 14, user.
Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming don't really fit that bill.
>Captain America: Civil War
Hero faces villain >(Hero) who is a "dark" reflection of himself
> Spider-Man: Homecoming
Selling Alien weapons to criminals .....
There are also
>Villain is an respected part of society, who no one suspects to be the villain
>Villain destroys heroes reputation, hero tries to prove his innocence
>Former friend turns evil, wants to take revenge at the Hero
>Hero faces villain >(Hero) who is a "dark" reflection of himself
Not really, Bucky isn't even the main antagonist.
mostly. it's embarrassing that these movies are praised as great films when the plot is generic and predictable. it's just something the audience has never experienced before.
Literally 99.99999% of fiction is generic and predictable.
and yet these movies are praised as fine entertainment
Because they are.
good for you, user. good for you.
You can boil down basically every plot to one of the small handful of possible types of conflict there are.
you're not even trying
He is talking about Captain America and Iron Man
But Iron Man was right
There are literally 7 total stories to tell. That's it. That one genre has managed to tell three is an achievement. Romance for instance is an entire genre centered around one story.
