I've been criticizing the game like crazy, But I really liked it, is just that it could have been much better. For example, you have all that effort put into the architecture of a single place, but then they decide to ruin the insertion by putting the same looking shrine in the middle of it. It stick out like a sore thumb to have a weird looking building in the middle of all that Greek inspired setting.

The 7 sages from LBW are explicitly mentioned as carrying the blood of the 7 sages from OoT.
Rauru is probably Osfala's ancestor.
Saria is obviously Gulley's ancestor.
Darunia has to be Rosso's since he's part Goron.
Ruto has to be Oren's ancestor since she's Zora.
Impa is Impa's ancestor (duh).
Zelda is probably Seres's ancestor due to her proximity to the castle town.
That means Nabooru is Irene's ancestor, and by extension the ancestor to Maple and Syrup (which makes sense since the Gerudo are known for producing witches).
Either that or Seres is a Gerudo, but I don't see Gerudo going the nun route. It literally has to be one of the chicks (cause Gerudo can only have daughters) other than Impa and Oren since they have known ancestors.

Eh, why would it be a retcon? Interdimensional travel in Zelda is par for the course. You do it by accident in MM. It's a gameplay element in Seasons. The origins for a few races are explicitly interdimensional travel. The Minish had strong ties to Hyrule for centuries despite their homeland being a separate dimension. Etc. What are you talking about? Subrosia is just an underground place "hollow earth style" There is a pirate ship that sunk into the sand in the surface and the other side ended up in Subrosia. You can enter the ship in the surface and walk to the other side in the underworld.

I think part of the problem is we have massive chunks of what I would describe as the most interesting lore missing and Nintendo generally has refused to let Hyrule evolve naturally and keeps trapping us in the smallest part of the kingdom with generally either the same level of tech or an apocalypse having just happened so tech is inconsistent as fuck
