Nothing, I was just wondering if you made anymore. I love the show but it feels like there's not much to talk about. When do you think we'll see Baxter Stockboy again? What do you think of the changes to Splinter's origin?

I'm honestly wondering if there's more to Splinter's origin than we know. Was he just an exceptionally good martial artist turned actor as it appears? Or was Lou-Jitsu a screen name and he's actually connected to the Hamato clan, assuming the Hamato's exist

I can answer the second question, I like their take on the origin. And yeah, I've caught up with all the episodes so far.

I can't believe we're at a point where I can say a TMNT adaptation could use "more April".
Between this show, the Netflix film, and the live action Paramount movie it's going to be an interesting few years.

I love teenage April, not gonna lie. It just makes so much more sense. 2012 I feel for the first time emphasized that they were teenagers, they actually felt like real kids. I was like 14 and 15 watching it and they actually felt like they could be my peers. It'd be weird if they acted like teenagers and hung around some grown woman. Why would a grown woman be friends with teenage boys anyway? Not only is it creepy, but she's gotta be a huge fucking NEET loser. NEET pervert April could be a fun concept though.

How do you do the edits?

Oh I love it. I'll be honest I was skeptical about it at first but after I saw the first three episodes, I was hooked.

The episode about Splinter being sick was pretty ass though ngl.

It's probably the weakest episode but I appreciate that it was a training episode and that this Splinter has such an unconventional training method, I'd like to see more.

More Splinter episode would be very much appreciated.

I personally prefer her being a reporter (80s April is my favorite), but teenage April grew on me. Like I mentioned before, I do like how in Rise, there's no romance involved with her.

Is it her design or is there more that makes you prefer her? I've only seen the first few episodes of the 80s show, but I like Michael Bay April. I get the advantages of having her be a reporter but I'm not attached to it, for obvious reasons. And would it even work today? She'd probably be more like a journalist.

I'm assuming 80s April was supposed to be kind of like what Elisa Maza was to the Gargoyles, which makes sense, but because I got into the franchise so much later my definition of what it means to be "April O'Neil" is a lot looser.

to be fair at least in the Mirage Comics despite the Teen in the name they basically acted like adults for the most part, same with the Archie comics once they stopped directly adapting the cartoon, and while the 80's cartoon versions did act immature, they didn't really act like teenagers either, it wasn't really till the 2012 cartoon that the Teen part of the equation actually had any relevance

also when it comes to April, there's basically only three items I feel she needs to fulfill for any version of her;

1) she's a girl(duh)

2) she's the first normal Human friend of the Turtles

3) that she acts as a voice of reason to them in matters outside of being Ninjas(which is Splinter's job for the most part)

I'm not sure, but I'd be branching off of the NEET idea. April2018 is a bit of a social outcast but I think it'd be interesting to kind of amplify that idea. We've had versions where the turtles have had crushes on April, but what if we had an April that was a complete awkward degenerate freak? The type of girl that would actually be into scales and shit like that? I don't have much of an idea besides that so far, but I think it's an interesting starting point I think.

I'm not sure. They're at opposite ends of the spectrum, but I think she'd either be really skinny or Amethyst-tier chubby, either way she'd have wide hips. I wish Rise wasn't so hit and miss. For every masterpiece like War and Pizza and Shell in a Cell we get crappy episodes like Down With the Sickness and Smart Lair.

The low level villains are the weakest part. They seem like not much went into them.

The turtles have a lot put into them and this is probably the best series in giving them different personalities and motivations, as well as unique looks etc. But magician hippo, pig butcher, and repo mantis guy just seem like very last minute, low effort ideas.

Idk (most) of them were given strong introductions imo but then they didn't really do anything after that
As much as I like the loose tone of the series, we need more serious battles and missions
Warren Stone seemed like the set up for a really fun recurring villain but we've barely seen him since his debut
The show introduces new villains before further developing established ones which is a problem because unlike the 2012 show it doesn't switch perspectives often, we only really see the enemies when they're interacting with the turtles
I loved the musical number, but we still don't know jack shit about Baron Draxum

They allready have a relatively serious antagonist with the Foot Clan. There’s only 1 episode where they’re a joke. In every other episode they take themselves mostly seriously.
It’s called RISE of the TMNT. The point is that right now, they are complete noobs who don’t know how to be heroes quite yet. Eventually they will get better.

There is a story but its separated between chunk of episodes. It’s not a show that you watch for the story but there is one, that involves Drex, Splinter and the turtles.
It has a story but its a silly one, just like the show itself.

This is so amazing I can't believe it was based off my ideas. I was thinking about how she'd meet her version of the turtles. A convention would be funny and appropriate, but I think she'd also be on some Goldilocks shit since she's such a creep. Somehow finding and stumbling into the lair, snooping around, and then sleeping in all of their beds.

I can't speak in reference to all the April's because I haven't seen all of them but she'd be the type to actively seek them out and just kind of show up at the lair randomly excited to talk to them, show them new human stuff, and check out their bodies.

She'd also probably have a really bad competitive streak without even realizing it.

only at first glance, 2k3 Mikey is a talented slacker (by admition of both Leo and Splinter he is the fighter with most potential of the 4 and he did won the battle nexus tournament) who at first glance seems like a goofball but is the most emotionally mature and self aware of the turtles, there is this great scene in one of the episodes (I believe is the one where Usagi comes to new york) when Raph is about to lecture Leo about him having an attitude problem (leo went trough a phase in season 4 after he got humiliated and almost kill by Shredder) but Mikey cuts him off by literally explaining the role that Leo has is pretty much what allows the other 3 to be free of be what they want because Leo carries the responsibility for them so he should lay off and let him deal with.
